  1. 'unfortunate' defeat? what a ridiculus statement! There was nothing unfortunate in Hitler being defeated, the man was an evil tyrant. Anyone who thinks his defeat was bad has got serious personal issues
  2. Hello! I'm entirely new to religion, just beginning to research into it really. I'm not sure how to describe why i've suddenly developed an interest in that kind of thing but Hinduism seems particularly interesting to me, it seems a different religion to all the others (not just in subtle ways) and it's really inspired me to find out more about it. I have a particular interest in the god 'Ganesha' but am unsure exactly what he is the god of...some say he is the destroyer of obstacles (i've heard Hanuman being described as the same) others that he is the god of knowledge, education, wisdom and wealth etc Are all of these true? it seems there are varying accounts of exactly what he is the god of, which can be confusing /images/graemlins/confused.gif Do Hindus actually worship one god (of their own choosing) all the time or does it vary who they worship according to their personal needs at different times in their life? i.e someone beginning a journey might worship Ganesha but would he worship Krishna at a different time in the same day to dispel hatred? Sorry if they seem silly questions but as I say, i'm new to all this and still learning the basics thanks for your time
