Guest guest Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Pranam. Two more Thirukurrals for us to imbibe....... A fortress earns greatness by enabling courageous defenders to gloriously defeat the enemy at the battle's very onset. Whatever excellent qualities a fortress may possess, it will be of no avail without men of excellent action. -Tirukkural 75: 749-750 With Love Shankaree Get a bigger mailbox -- choose a size that fits your needs. Guest guest Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 well said, shankaree! that is why sree durga mata is called DURGA - there are amny meanings for this beautiful word... the prominent one is one who relieves difficulties - durgati nashini- THE OTHER MEANING -MATA DURGA PROTECTS LIKE A FORTRESS WHOEVER TAKES REFUGE UNDER HER LOTUS FEET , she guards them and protects them like a strong fortress! SO, A FORTRESS IS NOT JUST A WALL MADE OF BRICKS - it is only as good as the people behind the wall defending it against attacks! this is the role of our durga mata ! she defends all her devotees. love shankaree ! , shankaree ramatas <shankaree> wrote: > > Pranam.
