I just got this through an email from some friends. Some of the most vehement arguments about being non-veg have been from the camp of people who believe humans should eat meat on a biological basis - that we are built to eat meat. This is an ineteresting table of data:

Most compelling argument. As far as meat-eaters lacking sense control, I remember my young son's disbelief that people ate animals: "It's not chicken the bird, Daddy. It's flat like paper". I hate my lazy ex-wife for arguing with a four year old for two hours after he had decided not to eat animals anymore.
