Hi:

My name is Roberto, male, and I'm 29 years old.

I joined this wondefrul group because a friend of mine told me that

she had had very good results with the help of Ayurveda to cure

herself from several ailments.

Basically my main health problems (as well as hers) arised when I took

the awful drug accutane, which my friend told me causes liver

congestion and burns out the adrenals as well.

She recommended me some herbs and would like to know your opinion:

Licorice tea and Tulsi tea have been very helpful for my adrenals.

Nirghundi (Vitex negundo, a relative of Vitex Agnus Casti)and Vidari

Khanda have been tremendously helpful in rebalancing my female

hormones. Shilajit is another endocrine tonic. Milk Thistle in large

doses (at least 1000mg/day) has been a great help to my liver. An

ayurvedic mixture called 'Kama Dudha' has helped with the acidity and

rashes. Guduchi, Jatamamsi & Shank pushpi have helped with the

depression and insommnia. Bacopa has helped with the brain fog.

Yogaraj Guggul and Kaishore Guggul have helped with the muscle and

joint aches.

By the way, I'm a strong Vata body type.

I would like to know your opinion regarding these recommendations and

also, where is a good place to get them on the web, what's the best

way to get them (teas, capsules, tablets, tinctures, etc.).

Also, what books would you recommend me to know more about Ayurveda

and its herbs.

Thanks a lot for your help,

Roberto
