Dear Vistiji & All,

Few of the charts we see, show indications of moksha from the re-birth

cycle. Some of the indications are possibly,

A) Ketu in watery sign, in 12th from the lagna

B) Ketu in 12th from AK in Navamsa.

Please correct me if I have got the above combinations incorrect or

missed out on some additional combinations.

My question here however is:

These people may lead a very normal life & may possibly sin or not in

this life, so is mokhsa assured ? But if a sin has been committed then

moksha should ideally not happen....

What is the difference between this moksha & the ones like what the

great saints attained ?

Warm Regards,

Ravish

Dear Ravish, Namaskar

First let us be straight on one thing –

that which is getting moksha from rebirth is the atma and not the dhi. So the

12th from Lagna is the moksha for dhi and this is attained every

night through sleeping, but this does not liberate the atma.

Having understood this, we know now that

all those combinations related to moksha in the 12th from Lagna,

must be either:

color:navy">1) related to Ätmakäraka

or

color:navy">2) related to the death chart, where the 12th

from lagna shows whether we get moksha or not.

Secondly when we talk of moksha, the vedas

agree that Vishnu is the granter and the role of God in our life must be seen

from the navamsa, so we can only infer that moksha comes to the 12th

from AK in D9.

Now that this is settled, Parasara and

jaimini have given us some combinations to look for:

color:navy">·

Malefics in 12th from karakamsa send one to an

inauspicious abode, whilst benefic ones send one to an auspicious abode.

color:navy">·

Ketu in 12th from karakamsa gives liberation.

color:navy">·

Malefics in the 4th house deny moksha, as they

give durgati or lead one on the wrong path, whilst benefics will do the

opposite.

color:navy">·

Ketu in 4th grants moksha.

The two latter statements will reveal

whether the persons atma is on a path conducive towards moksha. This is where

the Moon and Venus receive digbala and will put one on the spiritual path of

liberation. You can check this in the charts you see, but in all cases…

you need to see the chart of demise to be sure.

As for differences in types of moksha. They

say there are 4 types of moksha depending on your level of awareness – most

likely the saints had a higher level of awareness, but this is not something I have

learnt to measure yet.

Best wishes,

has no planets but is under aspect from Ketu (from Aries)with rashi

drishti & retrograde Sa from Cancer. In her Navamsa she has Me placed

in Sg navamsa, with Ketu placed in Scorpio. Can we consider that she

is on the path to moksha ?

Dear Visti-ji,

(1) I find in BPHS Chapter 33 (beginning) that is AK is in Pisces

Navamsa, the native will receive final emancipation also. Is this

also an additional condition for Moksha as you described?

(2) Also, can you please help me understand the difference between

functional/ natural malefic nature of a planet? For example, in

BPHS, it is mentioned that Jupiter in Ascendant alone is a cure for

many evils. What if it is a func. malefic? Likewise when exactly we

consider functional nature?

Thanks,

||Hare Rama Krsna||

Dear Sourav, Namaskar

1) This requires a better understanding of

the karakamsa.

i) the planet that is the AK shows what the

person has done in previous births and will have to undergo some harsh lessons

to overcome.

ii) the sign which is the karakamsa shows what

actions the atma is prone to perform in this life, and will have to overcome in

their next birth. So AK in pisces in d9, indicates an atma who has stopped

hurting others and has stopped causing problems. However they are prone to loss

of spouse, just as brihaspati lost tara.

2) Start with this: The good houses are

your friends, and the bad houses are your enemies. The lords of the same will

show what they are doing.

Preferably the lords of bad houses should

either be blessing you and your friends by being strong in kendras, or

destroying each other by being weak in dusthanas.

Libra has no room for the guru of the

devas, so naturally an uncomfortable feeling will arise from Jupiter in libra

lagna.

The next stage is karakas – here Jupiter

will remove all diseases as he is friendly towards the karaka of the lagna –

Sun. So Brihaspati thou in the enemies camp will still do his dharma of

blessing everyone.

But an exception is there always: The

badhakesh will never support the lagna. So Sun in Lagna for Libra is not good

for health at all.

Best wishes,

Dear Visti-ji,

please see below for some furthur questions. Thanks,

[sourav]: My AK is Me in Pi in D9. So I will need to do (or I am

prone to do) more dharmic activity ( or attitude) to overcome

hurdles in life? What do you mean by "next birth" . Do you mean this

life? If not, then how does this birth chart refers to next life? I

thought that information is obtained from Punya chart.

----

So AK

> in pisces in d9, indicates an atma who has stopped hurting others

and has stopped causing problems.

[sourav]: You seem to sort of answer my question above but can you

please clarify furthur what is meant by stopping to cause problems.

