Guest guest Report post Posted August 26, 2003 Dear DharmaDevji Where can I read more about the details of 40 days discipline? Is this coming from shastra, and if so, which scripture? I could not find anything about it at the website...is it for this specific 2,3,5 mukhi combination and what does it do, break cycle of bad karma? You mention that the 40 day threshold leads to wearing of the Higher Mukhi Beads, one should not wear higher mukhis in the beginning or? I would like to know more about these things. Are Siddh Malas recommended by scripture for people with special qualifications or can anyone wear such a mala? What happens with people who begin wearing a full Siddh mala, I guess it must be very individual... I need some answers on this, please, I am not sure what to get right now, what will be best for me, please see earlier postings at #3643 and #3663. Thank you for any insights. I can send you the horoscope readings sent from Rudra Centre Mumbai, if you wanted to look at them. What would be your fee? Thanks, Ole , "ShiningLotus" <shininglotus@c...> wrote: > MahaDev ! Guest guest Report post Posted August 26, 2003 I'm not DDji, but maybe I can give you a partial answer, until he comes back online. I don't know whether 40 days discipline is specifically addressed in scripture. But, I am aware that 40 days is a recognized standard for both mantra and rudraksha discipline in Indian and Nepali cultures. Try entering "40 days" and "rudraksha" into a Net search engine, sometime. You'll see several Indian and Nepali references pop up. I've always been told that it takes around 40 days for the beads' energies to "meld with" the wearer's natural energies-- like it takes about 40 days for a mantra discipline to effect changes in one's energies. And, that effects accrue strongly after about 90 days. These guidelines apply to all the beads and combinations, I understand. This "energy melding" is why it's recommended that malas not be "swapped around." Some people say that it's best to start with wearing the lower mukhi for 40 days, and then add in the higher, to prevent any "jarring" feelings. I started by wearing all the mukhi, up through 13, without any "jarring." Things just got better and better, over time. Some folks get a little "spacey," for awhile, when first wearing 15s and 16s (right Kantiji? DDji? <g>). Hope this gives you some of the information that you need, Take all the very best care, Kari , "alstrup" <alstrup> wrote: > Dear DharmaDevji > > Where can I read more about the details of 40 days discipline? Guest guest Report post Posted August 26, 2003 Dear Kari, Thanks for those valuable insights! Actually, my question was for all, but I addressed the question to DharmaDev as it was him who originally answered the related post from Rajeswara. I appreciate insights from all..! I will do a search according to your recommendations and check any online resources. Wonder why this is not mentioned at the Rudra Centre Website..? This aspect of "energy melding" that you describe is a crucial subject matter! Some people I have had contact with (like Dr. Ramesh) apply Rudraksha effects to be identical to gem therapy; the frequency of the particular gem can either be good or bad, if we feel some bad effects, then we should stop using. But the deeper knowledge about Rudraksha is that any perceived "negative" effects are transient due to the energy meld and shift of the neurophysiology, right? Would like to learn about further insights into the energetics of this phenomenon. Any hints? Thanks! Guest guest Report post Posted August 26, 2003 I just had a COSMIC insight - to also search the database of past postings here - and I already found several answers from DDji! Missed the forest because of all the trees! Silly little me! Lol. :-) Ole , "alstrup" <alstrup> wrote: > Dear Kari, > > Thanks for those valuable insights! Guest guest Report post Posted August 26, 2003 Didnt mean to imply that I dont appreciate personal replies to enquiries! ;-) Thanks, Love, Ole , "alstrup" <alstrup> wrote: > > > I just had a COSMIC insight - to also search the database of past > postings here - and I already found several answers from DDji! > Missed the forest because of all the trees! Guest guest Report post Posted August 26, 2003 Hey, Ole! It IS mentioned on the Rudra Center w/s. I just saw it, a few hours ago, when I did a Google search. I don't know WHERE on the w/s, because I didn't think to check it out-- I just noticed the URL. When I have a minute, I will look it up, again, for you. Now, I'm a woman. I like sparkly gems (I think it's hard-wired into the x-genes <g>). I'm sitting here, looking at the pretty jewels I REPLACED with rudraksham. The reason why I replaced the gems with the beads is that I found rudraksha therapy to be a little better than gem therapy, at least, for me. You can wear the wrong gem, but you can't wear the wrong rudraksha. They can't do harm. I found out about wearing the wrong gem the hard way, when a Jyotishi miscalculated my lagna <g>. Things got kinda weird, for awhile, there. Also, I found the energy impact a little more dramatic with the rudraksham than with the jewels. It was easire for me to FEEL the changes the beads were making. So, I made the switch. I think you are right in your theory that any perceived negative effects are transitory, and are a result of "melding." The beads are sort of "tuning" your nervous system, and "becoming part of you," if that makes any sense. They raise your vibrational level. There might be a tad bit of discomfort, but it won't be much, and it won't last long. Here's an example of a transitory effect. The first few days, when I wore them to bed, I felt a lot of heat in my neck. Though a tad uncomfortable, I found it very reassuring-- it meant that the beads were starting to work. Then, as the beads and I shared energies, the heat effect went away. it took maybe a week. And, Kantiji and DDji have told the occasional funny story about initially having a hard time walking, chewing gum, and wearing a 15 or higher, at the same time. <g> Enjoy your journey, knowing fully that the beads can do you nothing but good. Look forward to your 40 days, and 90 days, and the rest of your life, knowing that you are becoming more and more who you really are meant to be every, single minute. Enjoy the beauty, and the love, and the little mircles that you will begin to see all around you all of the time.