Guest guest Report post Posted November 14, 2007 We often wonder if we did the right thing. What brings the confusion in the midst of knowing between the complete right and the wrong? It is usually a desire that has been with us for so long…that it has become a part of us. Hence when we are trying to consider the right, these desires that are now a part of our own nature are mixed with it. And because we have befriended these desires it becomes painful to separate from them in order to analyze them and uproot them. To us at that point uprooting the desire is considered a destruction of peace within us. We have to be strong. We cannot be double faced when we have committed ourselves to God. To reach the right we have to be brave to dig deep within us…to destroy the so-called temporary "peace". We have to separate the truth from desire within us…we cannot protect both! If we protect our desire then the truth will surely be fogged. And to sustain truth we must be able to bear the dissection of our own desires. Little do we realize that to avoid bearing this pain we readily undergo the pains of so many confusions. It is like a patient that considers the disease as a part of himself and refuses to be touched by the "surgeon's knife"!Part of the book: 'Inspiring Thoughts' By Seema M.
