Guest guest
OHM SHRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAH JAYA JAGANNATHA Namaste Alexandra, I know a person with similar combination. His lagna is Cancer and Jupiter and Moon conjoined in Gemini. Apart from Gajakesari yoga, the lagna lord and 9th lord conjoined is another Raja yoga. From that natives background, what I understood is this combination will give its yoga in a foreign land, provided other benefics aspects 12th house. This yoga is formed in the 2nd house to Aroodha Lagna. So, more financial gains are promised. However, there will be a lot of unwanted expenses or there will more expenses towards charity, dharma, spiritual activities. As of Guru, our Param Guru is Pt.Sanjay Rath, he is like Jupiter, his lagna is in Pisces with Jupiter. As you are the Student of SJVC, this is shown in your chart. I believe this is Gaja Keshari Yoga. However Jupiter is in a Dushthana House. Will the Yoga still have a benefic effect. Also Jupiter is lord of my 9th House. Does this mean that Jupiter is my Guru? If so who do I pray to for guidance with Jyotish studies? Guest guest
OM GURAVE NAMAH Dear Alexandra, Jupiter is not only the lord of the ninth house, but also placed in Bhagya Pada (A9) being in the 4th from the 9th house. Gajakesari works in Spiritual matters or in foreign lands as Solai has correctly pointed out. Your Ista is to be seen from the 12th from Karakamsa. So, make your Navamsa, identify your AK and tell us about HOW YOU ARE GOING TO REACH THIS ULTIMATE GOAL..This will also be a nice exercise for the benefit of all. Guest guest
OHM SHRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAH JAYA JAGANNATHA Namaste Alexandra, I will also wait for Gurudeva's answers. Meanwhile, look at the following files in the 'file' section of Varahamihira for more understanding of Various Pada and Ishtadevata. After reading these files, if you still have any questions, you can post to the list. Regarding Gajakesari yoga: the foreign land is due to the Gajakesari yoga formed in 12th house, spiritual matters is because, the Gajakesari yoga lords are 1st and 9th house lords. varahamihira/ISHTADEVADA%2Epdf varahamihira/Arudhapada%2Epdf Thanks Solai Kannan Alexandra Solomon [songsoftarot]Thursday, January 04, 2001 8:55 AMVedic e group[sri Guru] Jupiter Namaste Sanjayji and Solai Kannan Gajakesari indicates Foreign Lands and Spiritual Matters. The 4th house indicates property, vehicles, home, happiness, learning. 12th from Virgo in my Navamsa is Leo - if this is Ista I have Ve Ma and Ke here. 12th from Virgo in my Natal Leo has Ma and Ve. Guest guest
Dear Professor, For a Capricorn Ascendant with Jupiter in 9th house, could we say Jupiter will be good for studying Astrology? Or becoming a teacher? Or even writing books? Or will Jupiter only behave badly as the 12th ruler? Or maybe both? Guest guest
Dear Rui, I am not a real expert in SA, but I know from my wife's example (also a Capricorn ascendant) that the Jupiter Bhukti was not positive. In her case, it is also in a trine (5th house). In her case, in the Bhukti, there were losses ansd she was exhausted because she was very worried about our children. Of course the professor will surely shed some light on this. Guest guest
Dear Prithvi, Thank you for your answer. Yes, your wife would be concerned about children because Jupiter is placed in 5th. For me it is in the 9th of father... conjunct ketu, aspecting 1st, 3rd and 5th... My father will probably die then. I must say I am bit " terrified " of Jupiter, if it makes any sense at all to speak of Jupiter in such a way... My hope is that having survived Rahu dasha (but I know Rahu is in 3rd), I will be able to survive Jupiter's, however I would like to have an idea, so I could be prepared. Hopefully our Professor will enlighteen us as always. Rui. Guest guest
Dear Prithvi, Only recently I realized our dear Professor did answer my question regarding Jupiter, but it was my fault because I posted it by mistake on a different thread, so there you go the answer for your consideration. Seems like Jupiter will be good some stuff but bad when it is transiting the MEP of the houses. That is my reading, which may be wrong, but anyway please you have a read yourself of the words of our Professor below: <siha Fri Oct 28, 2005 4:59 pm Re: Another D chart question. vkchoudhry Offline Offline Send Email Send Email Hello Rui, Jupiter in ninth for a Capricorn asdt can involve the person in astrology or in teaching as it aspects the third house, fifth house and ascendant. The success depends on so many other factors. The impact as a functional malefic will be linked to the closeness of the influence of Jupiter in the chart. Guest guest
Dear Professor, I did not follow when you said that strong Jupiter will be good for Capricorn Ascdt. Let the Jupiter be exalted in MEP. It will wreak havoc as far as 7th house is concerned isnt it ? If a planet is closely associated with a Jupiter then the significations of MT of that house of that planet will suffer during the subdasa of the planet. If Jupiter is only in 12th house for Capricorn then the 12th house will prosper. similarly for Taurus and Cancer ie in 8th and 6th house. All said and done Jupiter is a MMF. Or is that for MMF Karakatwa will be retained. I saw a lady's horoscope where jupiter in 7th house for Capricorn resulted in a separation but their son is doing really well . Kindly reply. --- siha wrote: > Hello Vita, > > I add my replies/comments to your questions in your > message appended below. > > Best wishes, > > > > > - > " Vita S-W " <uttarashada > > Tuesday, October 31, 2006 5:51 AM > Jupiter > > > > Dear Professor, > > > > Could we say that when strong Jupiter is generous, > kind and resourceful > > also > > for Capricorns, Cancer and Taurus? > YES. > I understand Jupiter is a functional > > malefic for these ascendants, but could it be that > because it is Jupiter, > > things will never be that bad and maybe the native > will enjoy the good > > side > > of the 12th, 9th and 6th significations? > WITH STRONG AND UNAFFLICTING JUPITER, YES. > > Would you say that especially the12th > significations are mostly bad for > > those who are selfish, those who are materialist, > and who do not have the > > ability to be selfless? > IF YOU ARE REFERRING TO SPIRITUAL PROGRESS, THEN YES > TO A LARGE EXTENT. > Would you say Jupiter's dasa for a Capricorn is > > easier if the native is spiritually orientated and > worse if the native > > only > > craves for material success? > GENERALLY YES. > > Or is Jupiter's dasa always a bad experience > > for a Capricorn? > NO. Guest guest