-

However they are prone to loss of spouse, just as brihaspati lost

tara.

[sourav]: This is also indicated by Su in 7-th in my D-1.

houses are

[sourav]: Does this mean that if the lord of the bad houses are

natural malefics, in addition to being func. malefics that is worse?

>

> Preferably the lords of bad houses should either be blessing you

and your

[sourav]: Bad house lord in Kendras meaning 'opposite' of

Kendraduma ? May be I am mixing Kendraduma with something else.

Actually, I dont understand this very well. But if Bad house Lords

are in kendras, will they not bring bad effects to the good houses

(kendras)?

-

or destroying each other by being weak

[sourav]: This part I understand. Thanks.

-

uncomfortable

[sourav]: I have Ju in Ge in Lagna. Ju is not comfortable in Ge. So

Ju will still try to do good but the intensity of good will be

lessened, because it is in an enemy camp?

-

>

[sourav]: Ju also seems to be my badhakesh. So it automatically will

not be good in its effects? You refered to Sun in Li in As. Are you

refering to another chart of just said this as an example?

---------

** [sourav]: I have started with Pt. B.V. Raman's How to Judge a

Horoscope and 300 Notable combinations. I am getting BHPS by G.C.

Sharma (the book is on its way). Just to let you know. Thanks.

[sourav]: My AK is Me in Pi in D9. So I will need

to do (or I am

prone to do) more dharmic activity ( or attitude)

to overcome

hurdles in life? What do you mean by "next

birth" . Do you mean this

life? If not, then how does this birth chart

refers to next life? I

thought that information is obtained from Punya

chart.

font-style:italic">[Visti] the karakamsa sign will show how you tend to affect

others in this birth. If you do something wrong you will suffer from this in a

next birth. So the sign shows the actions you do in this birth whilst the

planet shows what you did in the last.

So AK

stopped hurting others

and has stopped causing problems.

[sourav]: Does this mean that if the lord of the

bad houses are

natural malefics, in addition to being func.

malefics that is worse?

font-style:italic">[Visti] It ALL

depends on who is doing what to who.

[sourav]: Bad house lord in Kendras meaning

'opposite' of

Kendraduma ? May be I am mixing Kendraduma with

something else.

Actually, I dont understand this very well. But if

Bad house Lords

are in kendras, will they not bring bad effects to

the good houses

(kendras)?

font-style:italic">[Visti] This follows the principle of vipareet raja yoga –

Dusthäna lords weak in dusthanas or strong in kendras. But yes you are right,

[sourav]: This part I understand. Thanks.

[sourav]: I have Ju in Ge in Lagna. Ju is not comfortable

in Ge. So

Ju will still try to do good but the intensity of

good will be

lessened, because it is in an enemy camp?

font-style:italic">

font-style:italic">[Visti] As far as the lord of gemini is concerned –

Jupiter is a neutral, but on the other hand Jupiter is no comfortable. But both

these points do not talk of the fact that Jupiter is badhakesh for gemini.

[sourav]: Ju also seems to be my badhakesh. So it

automatically will

not be good in its effects? You refered to Sun in

Li in As. Are you

refering to another chart of just said this as an

example?

font-style:italic">[Visti] It was an example and you are right.

** [sourav]: I have started with Pt. B.V. Raman's

How to Judge a

getting BHPS by G.C.

Dear Guru Visti,

Exuse my interupt in conversation, just I have one question on

subject you mentioned:

> [Visti] the karakamsa sign will show how you tend to affect others

in this

> birth. If you do something wrong you will suffer from this in a

next birth.

> So the sign shows the actions you do in this birth whilst the

planet shows

> what you did in the last.

>

>

-while reading some other explainings on role of AK,I understood it

usualy being conected in sense-"what one should do,must to" in order

to keep on right direction in this life.

But does this always come like one took something of wrong way on

graha indicating AK before? for example

-Ma-ahimsa now,but does it mean violent before,Me- must be

truthful,but did oposit before?

or how else to understand that :> what you did in the last

Dear Maja, Namaskar

Simply brilliant! You got it!

If Mars is AK then you beat everyone up and

could not control your temper… maybe your karakamsa was in Scorpio or Aries

in the past life. So in this life Mars will punish you and make everyone angry

with you until you one day learn to give in and stop fighting.

Point is that what about the AK in your

next life? This will be indicated by the karakamsa sign… I have Cancer as

the sign, so if I don’t watch out I may be reborn with Moon as AK? This

is why Jaimini and Paraçara where not concerned about the AK-planets

indications but only the Ak-signs.

