In my next birth even I `ll be the greatest human , I want to be free from cycles of birth -- death - birth. Kulasekharalwar in MUKUNDAMALA said " I may not be able to think of YOU at the time of my death because of bodily afflictions like kapha- vatha -- pittha variants " Human birth ,growth, senelity and death --- is a life not to be desired again and again. Aumji, we must be perfect in all the paths- that is total freedom. People who dont do Bhakti are imperfect emotionally, those who dont do Gyan are imperfect logically, those who dont do Hatha Yoga are imperfect Pranically & physically, those who dont do Raj Yoga are imperfect mentally. Full freedom is freedom to do anything, & also the capability to do so. Shakti might choose 1 path in 1 life, or more if we are more advanced on the path & Ma shakti thinks we can handle different paths. In practice, perfection on 1 path leads to perfection on others- so a good Bhakta automatically becomes a good Gyani, & vice versa. with love Shantnu

BEAUTIFULL QUESTIONS AUM SIR JI AND BEAUTIFULL REPLY SHANTANU SIR JI BUT I WOULD ADD MY OPINION TOO I would also like to add something for this question as who is trying to liberate Lord Shiva or Shakti i think that both Shiva and Shakti are dependent to each other . if there is lower Shakti Shantanu Sir Ji than there is Lower Shiva too in my opinion . wherever is Shiva there is Shakti . Shakti ke bina Shiva SAV hain purification of Shiva leads to purification of Shakti automatically and purification of Shakti leads to purification of Shiva automatically . meditation leads to good karmas and good karmas leads to meditation thoughts leads to karmas and karmas leads to thoughts and my question is that why Shakti is female and Shiva is male in form . please share your views it is my request to all the Sadhakas . Re your query on How can yoga enhance your bad qualities? Here is some interesting quote from the magazine " YOGA LIFE " JULY 2008, Vol.39 No.37 page 13..... Quote SWAMIJI OFTEN SAID, " YOGA MAKES YOU BETTER WHATEVER YOU ARE. IF YOU ARE A THIEF, YOU WILL BECOME A MORE SKILLFUL THIEF. IF YOU ARE A CHEAT, YOU WILL BECOME A MORE CLEVER CHEAT. " Swamiji told us time and again, that YOGA GIVES POWER TO THE INNATE NATURE. The classic case is Ravana, the king of Lanka, who abducted Sita, the wife of Lord Rama of Ayodhya, Ravana was a Yogi par excellence and performed difficult austerities (Tapas) and Yogic discipline. But his moral character was weak. He was incapable of controlling his passions and animal instincts. Thus, all the power of his Tapas gave strength to his lust and greed. Taking this idea a step further, one reason that if a weak-minded person, easily influenced by others, takes to Yoga techniques like Asanas, Pranayama and concentration practices, that tendency may become more pronounced, enabling unscrupulous persons to dominate that practitioner psychically. This would explain the power of cult Gurus and even political leaders. The media which projects personalities in a falsely glamourous fashion also produces a kind of psychic possession where huge number of people become obsessed with (possessed by) the image of their favourite cinema or sports star. If one is vulnerable to possession by other human personalities, it is just a hop, skip and a jump to opening up to discarnate spirits, which definitely exist and prey on weak minds. As usual the crux of the Yogic search returns to Swadhyaya - self study and alertness to one's own fatal flaws. The desire to change and root out the weeds in one's own character is vital if one wishes to enable the powerful energies roused by Yoga Sadhana to transform and elevate one's nature. Conscious awareness of every thought, word and deed every second is necessary to accomplish this change. Vigilance is the eternal price of spiritual liberty. ..... Guest guest Report post Posted July 15, 2008 , " spbyoga9 " <spbyoga9 wrote: >ur query on How can yoga enhance your bad qualities? Sudhakarji, even if Yoga enhances bad qualities, we should still do it, because so called " bad " qualities, which are Rajasic in nature, are still better than the Tamasic fear, cowardice & unwillingness to do anything, that plagues India. If people keep sitting around, hoping that they will only start when all their " bad " qualities have finished, they will never start Yoga. Being a robber, theif, is still better than being a useless Indian. Valmiki was a theif. A great Zen master was given the chance of choosing between a thief & a farmer as a student- he chose the thief. As the thief was full of Rajogun, its easier to train him than a Tamasic farmer. So rather than making up fear stories(fear is a tamasic emotion) of how Yoga creates criminals, Sudhakarji, you should be telling people about the positive things of Yoga. As I have written before, Yama/Niyama are over rated. People dont understand why they are necessary, they have just become moral rules. But we have had this discussion. This was pointed out as it was explained better than me and not for the reason to discourage people from taking to yoga. If that was the cage i would not be teaching yoga itself. In fact my first two classes are devoted in explaining the yama and niyama part which people consider as a waste of time and later on question me they don't find the so called change that they have read about yoga. It is in this context that i felt further explanation which was given in the magazine would help Farahaji to understand better. Be rest assured i am not at all that kind of a person to discourage yoga. With warm wishes, Sudhakar HARI OM TAT SAT! Guest guest Report post Posted July 16, 2008 Hari Om! This is a wonderful idea about yoga. This gives the seemy side of yoga, without any introspection or swadhyaya. Yoga, by which I mean mere asana, pranayama and other kriyas, is not a passport for self-realisation. We need to do a lot of introspection. The mind needs to be purged of its impurities. A great effort to channellise the energy arising out of the yoga practice is certainly a must. ulaganathan p spbyoga9 <spbyoga9 Sudhakar HARI OM TAT SAT!