Dear Legal team, I would like to add the following points in addition to what is aleady given: - They native tends to get self indulgent, specially with food and is likely to put on weight specially if lagna is a watery sign; more so in Jup dasa - May not have sons/children if the fifth house is afflicted depending upon the extent of affliction Do consider these for addition. If Jupiter is in Cancer the said results will happen for sure. * If Jupiter is in Lagna - the native will have good longevity and great luck at or after the age of 16 years. * If Jupiter in Lagna is aspected by malefic planets or in debilitation or with malefics in enemy house - he would be interested in doing bad deeds. His mind wavering, longevity - middle age, too much travel, egotic, no children, he will discard his relatives or the relatives may discard him, he will say bad words against good people, sadness and sufferings will prevail. So, here goes our group - Jupiter Centric.. Hurah, to the thread of Pt. Arjun ji and Srinivas ji. :)Love and regards,Sreenadh Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
Dear Sorabh ji & Sreeram ji, I quote Sreeram ji: " Jupiter in Lagna has NO relation to music, unless it is conected to Venus in some respect. " - unquote. A native with Jupiter in lagna in Venus's nakshastra and aspected by Venus, yet she did NOT have any musical tendencies. Neither was she a good singer nor could she play any musical instruments. Jupiter in lagna, though she passed away in her 45th year. BUT Jupiter is retrograde and aspected by Saturn. For Leo lagna Jupiter is also the 8HL. These may be the reasons for Jupiter failing to give her protection. 5th May 1945 @ 1.40 PM in Kandy, Sri Lanka. blessings Renu , " sreeram srinivas " <sreeram64 wrote: > > > Dear Mr - Mr Sorabh Sharma ji, > > Jupiter in Lagna has NO relation to music, unless it is conected to > Venus in some respect. Guest guest
Dear Krishna ji, " They native tends to get self indulgent, specially with food and is likely to put on weight specially if lagna is a watery sign; more so in Jup dasa - May not have sons/children if the fifth house is afflicted depending upon the extent of affliction. " I have known a native who was a very poor eater from her teenage years [i remember only since then], very thin and gave birth to a fine son and a daughter during her Jupiter/Venus dasha. Ketu is in her 5H and it is aspected by Sa and Rahu. So even with such afflictions she was fortunate enough to give birth to 2 fine kids. So kindly tell me how would the above dictum you have mentioned fit in here...Thanks. Guest guest
Dear Renu ji, As you yourself has pointed out, Jupiter is retrograde in this chart. Frankly, I still have not yet properly understood the behaviour of retrograde planets. I feel that there is more to what is generally accepted in astrological circles. Hence, I refrain from making any comments. I also notice that Jupiter is sitting in a fiery sign. Dr. Charak in his book on Medical Astrology says that retrograde planets for sure create health problems. This native has two retrograde planets - Jupiter and Venus. In my opinion, the wavelength of radition from a retrograde planet (as experienced on earth) will be longer than normal. This can be explained by what is called as "Doppler Effect" in Physics. Hence, normal predictions don't strictly apply to retrograde planets. Please note that though the planet is moving in its normal speed, retrogression is the phonomenon observed only with respect to earth. For those who don't know what is Doppler Effect is, please read: For someone standing on a railway platform, the sound of an incoming train appears to be much louder than the sound of the same train after passing the observer (even when the training is moving at the same speed in both cases). This is becasue the sound waves get compressed towards the observer when the train is approaching the observer and they get expanded (the wavelength gets longer) when the train has passed the observer. Guest guest
Dear All, I think the Venus in lagna people should take up the music/peotry interest coupled with Gemini lagna. And may be the horoscope like that of Vijay ji with 3rd (throght/sound) lord Sun (Sabda brahma) exalted may have a say on that. I remember the horoscope of one of my close friends son with - Gemini lagna, 3rd lord Sun exalted, Mercury and Venus in 10th - A singer. :=) Just a thought. :)Love and regards,Sreenadh , "sreeram srinivas" <sreeram64 wrote:>> > Dear Mr - Mr Sorabh Sharma ji,> > Jupiter in Lagna has NO relation to music, unless it is conected to> Venus in some respect. Guest guest
Dear Krishna ji, Retrograde Jupiter in Leo Lagna would not have been able to protect her forever, i. e. after its major period was over. During Jupiter major period she was doing fine. In fact in spite of her afflicted 5H, and retrograde 5HL she gave birth to a son and a daughter. blessings Renu -- In , Krishnamurthy Seetharama <krishna_1998 wrote: > > Dear Renu ji, > > As you yourself has pointed out, Jupiter is retrograde in this chart.