Best wishes,

Dear Guru Visti,

Seems you really have chalenges in this lifetime-not only Rh as AK -

"must to" stay of clean heart even might get cheated by others, but

even to be deeply carryng for others and comapssionate(cancer).

(something like apostolic- ofer a right cheek when you get punch in

left:)

By the way what's so wrong indicated with Mo being AK that

one "should watch out"??

Mine AK in Gemini would teach me watch out what I talk, write?(oops)

Best wishes

Dear Vistiji,

"Gatistvam Gatistvam Tvam Eka Bhavani" meaning only the mother can

keep us on the right track ?

In your chart too you have Venus in 4th(Libra) from your Karkamsa(Cancer).

So can we infer that influence of Ve, Mo (& other benefics) on 4th

from Karkamsa will help the native on the right path ?

I have no planets in 4th from karkamsa, but Me, Ve & Ju aspect it with

rashi drishti. If 4th is such a influence then if one has benefic

influences on the 4th, one should pray to such a diety for guidance on

right path, correct ?

I did see the punya chart of Srila Prabhupada, but mokshakaraka Ke is

in Pisces in 5th from the ascendant Scorpio. AK Sun though is in 12th.

Please help me understand this chart.....

Vistiji, I was under the impression that even ordinary mortals by

their good deeds alone were capable of attaining Moksha, hence was

taking the example of my colleague's. I will attempt the charts you

have given & put forward the questions I have....

Thank you,

Warm Regards,

Ravish

Dear Lakshmi, Namaskar

Firstly this is not certain, as this will

depend on how you handle yourself in this birth.

Secondly this is from some discussions with

Sanjayji.

Best wishes,

Dear Visti Ji, Namaskar,

I have Jupiter as AK in virgo sign and it is Vargottam also. Does it mean that

in my next birth Mercury will be AK. What was the cause of Jup being AK in

this birth .Does it mean that Jup. was either in sag. or in pisces in my past

birth. If it is so then Jup was in which sign? How do we find the sign between

Sag. and Pisces.Being Jup AK. my status was very high and I was blessed with

many children in my past life, which is not so in this life. Am I approaching

the correct conclusion ? Kindly show me the path whether I am correct.

I have been very eagerly and conciously waiting for your postings.I sent two

postings before this but none of them is replied. Please reply this one. If

there is anything wrong in my postings, kindly correct me.

Thanks and regards,

Dear Sarajit, Namaskar

You mean as cool as Ice Tea - Moon is

joined Mars in navamsa.

The example I gave of Mars as AK is for

beginners to understand the signficance of the yoga. I have met quie a few cool

people with Mars as AK, but in all cases they have had to suffer the anger of

another person.

Dear Maja, Namaskar

Simply brilliant! You got it!

If Mars is AK then you beat everyone up and

could not control your temper… maybe your karakamsa was in Scorpio or

Aries in the past life. So in this life Mars will punish you and make everyone

angry with you until you one day learn to give in and stop fighting.

OM NAMO NARAYANAYA

Dear Sarajit, Namaskar

In my AK Mars Vimsottari Dasa, I experianced so much unknown anger of my mates

and reasons were unknown.. Even now, I am dealing very carefully as some how I

fail at most of the time. Later I found the answer. Surrender to AK !

My AK is in Virgo in D9, but I am not cool. Still learning.

I think our attitudes towards our experience has nothing to do with AK, But Moon

who experience all these problems. I was thinking about this, when I see your

mail. That is why I asked it.

BTW 13 members were attended today , and most have presented their papers and

mailed to me the whole lot. If I find good works, I will let you know.

Thanks

Karu

Dear Vistiji,

"Gatistvam Gatistvam Tvam Eka Bhavani"

meaning only the mother can

keep us on the right track ?

font-style:italic">[Visti] Yes, our Gati or direction is dependant on the 4th

house, where the mother sits. The direction of the soul is seen from the 4th

from karakamsa.

font-family:"Courier New"">

In your chart too you have Venus in 4th(Libra)

from your Karkamsa(Cancer).

font-style:italic">[Visti] So my soul is moving on this path in a very

auspicious way, and so whenever I worship Sri Kamalatmika, this path becomes

much much stronger.

font-family:"Courier New"">

So can we infer that influence of Ve, Mo

(& other benefics) on 4th

from Karkamsa will help the native on the right

path ?

font-style:italic">

font-style:italic">[Visti] Yes definitely. Especially Venus and Moon are good

there, as they get digbala, and the atma chooses that direction in life.

font-family:"Courier New"">

I have no planets in 4th from karkamsa, but Me, Ve

& Ju aspect it with

rashi drishti. If 4th is such a influence then if

one has benefic

influences on the 4th, one should pray to such a

diety for guidance on

right path, correct ?

font-style:italic">[Visti] Also if they are malefic influences, then that deity

in the form of a Mahavidya should be prayed to, to get over the durgati.

font-family:"Courier New"">

I did see the punya chart of Srila Prabhupada, but

mokshakaraka Ke is

in Pisces in 5th from the ascendant Scorpio. AK

Sun though is in 12th.

