(I consider that Saturn is a natural malefic in the first place. Then I consider his attained qualification in the chart. Likewise, Jupiter is a natural benefic first then I consider his 8th lordship. Jupiter aspects 7th house and 7th lord, thus the marriage took place.) From the Moon, Sun a natural malefic in 7th house. 7th lord Mercury goes to 8th along with kalathrakaraka Venus. In Navamsa, the 8th lord Mercury aspects the 7th house. The connection between the house lords of 5th and 9th with 7th house is not preferred by the classics. This connection takes place in all the three charts in one way or the other. So far as the information regarding gender of a person is concerned, it makes the chart reading simple and in more accurate way. A particular combination gives one meaning in the chart of a male. The same combination in a female's chart certainly gives another meaning. A combination in a female chart, born in an orthodox society gives a specific meaning. The same combination in a female chart, born in USA gives me certainly a different meaning. If you know the background of the person and the background of the society where he or she lives in, make a lot of difference in actual chart interpretation. This is purely my personal opinion. This is important. Jupiter with Rahu in lagna is a factor and not the whole of the chart. When they are placed in Lagna they directly influence the individual since lagna is representing the individual. The lagna stands for the character and the personality of the individual too. Jupiter is the planet of vedanga and tradition which represents teacher (preceptor), elder and higher knowledge and orthodoxy. Rahu is the planet of unorthodoxy. When they are conjunct, the significations of the Jupiter get modified. How much? That depends on many factors. The bottom line is that Rahu makes the individual to ask questions why it is so. When Jupiter stands alone in Kendra that is the lagna, without any malefic influence, the probability is that the person believes in what the elders say without asking any question and follows the tradition. (i.e. is to say the signification of Jupiter manifests in the person). In Rasi chart notice the combination of Mercury and Venus they are 5th Lord and Lagna lord too. 9th Lord Saturn in a powerful Kendra from Lagna. See the chart from Moon. The psychology of the person gets unfolded from there. For a second forget about the 7th house analysis of mine when we analyze the other area of the chart. Moon is strong. (Mind). The Moon is aspected by the powerful 5th lord Mars and the 9th Lord Sun. 5th lord Mars aspects his own house (purva punya) and connecting the houses of action, the person (the lagna), the mind of the person (4th). 4th lord Jupiter goes to 6th house of struggles with Rahu and aspects the house of solitude with Ketu there. The 10th lord Mercury with the 11th lord of gains in 8th house is also a noticeable factor here. The powerful 3rd lord Saturn the self efforts play a very good role. Jupiter with Rahu itself is not a bad combination but this combination should not be further subjected to the malefic influence. When multiple afflictions take place then it becomes the worry for the signification under consideration. Finally, every possible result we glean from a chart is to be manifested at an appropriate dasha periods only. Can you through some light on the native's married life? One caution on Lal Kitab. The simple remedies work well but as I have learnt that they postpone the karma phala for the time being. Since a native with jupiter + Ketu in the 12th house may be inclined towards spirituality, it is quite possible that he might ignore his household duties or may not have a hightened libido. I do not hold any brief for the Lal Kitab, but I believe that the concept of 'postponing the Karma Phal' needs to be studied and verified empirically. But it discusses the yog in great detail. Similarly it discusses the jupiter + Ketu yog without giving it a name like 'vipreet guru- chandal yog' As for the relationship of the moon in the context of the Jupiter and Ketu, not together, it mentions that if the jupiter is in the earlier houses [ counted zodiacally] and Ketu in the later houses then the karaks of moon like mother, wealth, mental peace etc are likely to be adversely affected. It will always obstruct marriage, beacause it is Ganapati sitting in meditation there. We also see marriage from arudha of 12th house (UL) as 12H is the house of giving. In marriage there is only giving - no taking. Yes, Ketu in 2nd from UL is good for marriage - as marriage is a dharma and Ketu will always support dharma. Even the marriage happens due to other yogas in the horoscope, if there is no children within 3 years (very peculiar, and I do not know why), the marriage will break. I have seen many cases with this combination. And when Guru joins it, the result is more pronounced - as Jupiter is an expansive planet. Even Venus, I have seen - in 12th house is not good for marriage. Specially so, if it is exalted. With Ketu in 12th, only remedy is Uchhista Ganapathy. Regards, Jk. But it will be very good in foreign lands. But really, I do not know much of such cases. Acharya Jayendra Saraswati and Swami Vivekananda had Rahu in 12th house.
