Monism vs Dualism

According to Bhagavad Gita, Is the world monistic? Does the bhagavad gita say "This world is essentially spiritual hiding behind some gross material nature"?

-OR-

Does it say that it is essentially dualistic where, the world is essentially material , but there is another spiritual world where God lives?

Krsna says in the Gita that in one sense he is everything yet He remains separate and aloof.

The example of the sun is always used. The sun is more than the sunshine and remains aloof from it (duality) yet the sunshine is one with the sun because shineshine is only composed of that which emanated from the sun(oneness).

Lord Caitanya taught that it is not a case of accepting one over the other. He taught that we need to accept them both simultaneously.
