Mr Raj has expressed noble ideas in this thread; I wonder why he treated me

differently in another thread. Certainly, he thinks me to be an unwelcome

nuisance. But can Jyotisha be moulded into a monolith, cutting away all that is

not palatable to any particular group or ideology ?? If it happens, Jyotisha

will die. But I know it will never happen.

Only care we should take about is that we do not forget other objectives of the

group and other aspects of our karma.

I also manage a very small astrology forum and I understand the importance of

sacredness of spirit of forum and the cleaniness of the forum so that the

information is able to flow seamlessly without inappropriate noise inbetween.

" Astrology is also a professional subject " .

Ancient scriptures say otherwise. Cf. Manusmriti, Mahabharata.

Dear Rohini

What is this you are doing? You are making a joke out of someone's name.

His name is Jamini Bhusan Padhi. In Hindi it would be written जामिनि

Dear Sanjay,

What is in a name?

How can one make a joke of 'something' that would change as soon as we die! All

of us?

Hindi is my mother-tongue, the very first language I learned -- but I have never

seen it written like I saw it in your angry post! That was not devnagri for

sure!

Why are you so upset? Let us all celebrate the eclipse! :-)

Hi,

I have seen certain discussion threads becoming too " personal "

and certain responses clearly lack the etiquette of civility.

If this forum tends to become a " bazaar " for astrology ( with no

bars, like our politics), I would like to dissociate from this group.

No offense meant to anybody!

Dear Shrikrishna Ji,

Let me try to clear some thing! V-A is a " Group " , which can also be

termed as Assembly of people , where astrologers and advice seekers join

hands. It cannot in any way be called a Bazaar or Assembly of people

prohibited under some section of the IPC.There are no invitations or

advertisements for joining this group. No elections are held for this

Group to become Ministers, because it is not formed under any

constitution , thus there is no limit of maximum seats. There are no

farewell or welcome speeches.

There ought to be few leg pulling in such a large group, where no one

has to announce one's Arrival & Departure. There ought to be few tit

bits and rising of temperature, genuine or not so genuine , here and

there, between any one. This can happen in any

group/team/gathering/field.

But, the beauty is having no C.E.O here. The astrologers , people having

inclination and interest in astrology and also people who seek free

astrology advice are the people who at any given time, form this Group.

The group has grown in strength despite some skirmishes, leg pulling,

sarcastic comments, criticism etc now and then, right from inception.

When I am typing this , the last Message No. is 118087 (More than one

Lac). Perhaps very few people must have read even all the messages.

Despite all this, the Group is moving ahead in the spread of Vedic

Astrology. I have also observed that a number of people have termed few

discussions to the extreme extent of Heinous Crimes. Other labels like

; lack of democracy, un-democratic, lack of manners, lack of good sense,

lack of etiquettes uncivilised also appear. The are not abnormal traits

in all of us, which raise their head from time to time and we all do

learn a lot by way of self-analysis, and few of us do have such

inclinations ,I believe .

As far as my knowledge goes, no Astrologer in this group has appeared on

the TV shows on Jyotish, for showing their faces to their families and

friends,in order to get some kind of fame, and most of them becoming a

laughing stock and blot on the Astrology ( with rare exceptions, few

learned Gurus/Teachers of Astology have also come). I hope that some

members of this group from India would have also watched the live drama

between Jyotishis, other people, on a channel, for a long time, on the

occasion of Surya Grahan.

How many astrologers who have been writing in this Group ; are doing so

for sake of money or to show their faces and body parts ? To a greater

extent, it can be genuinely termed as selfless service, starting from

the great teachers who have set up such groups and have shared their

deep knowledge openly, without any reservation with all and sundry. Are

you aware that most of the times, astrologers do not even get a simple

" Thank You " for their advice, but they go on. And the Group is

growing in it's esteem. Dear Shrikrishna Ji, , Groups are like the

proverbial ` Kajal Ki Kothri' and we know that " Kitna Jati

ho koi, Kitna sati ho koi, Kamini Ka kaam bhai Jage hi jage, Kajal ki

kothri main kaiso hi jatan karo, kajal ka daag bhai lage hi lage re bhai

kajal ka daag bhai lage hi lage " ; and yet all of us like to enter

this kothri and go out WITH a blot ! Some karma or destiny here !

Dear Raj ji,

I agree with some of your points, but of late I have seen

too many exchanges on " personal " basis. That's why

I said , it is tending to be a bazaar, which has no moderation

or self-control. Pls. note that I am indicating a symptom; it has

not yet become a disease.

