BG 2.72: That is the way of the spiritual and godly life, after attaining which a man is not bewildered. If one is thus situated even at the hour of death, one can enter into the kingdom of God.

BG 6.28: Thus the self-controlled yogī, constantly engaged in yoga practice, becomes free from all material contamination and achieves the highest stage of perfect happiness in transcendental loving service to the Lord.

BG 13.15: The Supersoul is the original source of all senses, yet He is without senses. He is unattached, although He is the maintainer of all living beings. He transcends the modes of nature, and at the same time He is the master of all the modes of material nature.

BG 13.23: Yet in this body there is another, a transcendental enjoyer, who is the Lord, the supreme proprietor, who exists as the overseer and permitter, and who is known as the Supersoul.

these are just four examples of many, why Lord Krsna sometimes talk about the Lord as someone different from Him?

Thanks

Because krishna is a human. He is a realised human. Like every realised rishi, he knows he is god in nondual mode of knowing. At the same time he also knows that God is a transcendantal being different from the emprical existence. Bedabeda principle is applied here. While Krishna is God - and so are every souls - God is not Krishna. ( God is more than krishna)

Of course The Krishna bhaktas will disagree with this interpretatiuon.

I think in the Gita Krishna does sometimes talk about the Supreme Deity in the third person, 8.22 is another example that is even more apparent. There is some problem here with the translations you have, as Milly suggests. 2.72 reads brahma-nirvanam ricchati and brahma-nirvana is not exactly 'the kingdom of God'. 6.28 reads sukhena brahma-samsparsham atyantam sukham ashnute, which says nothing about 'transcendental loving service of the Lord.' And I would suggest that Chapter 13 is about the individual purusha, the atman or kshetrajna, rather than the Supreme Deity. It is very difficult to separate translation from commentary and this can at times lead to difficulties.

God is more than krishna = God is everything.

Krishna is an invention.

--as said by the common marsh dwelling self-engrandising autocrats by the delta of pomposity and fishmongers.

All hail the self-realised common marsh dwelling self-engrandising autocrats --who will inherit the earth.

WOW!

Is it really that simple?

Is that why there are so many different representations and definitions used for the concept of Krishna?

It seems that since there are so many articles representing Krishna as a person, that like the Jesus guy some had become confused as to whether a diety or man is what to acknowledge.

Almost like the idea of Buddha but it seems the Buddha folk share that the reincarnation of the Buddha soul keeps returning and preparing new information for the various generations throughout time. As if the person of each period was purely committed to knowledge and conveying the 'truths' up to the time.

Bet the last one has a bunch of knowledge to convey, especially in this day and age of knowledge.

Seems you are kind of harsh there on 'your' words into print representing krishna bhaktajan.....

care to elaborate on why you made such a possessive approach within a site for compassionate reasoning?

perhaps share why any man of bhatki would be so rude?

does it have to do with loosing a job?

Perhaps loosing control?

maybe finding that like Srila Prabhupada exceeded his teacher's knowledge and commitment?

The centre of the ISKCON movement has always been Sankirtan. Most temple activities the devotees are engaging in were originally taught personally to us by Srila Prabhupada, including Deity worship, which was very much his desire. Temple functions, that ISKCON devotees practice, can be found in books like the “Nectar of Devotion”, and other similar Vaishnava literatures, and are all authorized Vaishnava activities passed down to us by the previous acharyas.

Jayadvaita Swami has warned that it is a danger to use the scripture to pull out one verse and base an entire bend to the philosophy based on one quote. Increasing the book distribution is wonderful. Reviving Harinam Street Sankirtan is also great news. Thinking oneself, while one does these activities, to be lower than a straw in the street, and more tolerant than a tree, and ready to offer all respect to others, is the ideal consciousness.

Some Sankirtan book distributors in the past though considered themselves to be far superior devotees to all other devotees, based on taking some quotations they found out of context, while ignoring other equally important teachings. Then later this mentality developed further into feeling that the temple devotees (who did not go out on book distribution) were 2nd and even 3rd class devotees, compared to the book distributors themselves, and even treating them in this abusive way. One Sankirtan group coined the term “temple slug” to describe the devotees who served in the temple, or who worshiped the Deities. This had a devastating effect on many devotees.
