Guest guest Report post Posted August 8, 2004 yah.. there is one more which I do remmebr which i had used in kerala. It is an ayurvedic medicine to be applied (not cosmetic, a kind of eye drops) . Few people use it even if they don't have any disease. In malayalam it's called "ILA NEER KUZHAMBU". I just asked to my mom too about its name in english , she too don't know. hey, any of my mallu(keralite) brothers /sisters can translate that it will be better for him. Even though i have seen people using that even without having any eye disease ( for a kind of eye washing ) I will recommend to use it after consulting a ayurveda doctor , or atleast drop a mail to ayurveda at amma's children's service amma's chakkara kuttan

I just asked to my mom t "Ilaneer" I believe is an unripe coconut (or has some relation to coconut). I have never heard of this, but would be grateful if you could provide more information on this. -yogaman ps. is Ranjeesh your real name or is it an anagram of Rajneesh? rock001 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2010 A normal good diet that is good for your body is automatically good for your eye health too. Exercise regularly. Your vision is connected to your general health. Diseases like hypertension and diabetes can reduce your vision, in fact they can lead to blindness. So exercising regularly will help your body and your eyes as well. Wear those sunglasses to protect your eyes from harm rays of the sun as well as from dust and wind. But be sure your lenses are with UV protection.
Mothman 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2010 Hi, I came across that reciting Chaakshushopanishad early morning before sunrise..rather at the time of sunrise..improves vision greatly. Could anyone confirm this please? I'm thinking of doing it. Regards, realdemigod
