OK, Devianandi. Don't get all huffy and puffy. I'm sorry. I was trying

to talk, that's all.

You say self-realization is not liberation. In order for you to make

that distinction, you must be liberated. So, since you are liberated,

tell me what is the difference between self-realization and liberation?

I eagerly await your response.

Thank you for your patience.

Nope.

Ramana encouraged people to ask " Who am I "

He never encouraged anyone to " find themselves " or " be themelves " .

Yes indeed. The great mis-understanding. All these fools running

around trying to find themselves or be themselves, like they're

somehow " God " or something " Wonderful " , but do they ever once stop to

look into what they're doing, who they *are*, what that sickness,

that self-ishness is in the first place. Noooooo. Anything but THAT!

Now you are speculating on what Ramana was implying....

When Nisargadatta was asked a question about all those convoluted sanskrit mumbp

jumbo....he would claim that he was an ignorant man that could hardly read and

refer

them to one of the " scholars " in the room.

You are searching for meaning ...where there is none.

Hi, Devianandi:

I think your questions are for the meher and ramana, and, not for me.

You should go ask them.

There is no difference between self and liberation. Find the self and

you're done. Find the self and there is nothing left to be liberated.

All natural, conditional body/mind patterns continue (sleeping,

dreaming, waking, eating, excreting, etc.). Nothing changes. Except

that there is no more seeking. One is self-contained. That is, non-dual.

What you seem to be questioning are the various altered states due to

intensive meditation. I'm not into that. As I mentioned before, these

states can be reached through any number of various methods (hypnosis,

drugs, chanting, meditation, fasting, etc.). If that's your goal,

then, seek those things out. You may want to check into siddha yoga.

Have a good one.

Yours,

fuzzie

sam: wait, judi now you've just dang well gone and confused me,

admittedly that isn't a big leap =)

Now you're not thrilled with people trying to find themselves or be

themselves however just the other day you said that it was doubtful

if people could even get into the nature of who there self really is

because that was really where it was at (or however the heck you

phrased it.) This sounds highly contradictory.

Now you suggest they should stop and **look into** what they're

doing, who they *are*, what that sickness is, etc. I do recall

however that when you frequently troll for new members on a Ranch

membership drive one of the prerequisites is that they can't be

interested in psycologically trying for improvement etc., etc. which

happens to be a part of this " looking into " what they're donig, who

they *are* what that sickness is and why, etc.

This too sounds highly contradictory to your above message.

Do you just like to fight against advaidta board posters or do you

like to fight against western christian religion, moslems et.al?

Or, do you just like to fight?

oh happy days indeed!

Sri Ramana never encouraged people to do ANYTHING!

It was just that people wouldn't leave him alone,

just to get some peace he " invented " his Koan

Of course he knew, that " Who am I? " is an absolutely

meaningless question

Only,Ramana was smarter than most..............

sparkled.

Hey, Yogidahl:

How ya doing?

I tell you the truth, I don't think Ramana ever even existed. I think

he's a myth. Everybody's got their own idea of who he was. Which one's

real? Who knows? Who am Ramana? Who am you? Who am anybody?

:)

Yours,

Hey Fuzzie!

HaHa,well, yes,it may be that Sri Ramana has never existed!

Anyway, his ashram in Tiruvannamalai does exist (I've been there

myself),with its stone-hard meditation floor and great noisy

proud peacocks just a few steps away

- and that's Good Enough!!

But,then,Jesus Christ, perhaps he too never existed??

Well,at least the POPE does exist!

-- It's hardly Good Enough.................

Hope You're Doing Fine!

Vibes,

Flemming

That body was not Ramana. He told everyone that. Nobody got it.

Glad to see that Nobody finally appeared on a different forum.

Nobody was bored when s/he appeared on another list.

Nobody is either highly over, or under valued, depending on one's

POV. Everyone argues about Nobody, and Nobody says nothing at all.

And the great thing is that Nobody really cares what anyone says.

Nobody, Nobody, s/he's my wo/man

If Nobody doesn't get it,

Nobody can.
