Venus is duplicate yogi, in parivatana with exalted 10th. Excellent yoga

for D-10. I used to wear several

Diamonds in platinum.

I asked Guruji how come my career shot up at such a young age with wearing

Diamond (which he also recommends for me to wear again). I notice my ND of

Capricorn is starting this April.

So I have one of 2 main choices: My quadruple blue Aquamarine or my baguette

Diamonds. I had not been wearing any gemstones for a while and thought that I

should wear my aqua ring before my fall. It did bring almost immediate relief.

The string of Pearls felt like they were suffocating me, so I took them off,

excepting the bracelet of Moonstones on my left hand which I have been wearing

for a number of years. Yes, this is under control in terms of aspect from

Saturn. (Low blood pressure suffered for years has ceased).

Wearing the diamond bring me lots of sales. Aquamarine gives me good

concentration. (cut from non dichroic crystal) Green tourmaline brought lots of

new contacts in the industry; so did the Rubellite. Citrine gives immense calm

during meditation.

dasas. (as in homeopathy). If this is the case (with 4 recommendations and 4 successes

in ailments, but not enough to warrant a mention as yet), what is the caratage

that will suffice? Garuda and Agni Puranas do not state the weights.

I would not recommend gems of planets in a dusthana, as the malefic effect

gets strengthened also unless you wear it no the left hand during the dasa

of the planet. Then the malefic effect decreases. I would recommend yellow

sapphire instead, or as substitutes yellow tourmaline or citrine.

My own views:

1)sun dasa till 2004 but in 8th house with bhadka-no gem.

2)Moon dasa from 2004-2014-wear pearl

3)Mars from 2014 to 2021-red coral with lord ganesh engraved(Ketu in lagna in

aries and mars in Gemni in Navamsa)-AK dasa should help me on the spirtual path

and increase detachment from the family and worldly matters.

4)Rahu dasa from 2021 onwards-Yellow saphire to keep rahu under check and

controlling it from sliding backwards into materialism and attachment(Rahu in

own nakastra in Libra does keep the person intersted in things material)

I lost 3-4 red coral rings during Ketu dasa.

At present I am wearing a silver bangle for the last 6 months.(I have become too

lazy,I will have to remove it,I look like moon myself now)

If I wear Yellow sapphire now it would help my prakaram and other 3 house

indicators(A3 in 12 th house in Pisces)in foreign lands(I have moved to USA

about 6 years) back and push me more strongly towards different religion from

what I am born in(A6 in Sagittarius in 9th house)and also keep Rahu under

check.But I have doubts if Yellow saphire will be of any use till moon dasa

(from 2004) when Gajkesri and 66%chandra adhi yoga(if there is anything known

as percentage yogas)will operate but then jup is exalted at present with natal

Dear Gauranga,

A possible connotation of your first sentence is that a planet, when in

dusthana, always gives malefic effects. The way I see it, a friendly planet

badly placed (other than in marana sthana, of course) needs all the help you

can give it. If Sun is in 6th or 8th for a Leo native, how would malefic

effects manifest if a ruby is worn? It's only Rahu and Ketu who behave like

the lord of the house in which they're posited.

A little illumination of your point would be most welcome.

Dear Swee,

There are two people I have made the recommendation for and it is because of

PARIVARTANA - you and Sailesh Chaddha. Both have an exchange between venus

and Saturn with the latter getting exalted. So wearing of diamond has been

very good for you and will continue to be good without fail. Diamond

combination with blue sapphire is said to be of immense benefit for Taurus

and Libra Lagna. Problem with Sailesh Chart is that Saturn is in MK avastha

and we have to wait for it to leave Taurus to give excellent results as he

uses the blue sapphire. Your dependance on saturn is minimal and instead

Venus is better to be strengthened.

Strengthening planets in malefic houses or lordships should be done with

caution.

A few thoughts regarding pearls and Ashish's chart:

Moon is a very gentle planet, so most of the poeple like ewaring pearls and

feel no problems with them. However in some cases you may feel constrained

or depressed after strengthening the Moon if it's badly placed, aspected or

associated. So the golden rule for any gems is to put on, wear for a few

months and see how you feel like. Then put down, see the difference. If it's

better wearing than not, then go ahead. The main point is that any gem will

have a very subtle influence on the personality and other featiures of the

native. I have seen people being completely changed while weraing geme,s

especially if there were 2/3 different (often times naturallt or temporally

conflicting) planets. As soon as the native put the gems down, he became his

real self. So watch out for these effects.

Next thought: Chandra Lagna or shubha. True, the sign and Nakshatra ocuppied

by the Moon becomes auspicious, and can be treated like a Lagna for a mental

or emotional perspective of the chart. However Moon is sensitive, so you

should consider all influences on her before strengthening the sign she is

placed in. But in the case of Ashish, by wearing pokhraj, the Subhapati

Jupiter is strengthened, and a smoother effect could be reached in my

opinion.

Next thought on left hand: There is a substantial differtence between the

right and left hands, both for males and females. The right hand is

considered to be more pure, so while offering things to Bhagavan in puja, or

eating Mahaprasad, or giving a donation, etc. the right hand is used.

Similarly, if wering gems which are naturally or functionally benefic for

the native, the pious effect gets increased. The left hand is considered to

be more contaminated, so if we touch anything impure, the left hand should

be preferred. Also, if we want to get rid of the malefic effect of a crtain

planet, by weaing the gem on the left hand, this purification will take

place. However here continuous wearing is usually not recommended. I woudl

prefer putting all malefic gems like Neelam, Gomed etc. on the left hand.

Next thought on Moon's effect in Ashish's chart: Moon in Pisces is very

favourable for spirituality and renunciation, especially noting that

Subhapati is in 12th from it. She is vargottama, and strengthening her may

even be favourable for wealth (Sri Lagna conjoining). However Moon is

Atmakaraka, so we usually don't strengthen the Atmakaraka, but rather the

Ishta. Hanuman got a Ruby ring from Rama which he had to deliver to Sita

Devi. This ruby represented Sri Rama. Also, Moon in 12th is unfavourable for

mother's luck and longevity. Moon is in badhaka sthana from Mars (sthira

karaka for mother) so her longevity may also get hindered. So again I would

recommend wearing the gem for the ishta devata Jupiter.

A possible connotation of your first sentence is that a planet, when in

dusthana, always gives malefic effects. The way I see it, a friendly planet

badly placed (other than in marana sthana, of course) needs all the help

can give it. If Sun is in 6th or 8th for a Leo native, how would malefic

effects manifest if a ruby is worn? It's only Rahu and Ketu who behave like

the lord of the house in which they're posited.

A little illumination of your point would be most welcome.

Quite my point too, dear Swee. Gauranga's "I would not recommend gems of planets

in a dusthana, as the malefic effect gets strengthened" statement seemed a wee

dogmatic.

>From what I'd heard, a favorable planet's gem would always help, especially when

it's badly placed; that's when it would seem to need a little catalyst, isn't

it? If the referred statement were to be extended, you might conclude,

incorrectly, that a gem for an unfavorable planet that's well placed would do

the native good. How about prescribing a blue sapphire for a Leo asc chap with

Sat in 9th?

A possible connotation of your first sentence is that a planet, when in

dusthana, always gives malefic effects. The way I see it, a friendly planet

badly placed (other than in marana sthana, of course) needs all the help

you

can give it. If Sun is in 6th or 8th for a Leo native, how would malefic

effects manifest if a ruby is worn? It's only Rahu and Ketu who behave like

the lord of the house in which they're posited.

A little illumination of your point would be most welcome.