Please help me understand this chart.....

font-style:italic">[Visti] In a Punya chart, the presence of Jupiter is very

important, as anything that Jupiter aspects is like the dristi of Bhagavan. In

this chart, the 7th house shows rebirth, the 6th shows

punishment and the 8th shows some suffering. Planets in these places

shows what one must undergo.

font-style:italic">One strong Jupiter in Lagna in this chart can forgive almost

all sins and give moksha. In this chart a Gajakesari Yoga is there, showing his

immense bhakti towards Bhagavan Sri Krishna.

font-style:italic">This is because the lagna in this chart will show the nature

of death, i.e. were your thoughts solely on God or what happened? Do you see

Gulika and Mandi there? This is not a good death, but atleast peaceful (Jupiter).

font-family:"Courier New"">

Vistiji, I was under the impression that even

ordinary mortals by

their good deeds alone were capable of attaining

Moksha, hence was

taking the example of my colleague's. I will

attempt the charts you

have given & put forward the questions I

have....

font-style:italic">[Visti] Good deed will send you to Svarga Loka, but may not

give you moksha.

Dear Ramesh, Namaskar

I’m sorry, but I ignore some posts

if the questions have been answered before, or I when I feel that I can answer

the querries through other means. Some very basic posts I hope some of my

students will answer, so that I can focus on the more indepth topics.

This principle about the karakamsa and

the AK is not certain. Your AK is chosen based on something you did in the

previous birth, which required that you learn the lessons of Jupiter. Now if

you do not learn those lessons and continue to perform the same mistakes, then

who is to say that you will get a new AK? Maybe you have had Jupiter as AK for

several births.

But we can say that the tendency in the

person is very strongly indicated by the sign of the karakamsa and the planets

in it.

We cannot be sure of what the person has

done to overcome or increase the mistakes, until we have seen the prasna chart

or the death chart.

Best wishes,

Dear Visti Ji, Namaskar,

I have Jupiter as AK in virgo sign and

it is Vargottam also. Does it mean that in my next birth Mercury will be AK.

What was the cause of Jup being AK in this birth .Does it mean that Jup.

was either in sag. or in pisces in my past birth. If it is so then Jup was in

which sign? How do we find the sign between Sag. and Pisces.Being Jup AK. my

status was very high and I was blessed with many children in my past life,

which is not so in this life. Am I approaching the correct conclusion ? Kindly

show me the path whether I am correct.

I have been very eagerly and conciously

waiting for your postings.I sent two postings before this but none of them is

replied. Please reply this one. If there is anything wrong in my postings,

kindly correct me.

Thanks and regards,

Ramesh Mishra

Dear Maja, Namaskar

Simply brilliant! You got it!

If Mars is AK then you beat everyone up and

could not control your temper… maybe your karakamsa was in Scorpio or

Aries in the past life. So in this life Mars will punish you and make everyone

angry with you until you one day learn to give in and stop fighting.

Exuse my interupt in conversation, just I have one

question on

subject you mentioned:

-while reading some other explainings on role of

AK,I understood it

usualy being conected in sense-"what one

should do,must to" in order

to keep on right direction in this life.

But does this always come like one took something

of wrong way on

graha indicating AK before? for example

-Ma-ahimsa now,but does it mean violent before,Me-

must be

truthful,but did oposit before?

or how else to understand that :> what you did

in the last

Dear Vistiji,

Thank you for your comments and explainations.

Some other question has arose now,

" Yes, our Gati or direction is dependant on the 4th house, where the

mother sits. The direction of the soul is seen from the 4th from

karakamsa."

Ishta devatha is seen from 12th from Karkamsa. Ishta devatha is the

deity who will lead us to moksha. So will not praying to our istha

devatha lead us on the right path ? Or is it that worshipping the

maha-vidya form of the planets present in or influencing the 4th from

karkamsa will strengthen our path ?

Influence of Me, Ve & Ju on 4th from karkamsa, so which deity should I

worship ?

Punya Chart:

------------

Ju® in 8th in the punya chart. So the death was peaceful. But Mandi

& Gulika are in 4th, you say not good because they aspect the 6th,

showing punishment ? But then the question would arise, why punishment

for such a great soul ?

Warm Regards,

Ravish
