Increasing your garlic intake would help to facilitate this. Guest guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Daily supplementation with Lysine or any other amino acid is not recommended. It can cause an imbalance of amino acids in the body, and create unpredictable effects. I wish there were more data on this subject. I have tried lysine and it seems to work only sometimes. Until electromedicine is allowed and properly developed, we will have to wait for reliable ways to handle viruses. Specific electrical pulses at specific frequencies have been known to instantaneously wipe out viruses. But at the moment researching or practicing this kind of medicine is close to illegal in the USA. Many practitioners and researchers have been jailed or killed in recent years. Last night i was reading a book from 1948 that included an essay about how primitive people regard healing. It was fascinating. One of the points made was how many primitive medicine men would take great pains to make sure everyone in the tribe believed in their particular theory of how disease is caused -- and thus believed in the fact that the medicine man had special powers to cure diseases. Maybe our society hasn't advanced all that far yet from this position. At 07:18 AM 4/17/02 -0700, you wrote: > >For fever blisters (are they the same virus as cold >sores?), you can take Lysine. Maybe our society hasn't advanced all that far yet > from this position. ie illness is psychosomatic and the cure is psychogenic there was a famous doctor who went to 3 M many years ago and told them to make him rolls of tape with an electric blue color. there was only to be 1 meter of tape on each roll. 3 M told him it was not cost effect and they could easily supply roll of 60 to 100m. But the doctor insisted. He then took these rolls of tape to his patients and told then them the tape was this new cure for warts, but they had to be very careful the tape cost $100 a roll! So they should only use a piece large enough to cover the wart and no more. He told them 99% of all people had their warts fall off in one week and the other 1% took between 2 weeks and one month but 100% of people were cure using this method. His patients warts ALL fell off in one week. He was using basic old Scotch tape (registered trademark of 3M needs to be here) but with the wild color. When he published his results in a medical journal, he almost lost his license. Another doctor I personally know had a cancer patient who was convinced he was the greatest doctor in the world and the operation he was going to undergo would be totally successful, However, when my friend opened this man up, the cancer was everywhere. He knew there was no point in removing the turmor, so he stitched the man back up. When the man woke up, he asked the doctor how the operation went adn the doctor told him " I did the best I could and we will just have to see how you do " (My friend was convinced this man would be dead in na month or two) The man said, " I am sure it was a complete success. I know you have cured me. " Two months later, the man had so signs of cancer adn all his blood work showed he was normal. A tumor the size of a grapefruit was gone. No drug, no radiation no chemo. the man believed. Our biggest ally is our motal enemy, our minds and beliefs. most of us Wish....... but believe......... and what we believe is what rules us. Guest guest Report post Posted April 19, 2002 Hi Everyone, Just came out of lurking for a moment when I saw someone asking about getting rid of cold sores. I just had one and I discovered if you put a bit of essential oil of oregano on it every few hours, it kills it off very quickly. It will still have to heal over and scab of course, but the oregano seems to knock the @%#@%$ out of the cold sore right away. This stuff is powerful and will feel like it's burning any sensitive skin so don't be getting it up your nose or in your eyes etc., just try and keep it right on the spot. Anyway, thanks for all the great information that gets shared on the list, it's much appreciated. --Shelley
Guest guest Report post Posted April 21, 2002 Cold sores have been a problem for my parents and myself as far back as I can remember. Only since I have started using Vits. & minerals have I found much real relief from them. I take 400mgs. of vit.E and 15mgs. of zinc a day on a daily basis. I still get cold sores sometimes, but they never get as big or as sore as they did before using the suppliments. I think it is as Michael says, these boost the immune system so anything you can do to aid in this will help. Martha --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest Report post Posted April 30, 2002 THE GREATEST REMEDY FOR ''COLD SORES'' for me at least is OIL OF OREGANO, in four days they were gone, comp[letely healed. I am one of those who can reply on getting a cold sore once a year, so I have had very good experience in trying to solve my problem and I say again there is only one remedy for me " OIL OF OREGANO " Love Paz --- Michael Riversong <rivedu wrote: > Daily supplementation with Lysine or any other amino > acid is not > recommended. Its a must in our family. I am just getting over a cold sore. I get them every time in the same place this time of year. I first use an alcohol pad on it 2x's a day and then I put a herbal salve which has tons of comfrey in it. This clears them up in about 4-5 days. Guest guest Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Hi Lauren, As a frequent sufferer of cold sores myself I can empathize with you. It would seem that every time I turned around I had a cold sore or two. Drove me nuts. Nothing I tried seemed to help much. Finally I changed my diet to a more alkaline one of fresh fruits and veggies. I have not had a cold sore in over two years and the last one I had lasted about two days and disappeared on its own. Just my two cents worth. If your body is acidic the virii, bacteria, and fungusoids just love you to death, literally. Get away from the flour products, meats, junk food and processed foods and you will most likely find the relief you seek on an ongoing basis. Much better to treat the dis-ease instead of just the symptom.
