The Planet Jupiter is generally considered as the king of natural benefics and His benefic nature in a natal chart depends on the house he occupies in the chart. Some time ago in an astrological discussion in a magazine it was stated "Jupiter's benefic strength varies only in the house he is located in a natal chart but his aspects are always benefial(Koti punya)" and Jupiter in any Lagna is considered good. In another discussion "Jupiter as 3rd & 6th lord for Tula lagna natives He is a malefic & His aspects are also malefic" Such a contradiction makes the learners get confused.Gurujis,Please clear this contradiction.Which is correct and most authenticated? surentharp Posted August 15, 2008 Report Share Posted August 15, 2008 Planet will give the results according to the house they own (generally it termed as functional benefic and malefic), even Jupiter will also act as a maraka in one chart and with only one malefic or benefic we can't conclude the result.
