Hm, Ricardo,

How did you arrive at this idea that fear was the enemy of UG ?

UG stated that the moment fear is stopping you instantly will drop dead. For UG

fear was the movement of life.

don't you think it a wee bit egotistical to think..

that the human ego can know the Self?

even if that's by some supposed act of legerdemain...

like sublimating the ego by the ego?

seems Self contradictory.

P: I can assure you all the dead ones

have no ego. Those who are alive may still

need one. What is an ego, but that

mechanism in charge of protect and

acquiring? If one is unemployed and looking

for a job, an ego is a useful thing to have.

For most people that have all their material

needs satisfied, the ego is only in charge

of enhancement and protection of the self-image.

When one sees that, one keeps one ego in a

box for when it's really needed. If one is

Yes, Pete,

That is true for old people like you and me who already have left behind their

need for reputation and their need for status and prestige this is quite easy to

say.

But for young people whose sexual potency closey is connected to status and

prestige and to be no underdog because the underdog always gets or already has

potency problems, selfimage is the most important and valuable thing.

Especially for older kids who are fighting to find their place within a group a

stable and strong selfimage is the important base.

When Nis was asked if his teaching also is good for children he said no, it

isn't. Because chidren firs have to acquire and to build up a stable ego which

they later need in life to be able to survive.

That's btw why I constantly repeat and repeat that the ego is one's friend and

that this horrible idea of ego-killing is the most stupid and destructive thing

in an idiot's mind.

ego made me to begin my journey, it made me to write so many stories of adventure, it gave me excitement, sorrow, solitude & what not at every moment. it has blossomed from love hence it sees everything as an object of desire. it made me to do things i yearned for. i have lived with it & will die with it but i will not give it up because it will begin my journey.
