**Not** accepting is the very thing that weaves the " problems " you

perceive.

It depends on what you are looking to achieve.

If your looking to achieve dissatisfication then you are choosing

the avenue that will continue to provide it, otherwise accepting is

linked to part of the primitive reptillian core/instinct to which

you are referring.

It's your game toombaru. You make the rules to your game as you've

shown very clearly in this exercise with Al. You offer a rule and

ask Al's response. Al gives a response and you set up a different

rule to the game.

you're having fun playing this game and making the rules as you go

along.

And yet, you recently criticized the art of game playing considering

it to be just another (I quote) " hackneyed religion " .

And yet you play your game and don't even realize [apparently] that

you are playing one, and yet criticizing the person who suggests

that you might all just accept that your playing a game and get on

with it already.

Wow!! Do you see why I'm suggesting a perscription for thought?

Then ILIkeZen Alberto/Odysseus and Al say, " kill thought " rip it

out.

yowza.

This .......game.........was a taste of what mind does.

It imagines a problem....(egg in a bottle).......and then attemps to solve it.

It has no problems......only imaginary eggs in bottles.

There never was a goose egg in an unbreakable bottle.

The mind is composed .....of nothing more then............ eggs and bottles.

And how beautifully, how richly it is composed. Is there anything

wrong about it? It represents the way we live our lifes. We should let

it flow, allow it to be its very nature. Only then we might be able go

beyond it.

Thinking is not the highest state for humanity according to Eckhart

Tolle. If he is correct, then evolution itself can go beyind itself;

it can evolve. To make what Tolle said more clear, let me add: he is

not talking about removing the ability to think, thoughts can operate

beautifully in this new state of awareness, he says.

Well, it is new to me that ideas cannot be called " right/wrong " ? I

thought this is how the mind functions, calling ideas " right/wrong " .

And your mind is obviously no exception.

But I agree that the mind exists only as an idea. Like everything that

is given names. The question is only, WHO is having this idea then?

Or, WHAT is the mind in reality?

> " We " are not independent of the " mind " .

So: " we " are dependent on the mind. Does this mean " we " is an idea of

the mind? Whose idea is the mind then?

>The " we " .....(I am) is the reselt of conceptualization.....not its

>source.

Agreed for the " we " (I am not shure what you mean with " I am " ).

This brings up the question: WHO is conceptualizing the " we " , what IS

the source?

>We are mind-stuff.

>

>Nothing can go beyond itself.

You just have constituted that the mind and the " we " are ideas and

conceptualizations. So, certainly there must be something which is

having ideas and concepts. It necessarily has to be beyond, or

something else than mind and also than " we " and it cannot be an idea

itself. Because, as you just said, nothing can be beyond itself. In

other words, nothing can be the result of its own conceptualization.

And there it goes, your mind dreaming the mind... being dreamed by the

mind... a fairy tale told by T.

Hi Diana,

I'm blessed by living next to a suburban train station.

People park their cars and ride the train downtown.

Well, you can imagine with so many parked cars

around, at least once a week the alarm, or the horn

of one malfunctions and goes off. The first reaction,

of course, is one of irritation. Here we go again!

Same old, same old. Then I remind myself is

a mechanical thing, there is no malevolent

intention behind it, it will eventually stop, etc.,

and I tune it out. Toom posts are just that,

a mechanical malfunction of an aging brain.

Beeeep Wawawa Beeep! Only when someone

like you with something intelligent and fresh to say

replies to his honking honk I bother to read.

And you are so right, every appearance is, every

illusion, every dream, every delirium, every lie has

a physical substratum in the brain, and shows in

a cat scan. It's only in their consequences that

we can distinguish appearances. Some bear the

fruit of more appearances good or evil. Others

like night dreams are barren.

The mentation that flows from the mouth of one who has experienced his own

vacuity is drawn from with his own accumulated mentation....and then interpreted

from an entirely different world of memories.......

Every thing that comes from a sage in not true.......

Just ask their spouses....or their teenage daughters......LOL

Remember....Ramana told his followers that his cow reached enlightenment.

(It is amazing how many ways Ramana addicts try to force that into a reasonalbe

package)

Hey Toom,

What about this that you've just written

above, as well as most of the other

pages and pages of posts here attempting to

define 'dying to oneself' and its offshoots,

is not the continuing quest to provide

comfort to oneself about " how things are "

how it is, way to be, dude? --

something to provide some resting place

or sense of having something figured out.

That is what all of it does, no matter how

non-dual it sounds. Honestly, it sounds

like some are trying to convince themselves

of something that if they really, truly

knew it, would not even think of to say

it.

But, I suppose that that movement,

too, is not out of place.

I think that the best any of the top guns

like Niz or JC were doing, or could do,

at most, was to point a 'way'....

speak poetically and in koans,

and saying, in effect,

don't try to have philosophies, instead,

make up your own damn mind each second

and then finally, goodbye and Good Luck!,

you are on your own.

Maybe Ramana simply was joking when he told his followers about his

enlightened cow. :-]

That's what I mean......It doesn't occur to them that Ramana was flat out wrong.
