Namaste Rajuji:

First, I suggest that when continue your posting on this monthly

topic, please keep posting with a subject title. Your recent posting

did not have any subject title, and it will be difficult for members

to find a complete list of articles on the subject matter. I suggest

that you repost the same post with the appropriate title and I will

make sure to delete your current article without any subject title

after seeing your post. While sending this reply, I have added the

subject title to this posting for an easy reference.

After reviewing the figures 3 and 4 along with your discussions

pertain to those figures, I want to clarify my understanding from

you. Interestingly, Sri Ben had already raised similar questions

related the relevance of the horizontal and vertical axes in the

figures for understanding the `degree of or level of awareness

measured by spiritual maturity of Jeevas.' Let us take up the

example of an Ocean: When I throw a stone on the ocean from the

beach, I should be able to see the ripple that spreads with a

circular motion. If I limit vision to a tiny segment of the Ocean,

the ripple effect is gigantic where as at the Ocean level, the effect

of the ripple is infinitesimal. Basically, Vedanta's contention is

quite simple and at the same time very profound: When the vision is

limited, the mind disturbance is quite large where as when the vision

is enlarged, the disturbance gets diminished. Following mathematical

limit theorem, if we expand our vision indefinitely, at some point,

the disturbance can completely disappear! In essence, the disturbance

is only due to ignorance and with full wisdom, we can in fact

recognize that the disturbance is an illusion! Now the explanations

that I have provided do not require any axes whatsoever and there is

no need to introduce distinction between cosmic time and ordinary

time also.

I want you to explain what did we gain with the introduction of this

mathematical in the understanding of Vedanta. What additional

insights that these figures along with implied model bring for our

understanding of Vedanta?

What are the justifications for the two axes perpendicular to each

other even though the ripple effect represents a 360 degree circular

path?

Your explanations will be valuable for me and all other silent

members to understand your mathematical model.

Warmest regards,

Harih Om!

Those who are following Raju's discussion should

be aware that I have transferred all of Raju's postings,

and as many comments as seemed relevant and which

I did not miss, over to a special blog at

http://advaitamath.blogspot.com/

I believe it will be much easier to review the thread

there than here.

If I miss any important messages (Raju's postings

or related comments), please feel free to inform me.

Thanks & Hari Om

Ben
