:eek2:

As per the dictums of Swar Sidhanta; predictions for the following six months; are based on the Swar running at the time of the Sun-rise on the day following the Sun changes his declinations from south to north & vice versa.

That means the start of Summer & Winter solstices. This corresponds to the start of Uttrayana & Dakshinayana as per tropical system. Some opine that the rule can also be applied to start of Uttrayana & Dakshinayana as per Nirayana or Sidereal system. Also some opine that said dictum is also applicable at the start of lunar month also.

As per the dictums, if left Swar is running at the said time then, the person is assured of good health, prosperity, peace of mind, worldly gains and the like for the next six months during. Running of left Swar means that inhalation & exhalation is done from the left nostril.

Direction of the Sun’s declination shall change from north to south at precisely at 11.16 IST on June, 21, 2009. Therefore those desire to reap benefit from the said dictum, may run their left Swar (Ida Swar ) at the time of local Sunrise on June 22, 2009.

They may get up early in the morning before the Sunrise, take bath, sit facing east on an insulated Aasan. They should start breathing through their left nostril. If their right nostril is working they may change it to left as described below. The aspirants can also perform Pooja at that time.

Mode to change the Swar

One shall find that at a time breathing is from either left nostril (Ida Swar) or right nostril (Pingala Swar) or from both the nostrils (Sushmana Swar). For a short duration both left & right Swars are working during shifting of the Swar from left to right or vice versa. Shushmana flows for a short duration & only spiritual functions are recommended during its currency. Left or right Swar flow alternatively for 60 to 90 minutes duration. One can change the Swar at his will, & below are some of the methods for changing it:

1) Close the running nostril with finger or with a cotton piece, & breathe through the other nostril for about 5 to 10 minutes. The other inactive desired nostril shall become active. Check whether the desired nostril is active by placing back of the hand below the nostril. Now while exhaling through nose, the air is felt flowing out from that running nostril, & from the other nostril no air flows.

2) Inhale through the active (running ) nostril & exhale through the inactive nostril. After doing this exercise for about 2 to 3 minutes the desired nostril (earlier inactive) shall become active.

3) Lie down sideways on the side of active nostril by keeping shoulder of the corresponding side on down side. After some time the other nostril shall be active. For example if right nostril is running & one wants to activate left nostril then, lie down sideways by keeping right shoulder on the bed side. After some time left Swar shall start running.

The purpose of this thread is the let the highly guarded secret of Swar Sidhanta be known to those aspirants who intend to benefit themselves for better life, as per the knowledge blessed by our sages & exponents.