(the Gods have a WONDERFUL sense of humor, BTW) <g>. Wear the beads, cherish them, annoint them, meditate on them, and befriend them. They really are living jewels and tangeable manifestations of Dieties. It's been almost a year, for me, and it never gets old, or stale. Not for a minute. Always remember, you are wearing a tangeable piece of the immense and umimaginable love of the God/dess/es around your neck all the time. It's the very best armour that you can have, in this rough and primitive "school." And, do, please meditate every day. Twice, if you can. It makes it even better and faster. I'm not very sophisticated, but I'm fairly intuitive. I know that you were meant to wear the beads. With much love, Kari , "alstrup" <alstrup> wrote: > Dear Kari, > > Thanks for those valuable insights! Guest guest Report post Posted August 26, 2003 Thank you SO much for your kind and beautiful words, Ole! The Devatas are ALREADY blessing you, even as I write this. You will soon know and feel their blessings, for yourself. You will see proof. I promise. Much love, K. , "alstrup" <alstrup> wrote: > Dearest Kari, > > Thanks so much for your blessed letter! Guest guest Report post Posted August 26, 2003 Can hardly wait! :-)) Love, Ole
Guest guest Report post Posted August 27, 2003 Hi Kari and Ole and everyone - thought I'd toss in my two cents on the subject of energy and melding. In 35 years of personal experience with this and observing the experience of many, many other people -two things stand out. First, there is an initializing period wherein the energy of the gem or the beads (or whatever you are bringing into your own energy field) will interact with you and create as a by-product any number of sensations, perceptions or experiences. That fades away after a while and you cease to notice that very much. But, on an ongoing basis, there is a subtle interaction that continues which is based on the vibrational "entrainment" of the gems or beads in relation to your own "signature" frequency of vibration. Your energy field varies, but the gems or beads have a fixed, non-variable, highly coherent field, and the interaction between the two results in an ongoing "clearing" process. What is being cleared are incoherent or imbalanced harmonics or sub-frequencies within your greater energy field. At times, the clearing process can intensify and at other times, it subsides. The same process happens with anything you expose yourself to that is vibrating at a more coherent frequency than you are vibrating at. You are entrained by the "higher" frequency and will begin to resonate with it - which catalyzes the clearing process. Perhaps another angle to consider.... Guest guest Report post Posted August 27, 2003 Hi Alan, Those two cents have a lot of value! Generally, I tend to view things through the Tachyon/SOEF theory based on my previous experience with frequency tools and later experience with tachyon tools. Please see the article at http://www.tachyon-train.com/tachyonenergy.htm for the basics. We know that gems with the "wrong frequency" can create further chaos in our energetic systems. Jyotish is the science given by the Rishis on how to calculate the desired frequency spectrums of gems according to cosmic planetary energy needed for balance. But it seems that Rudraksha are somehow different, that they cannot "hurt" you like gems can, although opinions seems to differ on this point. So there is a difference somewhere, although I have yet to understand where it is... I am quite impressed with your description of "frequency entrainment" and will send it to a very good friend of mine who is regarded as an authority within the tachyon educational community and who has deep roots in the vedic perspective of life. Guest guest Report post Posted August 28, 2003 Dear Ole, My hypothesis is that Rudrakshas operate on a frequency and non-frequency based system. As the are the "Tears of Shiva" the are connected with what is called zero-point energy in other sytems. It is the connnection in the physical realm with that which is beyond name and form. At the same time because they have form ( the different faces) they can act on that basis as well. When specific ones are chosen for or by an individual these rudraskas can direct specific frequencies of energy to help particular problems. They do not unbalance a person because they have a more direct connection to the divine consciousness that do gem stones. I also work with crystals an gemstones in my work with people. They have their own intelligence, but as has been mentioned it seems to be more fixed. I seem them as also as useful in healing and balancing but have noticed that the can cause imbalances if improperly used. Arjuna
