Dear People,

The event was wonderful. The place is beautiful. There were lotus flowers in a pond overlooking a huge terrace while the rain drizzled on a bright dusk sky at the Convention Center hall to the ballroom where it took place. The hall must have sat 2000 people and it was 2/3 full.

There were two video screens beside the middle stage.

 

The Hawaiian kahunas, draped in long flowing green leis or garlands performed the opening ceremony. And they blessed Deepak and asked God speak through him. So that got us all on the inner plane nicely. Deepak wore black coat and jeans and sparkling red/black glasses that kept our attention. Then he asked how we were and what we wanted to talk about. We were fine and so he continued to say the evening would be about consciousness. He began with his first experiences in the US; his stories are colorful and meaningful. He ended with William Blake's quote about the cosmos and it's inner place of awareness and Source. The evening was beautiful. My friends and new friends and I did some ushering..we collected our things. And on our way out I was able to say hello to Deepak after being with him twice for consultations and teachings. "Nice to see you again", he said.

We both along with his two liasons went down the wrong escalator and had to come back. Someone asked who was his eye doctor, because of his glasses. It was to keep their attention he said.

 

I went home the whole way, half an hour with an inner smile on my face.

He talked of synchronicity, non space time awareness as witnessed by cell phones and the internet. He talked of the transormative ability of the Vedas which he correlated with teachings of Jesus. Each Vedantic point was correlated with sayings from the bible. There were fifteen like there are many mansions in God's house, which was we live in a multidimensional world, locations or lokas. This is determined by our awareness.

It was marvelous. He went from molecules to memory to being in the now and the cosmos in our being, our home. He spoke of the family temple in Hardwar India and how the priests were able to go back to 230BC to show him writings of his forefathers as they placed the handful of bones at the river Ganges there. The earliest ones were in Greek. It so touched his brother and he who were going to have their own bones strewn in a golf course in New York, after just saying goodbye to their own father's bones that they decided instead to continue the practice there. As Deepak calculated it was like 150 billion people were his fore bearers and that's how many people it took to be in the mood for him to be here now;)

 

~remarkable stories. Then there was the one where he had a thought to have an art show with Rumi's work and within five minutes the exact people he needed to speak with were in touch with him, all from a simple intention.

 

The most unifying was the question, who is thinking that thought, when you close your eyes...that is your soul. This along with the heart centered music and poetry sealed it all together, body, mind and soul.
