Particles of Sensation and the Experience of Now - / Dan

Bill -

You are talking about the intersection of time (past, present, future)

with the timeless (now, now, now).

We can only make such talk by using metaphor.

The actuality of the no-time moment is nonmetaphorical.

Nothing can stand in for it.

No image, not even nothing.Good point

One who knows isn't put off by the lack of description available. One who knows lives outside of descriptions. Hence " one who knows "

does not expect or even really care about a description.

" It is all clear now, " said the blind man.

Somf (Smile on my face.)

Flux dissolves here, too.

Flux depends on time, depends on memory, depends on a being who is aware of the flux.

Flux is the last to go.This is where I got excited by your response. At some point I realized that for a very long time experiencehad had a quality of " flow " ... and that was no longer the case.

In so looking back it was obvious that " flow " entailed a (minimal) sense of duration, that time was in a sense involved, albeit strictly " locally " . So the clear conclusion was that " flow "

and absolute presence do not coincide. I don't believe I'vementioned this to anyone before. In looking at that it seemed experience as " an energyflow " is  a being present relatively to " ordinary consciousness " ,

since " flow " consciousness is only of immediate sensations. So it seemed to constitute a stage in an inexorable progressiontowards absolute presence.[Actually, there are still rare, usually brief periods of

" energy flow " ... and when those occur it seems to be a kindof " dropping to a lower energy shell " as it were. Mechanismsare in place to dissolve those so when they occur they don'tlast very long.]

With flux gone, going is gone.

With coming and going gone ...

We party!I'm assuming your notion of flux is verysimilar to my notion of " energy flow " ...and yes, energy flow seems to have a

sense of " seeking resolution " ....Apparently the " flows " happen in relationto an implicit and normally unconscious " perceptual frame " . Dissolution of theflow is in dissolution of the perceptual

frame. Speaking of which, all senses of incompletewholeness are apparently traceable to some perceptual frame, which is alwaysarbitrary and lacking in complete opennessand flexibility. Dissolution of perceptual frames is always

appropriate, though I mean here by perceptualframe a kind of " orientation " in consciousnesswhich has a " kinesthetic " character.

The party at the point of the laser.

The party at the end of the world.

The party at the event horizon.I wonder if you've seen my piece:The Living Moment as a Singularity. It is all about the Event Horizon.

I'll post it.

Yes.

Flux, yin/yang, negative/positive, awareness on/awareness off, energy flow.

The idea that there is something that is always on is a stultification of a

conceptuality.

Yin meets yang - always - nowing.

Negative meets positive - always - now.

The -ing of now-ing goes ...

Nothing is static, nothing moves ...

Even " nothing " dissolves here ...

On the positive: glorious splendor

On the negative: not even nothing

Totally agree with this.

Even the most basic sensory orientation - yes.

Movement in space.

P: I am living a completely normal life,

and will continue to do so, when released

from this Niz mental hospital.

You can check out any time you like... and unlike the Hotel California, you can

leave too.

It's not I who live, yet living isn't without me, either. " No me " does not

suggest its opposite, " absence of me " . The mind works in opposites, reality

does not.

It is wildly improbable.

Everything and anything.

And here it is.

Poof!

The only way it could be.

The way it is.
