Dear Vyas,

The Aquarius chart gives us a possibility in this regard with the weak L9 under

close affliction.

But I don't see the same level of overall wealth in the Aquarius chart as I do

in the Leo one. Also, the fear of public speaking is not readily visible.

The great strength of the 2nd house in the case of Leo seems to fit.

You have such wonderful enthusiasm for all of this, which is so nice to see.

I'm leaning towards Leo ascendant for the following reasons:

(a) It is the only ascendant that gives us no bad placements of any of the 9

planets on 8/30/1930.

(b) He looks like a Leo who would be having the Sun closely influencing the

ascendant. He has a wide face with stronger than average facial bone

structure. He has a broad, strong forehead. These are Sun-inspired physical

traits.

ample strong close influences on them. All of these houses can bless one

with financial gains when strong. The incredible strength of the 2nd house

stands out the most.

(d) The Sun is strong, L2 is strong, and L9 is strong. The strong L2 and L9

act like a Sun. Both L2 and L9 are strongly influencing the 2nd house of

status and wealth, along with there being the influence of the strong Sun on

the ascendant itself! This is an incredibly powerful chart.

(d) He chooses to live frugally, which is a trait inspired by the heavy

Saturnian influence on L2 and on the 2nd house. The prime significator for

assets here is Mercury. Mercury is a planet that lives humbly, along with

Saturn. The weakness of and close affliction to Venus contribute as well,

along with the weakness of the 12th lord, Moon.

(e) The weakness of and close affliction to L3 Venus accounts for his fear

of public speaking.

library. The book has a lot of good personal information, though no birth

than hampering him in life. I was randomly checking a 6:40 birthtime which

gave around 22 degrees Leo, but will check out 's

suggestion of around 13 degrees rising.

I will finish reading the book and check out the events against the

other likely ascendants-I was strongly favoring a Leo ascendant, and glad to

hear that the Professor and Arun see the same thing. But I will check out

the other ascendant to make sure I am objective. I also saw strong

possibility with Sagittarius and Aquarius.

My dear Esteemed Professor and Vyas,

Leo ascendant folk (myself included) have a unique look, especially when

the

Sun influences the ascendant or 2nd house (face) closely.

One can expect a wider face with strong bone structure therein. The nose

may

be prominent and somewhat wide.

Mr. Buffett also has a strong forehead, which is consistent with other

Leo's.

Hence my initial assessment was Leo. Being one, I know one when I see one

Dear Arun and List,

Here are my thoughts on the Aq ascendant:

(a) The only badly placed planet is Venus closely conj Ra-Ke axis. Ra is in

3H with Mars very strong. Overal this can give fantastic entrepreneurial

spirit and rise in these matters. Ve sits in the house of easy gains. In the

Leo chart, the weakness of Venus LO3 is likely not to give such great

success an an entrepreneur. True that there would be the (wide) asp of

strong Jupiter, but he had this spirit from a very young age and didn't grow

into it with time.

(b) Strong Sun in H7 can give the looks as a Leo. Both ascendants have very

long limbs. Buffett isn't a particularly royal looking figure if you didn't

know who he was. Jupiter's influence can 'full' him out a little compared to

the emaciated looks of Aq.

influence of Mars on Saturn, would strongly involve this person in

entreprenuial activities. As we have been discussing the role of Mars, ruler

of enormous wealth , we can see its merits in this light as well. LO9 Ju is

very strong and also placed in H5 and forms a wide aspect to the ASC Lord

and ASC itself. Buffett's status and extreme wealth did not come until after

50 years of age.

(d) Buffet's father died in 1964. With strong Mars, Jupiter and Sun, I

reckon there would have to be an affliction to H9. In this case, Venus is by

age weak, badly placed in H8 and close to Ke. The Leo ascendant tells us

that his father would likely outlive his mother.

His mother passed a few years ago in this decade. Moon is nicely placed in

H10, though debilitated, shows better longelivity of mother with this weak

Venus being the particular significator of father.

(e) Frugality itself is given by Aq.

(f) Strong Me has given him few obstructions, and a sixth sense of the

markets.

(g) Fear of public speaking can be given by Aq itself, but such strong Me

can remove this. Now he's a fantastic speaker. Had H3 been weak, as in the

Leo asc, there would be little gains on expansive and entreprenuial

business.

(h) With weak LO9, Ve, he is an atheist and a great advocate of abortion

and population control.

In the case of Leo, there is no 'secretive' influence to LO9, very strong

Mars. Such a Leo chart would likely be a strong advocate of religious
