Using the word Yogi in the true sense- of course there are lots of women yogis. It is considered extremely auspicous for a Devi devotee to have a woman Guru. Quote

Kali_Upasaka Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Sri Ramakrishna's Tantrik Guru was Maa Bhairavi Brahmani who was a Vaishnava. Such paramparas or sampradhayas do still exist in India. You do see them some times in temples. But then they are very secretive and reticent and I do not think you will be able to locate one. Quote
