iietsa, what a smart excuse,

 

But words are not empty. They transport meaning. And that meaning is

based on common agreement and understanding.

 

You hope that the world you transport with words is also the world of

the receiver and thus understandable to him.

 

And with words you also transport your identity like here on this list.

 

And it was this, your wonderful great and enlightened identity, this

spiritual show-off, which lured through your words and which let me

react with that question if you don't feel ashamed.

there is nothing to excuse...and nothing to feel ashamed...

so what appears as an excuse to you is only your way of understanding

....you can give me any name you like...but those names only say

something about your point of view...they say nothing about me...

if you see an world (ful) of excuses then thats your world...

your own privat world that is...my world is empty...

and so are the words in it...they have no powers of their own...

maby the words in your world are (ful) of powers...

but that is only because of you...not because of the so-called others

but I keep telling you...there is nobody to make that travel...

just because you see and live in a world of duality...that does not

mean it is real...investigate your dual world instead of taking it

Here's something that might interest you:

 

" The Lucknow Disease

Linguistic malady befalling seekers at neo-advaita satsangs, from a

manner of speech first observed in Lucknow, India in the early

1990's. It is characterized by never using the word " I. " Avoidance of

the " I-word " is to demonstrate to one's self but mostly to others

that there is no longer any ego or sense of self here. Instead of

using the word " I " in sentences, Lucknow Disease sufferers say things

like " This form is going to the bathroom. " The irony of the Lucknow

Disease is that it only strikes when the person's sense of self is

present and poorly integrated. It has never been observed in those

whose sense of self is well-integrated - or absent. "

Hi Rob,

 

I have read Papaji before but the Lucknow Disease was unknown to me.

 

I like what you wrote and I really agree with it.

 

The idea never to use the I-word is strange enough and it just is one

example what can happen when the ambition or longing for liberation

gets to desperate.

(no chance to escape Maya within a conceptual world & mind)
