Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, This is what happened to me so far: I stopped with the meds many years ago. The closest I have come since November 03 to meds is an over-the-counter tube of benzol peroxide 2.5% to zap spots. I only used it one time in about a month. But I've used bentonite to draw stuff out of my skin. Prior, I had the various antibotics (erythromicin was a bit one and gantanol (?)). I must have had everything you've had plus maybe some other stuff (but I never had metrogel); and laser work. But all that is in the past. I'm never going there again. I have made great progress since January just on the Ayurvedic Cleanse and on one liver cleanse (next one is this coming weekend)and intestinal cleansing, of course, with a slightly better diet (my diet was good before, but now I'm trying to pay more attention to pitta calming foods). Regarding your nose swelling -- to me, just like the other rosacea symptoms, that's your body crying out for help. I didn't have nose swelling, put *plenty* of red " broken capilaries " many of these have subsided all on their own just doing as I note above. (Also, learn about your Essential Fatty Acids. I've been supplementing with these. The one we tend to lack is Omega 3. The EFAs do tissue repair.) Oh -- I seem to recall having a little skin peeling, too after the Ayurvedic cleanse. I thought this was a good sign. I believe OneLove will be able to tell us about the books you note. Guest guest
Hi PC, Thanks for the info. Did you think it made a positive impact that you had the laser done before cleansing (to rid some of the damage)? Also, I saw in a previous post you mentioned bentonite - could you tell a little about what that is? Hope you get the results you want with the Ayurvedic. Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, The laser (IPL) brought lots of relief. I first did it in December 2000. This was after chasing around for relief for over 15 years. I'd already stopped with the derms, since they weren't helping; and I was onto the alternatives. Funny how NO ONE told me about the liver flush. Perhaps rosacea and acne are so sparsely distributed in the population that there is very little experience with the diseases in the alternative community. Anyway, IPL was a lifesaver. It did get rid of a lot of my symptoms; many of which seemed to be permanent fixtures on my skin. Of course, whatever was/is going on internally in me is very capable of producing more symptoms. So I am glad to finally have found a course of action that seems to be getting to the root of it all. The IPL was good for me at the time, since it was the ONLY thing that gave me relief. I don't know how my skin would look now had I learned about Ayurvedic and liver flushing at that time instead. I might have saved some big-time lolly ($$), I'll tell you! ;-) Bentonite is a clay that comes powdered and you mix it up with water or, better still, Apple Cider Vinegar (organic from the health food store) and apply it as a mask. It draws out toxins. You can also take it internally for the same purpose. It comes in liquid form, also, for drinking. But it's the same thing. And you can get it in caps. I have a product called " 6 in 1 " that has bentonite and a host of other goodies for one's insides. Hope things work for you! PC , " bonnie_hil " <bonnie_hil> wrote: > Hi PC, > Thanks for the info. Guest guest
Hi PC. I am going to wait on the IPL and see if it is needed after doing all the necessary cleansing. I'd love it if you'd post your flushing diary here. Enjoy your vacation. Bonnie
Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, Good you won't have the IPL. Now that you know there's a better, holistic, *cheaper* way to go! And it really is a cure. OneLove: OK, not putting my herbal into the apple juice. I didn't know juices were counterproductive to herbals. Hear a bit of squabble about grapefruit juice now and then, but nothing else. Thanks.
