Hello everyone,

 

 

Well, you know I am loving this list so far........I have something that I

wanted to address, simple as it may be- it is very crucial to me!

 

Awhile back, before I had read anything on Hinduism I had visionary

experiences of both Kali Ma and lord Shiva in quick succession. This has

utterly changed my life-hopefully for the best!

 

I tried my best to devote myself to these deities and primarily Kali as her

Darshan was definitely more intense. Now, I find myself at an uncomfortable

crossroads....

 

I am playing Mridangam, Harmonium, and Tabla and studying Hindi. My general

knowledge of Indian culture and religion has increased and that certainly

fills me with joy, but sadly I feel a little disconnected from what got me

here in the first place!

 

I have an altar arranged for Ganesh, Kali, and Shiva and also pictures of

Saraswati about the house which I frequently pray to for help with my

studies, but aside from simple prayer-I still find things a little confusing

and feel like I could act more ritualistically.

 

This list is giving me lots of good info and I see so many knowledgable

people here. I know in my heart that Kali Ma and Shiva called me to them, but

unfortunately they never told me what to do! How could they? Would I be a fit

devotee if I didn't work?

 

..........but help is always nice! I don't want to ask you for too much, but

if you found yourself in my shoes, what would you do? I already know what the

right thing for me is, so now it is just a question of HOW?

 

Any thoughts, feelings, comments, suggestions, opinions, lambasting would be

greatly appreciated.
