  1. This threat must be dealt with in a befitting way according to the nature of the threat.

I am certainly not for indiscriminate attacks on Moslems. But I am for hunting down these terrorists and killing them on sight. No courts no nothing. Kill them where they are found. This of course takes great intelligence and cooperation among nations. they have boldly declared war and should be taken on their word as not to mention their deeds. 46 more people killed in Chechnia (sp?)yesterday due to a suicide car bombing.

This is not religion but a group of fanatic suicide/murder cultists.

No negotiation, no compromise.Kill 'em. I felt the same long before 9/11.

Not pretty, but the only effect way to deal with the threat.

  3. sorry i can't link you up netpoet. I understand your situation. Perhaps a good way tp proceed is to be patient a little longer and spend some time around the Houston Temple's community and get to know your prospective wife a little. Make sure your goals are the same. Age is not enough. It's a big step and if you choose wrong you may be in a state of lamentation for decades.

  4. That's him. You nailed him perfectly, bald on top, pony tail tied back, New Age grin, the whole package.

Yes to souls in other lands, we're just joking around. You can always get us back on our spreading of superfical culture. You know, the one you complain about but support with your money. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I saw him on CNN also. Yes I watch too much cable news. Wolf Blitzer refered to his group as a religious sect. I blew up. He's an theist. So I fired off an email asking them to change that to scientific cult.

AP is also calling them a religious sect. They try to hang all that's kooky on religion. Sure we may have our share but c'mon, not everything.

  5. Just like on Christmass day, I had CNN on(first mistake). They had a nice long piece on the Dalai Lama. 1/2 hr.at least.

Nothing on Jesus Christ. That may offend somebody I guess. So they replaced Jesus with a Buddhist teacher who while being interviewed mention that there was no creator.

    That offended me.

I repost this from the overview to 451.

"When Montag fails to show up for work, his fire chief, Beatty, pays a visit to his house. Beatty explains that it's normal for a fireman to go through a phase of wondering what books have to offer, and he delivers a dizzying monologue explaining how books came to be banned in the first place. According to Beatty, special-interest groups and other "minorities" objected to books that offended them. Soon, books all began to look the same, as writers tried to avoid offending anybody. This was not enough, however, and society as a whole decided to simply burn books rather than permit conflicting opinions. Beatty tells Montag to take twenty-four hours or so to see if his stolen books contain anything worthwhile and then turn them in for incineration. Montag begins a long and frenzied night of reading."

  7. Never saw V Gaurachandra. I think maybe one of the first episodes way back when. It probably shows on reruns. Everything else does.

I went to the site shiva linked us up to. lots and lots of new age crap. Courses in Sensual Meditation meant to break down our inhibitions that those pesky Christians imposed on us.

They want to build an embassy on Earth for the Raelians. They won't reveal themselves until that is done.

Like everthing else maybe a little truth here and there.

  8. I just turn on Fox news and there she was. What a surprise. Do you think they were hoping for a Christmas birth?

I don't understand cloning. I have heard that that sheep Dolly, is going through rapid aging. I think it has to do with the genes from the "mother/father" sheep having already aged. The clone then takes on those characteristics. Not sure.

I find it odd that they provided no photos of the supposed cloned baby. Maybe it has two heads, no feet, or it might even look like Micheal Jackson.

    Interesting story to watch.

But how did the forms on Earth become established? I do accept the extraterrestrial gentic manipulation idea in some form. How else do we explain it apart from Darwian, which i don't go along with?

  9. Raelian's march in DC chanting "We're here..we've funny ears...get used to us."

Raelian's feel alienated by something in fifth canto. Should we change it to make them feel comfortable?

What if they feel underrepresented in ISKCON? Should they have a spot reseserved for them on the GBC as a minority group?

But seriously what if they are just servants of the prajapatis, the progenitors of mankind?

  10. Debbie, I also drink soy milk. I can't digest milk and now I see what suffering it causes. They are making it better all the time. I use it for smoothies. Vannila being my favorite. Soy milk, some fruit, berries maybe, a big spoonful of some p-nut or sesame butter and I'm on my way.

Modern milk has pus in it also. From their pumping some many hormones into the cows. their udders become grossly distended to the point of dragging on the ground. They become infected due to this and the pus cells end up in the milk right on the shelf. Yucko

  11. Debbie,

I'm not sure all of the changes that have occured or why. I have read the old editions and the one you have just ordered.

I actually like the later edition in many ways. That is the one I use now. It just seems to be clearer to me in some ways. I am no expert on these things but i would say that I feel you can read it with confidence. Some one may post some exact changes that we should be concerned about but I haven't seen them.

I aslo was introduced to the Srimad Bhagavatam's that Srila Prabhupada brought with him from India. The English was rather broken. Later when he took on disciples he had help in editing the English which helped a lot.

You are going to love reading the Bhagavad-gita. I still have trouble with the sanskrit terminology, so I just concentrate on the English.

Every verse has a revelation for us.Let us know when it arrives and think of some questions for the teachers here.Jndas is very good at answering questions on the philosophy. I am not so scholarly myself but would love to hear what you find in it.
