Should you not at least go to Mysore and ask Pattabhi Jois for his permission? I mean this is only respect. Beginning students need a teacher who is an adept who can DO everthing he teaches. This is especially important if you have no prior background in yoga. I think the idea of a practice group is OK if you represent yourself as another student who is also still learning and not as a teacher.