I feel, the rate at which the personal tirades are exchanged,

the noble cause for which this group started may get obliterated.

I definitely opt for moderation here - if it is not out of the

individual's

self-control , the moderator has to force it. If anybody thinks that nicety

is

weakness, I beg to differ..

regards

Shri

Dear Raj ji,

A similar thread in another group, was forcibly stopped by moderator,

deleting some really annoying mails. This may sound too harsh ( we

practice democracy too strongly, especially in verbal exchanges!) but

to maintain the decorum it was necessary.

In the above case , the group ( except a few , who eagerly wait for others

to fight) really felt relieved after the message went from moderator about

the

group's purpose, dos and donts to members and all the " special " messages

were deleted from the thread.

If the end product of any discussion is the sour feeling between individuals

and

no learning for anybody, it is better to cut that thread at the start.

I leave it to the moderator of this group to decide on it.

regards

Shri

Dear Rohini

I was not angry at all when I wrote that. I was calm like ice. I was just

directed at Two brilliant Jyotishis, way more accomplished than what I can ever

dream of being (names withheld!). This makes me feel as if I have finally

This yardstick puts me, perhaps, much ahead you, although you are senior in

other respects.

Vinayji,

Haha! I will begin to call you Vinay_Da in that case :-)

I have a feeling that neecha mars boiling and stuck in the neecha rashi will

probably bring on a few such tirades before the rainy season starts!

Rohini Da,

I have no desire of becoming a Da.

In Sep 2009, four planets were in neecha : Jup, Ven, Sun, Mars. But I got a fine

reception in Delhi among top politicians and bureaucrats of India (I had gone

there to promote the cause of Sanskrit education). Just one month later, nearly

one hundred persons of a particulat caste were mobilized by some drunkards to

wage an unsuccessful ABUSIVE Andolan against me for capturing the premises of

Sanskrit college controlled by me. At that time, three planets were in neecha

and all planets in Trika houses (vipareeta rajayoga was also working). Gochara

was much less effective than my own birthchart, Vimshottari and

Varshaphala-maasaphala.

Today, the muhurta is fine and I am starting to write a detailed commentary on

Suryasiddhanta, esp on its two initial chapters on mean and true planets which

have been non-mathematically dealt by all previous native commentators, and

falsely treated by foreign commentators I possess the necessary material). I

have begged Goddess Sarasvati to enable me to accomplish this task which was

deliberately neglected by all those native experts who deemed it unfit to

explain this " rahasyam " .

Today, some friends in Mumbai and Varanasi have agreed than translation of

Sayana's commentary of Vedas into Hindi and English should be started. We are

looking for some translator.

I want a detailed commentary on BPHS, but I have too many tasks at present.

Vinay_ji,

That is the beauty of being born as a human being! One is privileged to witness

the dance and music of planets through one's life as they go from neecha to

uccha, direct to retrograde and all other AWASTHAS in between!

Think about this for a moment, Sir: The planets DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE! They are

under the control of very RIGID LAWS: Gravitation, Bode's rule and a bunch of

other Physics type things that you and other scientists here know a lot better

than me, I am sure! If the planets revolt and try to break the " LAW " there will

be CHAOS and the UNIVERSE will be destroyed intantaneously! Won't you agree?

But the Human being has so many choices and paths to follow! Sure there will be

karmic repercussions and so on, but I think we human beings are way more free

than the planets themselves are!

Let us count our blessings and make the best use of our lives and minds and

hearts and soul :-)

Dear Rohini Ji and Vinay Ji,

I am really enjoying it and learning a lot as well. What I have experienced that

when planets are in the Neecha awastha, most of the time it is very encouraging,

as they have 7th aspect on their Uccha sign ! I do not know why I intutively

treat the position of Neecha planets as a good;and very interesting position in

charts, rather than when they are Ucchha and have 7th aspect on their Neecha

sign. I have practically found it so after analysing many charts.

At least I feel I am having good times and enjoying, since Jupiter was Neech and

then Mars became Neech. I have Mars in my Scorpio lagna and Jup in Sag. And am

really getting lot of learning and quite a bit of interesting charts analysis

too. Why it is so ? With my best wishes.

Doctors must lead by example, Doctor :-)

Open the door (new thread) and make the opening question such that no one feels

intimidated or complacent enough to give an insipid response :-)

A little 'nuance' goes a long way in motivating people to answer or to learn...!

Just a thought...!
