So far I heard that Prabhupada when sick as a child was given a chicken soup as medicine. As soon he smelled it he had to throw up and was cured. Without taking that chicken soup.

Wonder if this is mentioned in the Ayurveda, today on tv, disgusting view but for many people the only working remedy: Maggot and leech therapies. About 30 million people in the European Union suffer now from diabetes. When they have an injury at the leg the wound often gets so badly infected and doesnt heal anymore that the only solution was amputation. But this is past - now they discovered maggot therapy, maggots directly applied on the wound render 1000 active components and a strong antibacterial effect which always ended up the patient being healed. Started to get a huge business since it became recognized medical treatment around 2003. Similiar leech therapy, people with neck pains, arthritis are getting healed very quickly. There is lots of research going on since they found about 30 different species of leech in the Congo which all have thousands of different active components that are helpful for patients of cardiovascular disease.