Guest guest Report post Posted August 28, 2003 Hello Ole - thank you for your comments and sharing. I would be happy to meet or interact with your friend. To further elucidate on the entrainment theme, think of gems as vibrational amplifiers that are frequency-specific. So, they can only do one thing but they can do it very well. Thus, accuracy in recommendation becomes very important. I believe that Rudraksha, on the other hand, is a not so much a straight amplifier as it is a transformer. In other words, it is capable of both pacifying AND amplifying energies. If the energy is malefic (incompatible), it gets re-structured by the Rudraksha into a compatible energy. If it is already compatible, it gets amplified. That is why Rudraksha can be used astrologically for both malefics as well as benefics, whereas gems can only be used to amplify benefics. Guest guest Report post Posted August 28, 2003 ... and here's proof of the harmlessness of the beads, Ole. Fives are, as we know, the most common (I think that means we are supposed to use a lot of them <g>). Most commercially available japa malas are made of fives. Lotta folks wear and use them. Fives are the planetary representation of Jupiter. Jupiter is malefic for some lagnas. But, one doesn't hear a lot of complaints of illness or discomfort from five-mukhi japa malas. One does read, in the Indian papers, about folks who complain of problems from wearing the wrong gem. Thanks SO much, Alan for you fascinating theory. Which makes PERFECT sense, to me. Guest guest Report post Posted September 3, 2003 Just out of curiosity, how do women deal with this 40day ritual, for those who are not suppose to wear them for the 3to 5 days each month. Lada L. Guest guest Report post Posted September 3, 2003 Many of us believe, I think, that women can wear them right through the month. As DDji reminds us, women are even CLEANER, as the old blood leaves the womb. The stuff that is no longer useable is coming OUT. I know I wear my beads, without respect to monthlies. Guest guest Report post Posted September 3, 2003 Thnx Sis. appreciate your response. This is a very busy time of the year for me workwise. I have been working overtime, just about everyday and week-ends. After work, running off to my 'Hot Yoga'. As I suffer from fibromyalgia, getting up early in the morning is a chore. I haven't been able to chant all of my mantras. At work in the mornings I push paper, and afternoons I deal with my clients. So I plug myself to my headsets and listen to all my mantra tapes at work, with interruptions in between. I have been feeling very guilty about this, as I leave for work each morning, I do a shortcut pooja, and I say to them...'you know how much I love you all, stay with me, in my heart and in my thoughts throughout the day'. This morning, as I was changing the water, which I leave in a stainless tumbler each morning on my alter for the deities to drink in case they're thirsty, the color of the water had changed to milky in color. I've used only water, no milk at all in that tumbler. Also, on the day of 'Ganesh Chaturthi', I found a 'one inch long white rock candy just below 'Lakshmi's picture', I figured it was a gift for me so I ate it. I hope this is a good sign. Lada L. Guest guest Report post Posted September 3, 2003 I think the candy is unmistakeable. Again, I'm no Hinduism expert, but isn't Lord Ganesha associated with milk? Don't beat yourself up. You are doing more than I am doing. I start at 6:30 a.m. Long hours, stressed out bosses, calls all day from frantic clients. I am the lead, and we are understaffed. Often too spent to do anything, after work. Similar situation to yours, at least workwise, no? I have just a few inviolables that are absolute MINUMUMS. Pujas to Lord Ganesha and Hanumaan once per month, each. A minimum of 20 minutes of meditation in the evenings, and 10 in the mornings. More, if I can make the time. Meditation is not possible, at work. My schedule has been so crazy, that I am often to tired to work out. So, a few of us take a 15 minute break, in the p.m., and climb the stairs (lobby to 27th floor). If I don't work out, I will get too ungrounded to do anything religious. My point is.. time and events are moving faster, in the Kaliyuga, and even faster than that in the U.S., I think. So, we clear time when we can clear time. I think we are forgiven that. In fact, I'm sure of it. Love, K. -- In , "Baines, Lada AVED:EX" <Lada.Baines@g...> wrote: > Thnx Sis. appreciate your response. This is a very busy time of the year > for me workwise. Guest guest Report post Posted September 3, 2003 Kari: I was under the impression that non of you worked. So do you just wear the beads and not chant any mantras??? What did you mean by unmistakeable?? I have other things materialize in bits and peices before. Lada L. Guest guest Report post Posted September 3, 2003 Dear Ladaji, When I was working a stressful job, I asked my guru about how long I should meditate. He said to just do it every morning and evening and that the length of time would take care of itself. He said that regularity was improtant. I have found that to be the case. It certainly sounds like Sri Ganesh and Sri Laxmi have blessed you. May their blessings continue without a break! Jai Sridaya! Jai Sridayi! Arjuna "Baines, Lada AVED:EX" <Lada.Baines wrote: Thnx Sis. appreciate your response. Lada L. Guest guest Report post Posted September 3, 2003 Dear Brother: ThankQ so much for your analysis. Actually, I had done the 'Lakshmi Ganesh' pooja on Saturday. I wasn't very successful with the 'laddoo' recipe, however, they tasted great, but were a little soft. It took me all day to make the laddoos, so I had done my pooja late afternoon. I managed to make 108 laddoos. I guess they must have been impressed! ThankQ again. Lada L. Baines Arjuna [arjunaacharya] September 3, 2003 12:05 PM RE: RBSC : Re: 40 days discipline / Detox Dear Ladaji, When I was working a stressful job, I asked my guru about how long I should meditate. Lada L.
