  1. I am not offended. In fact no Hindu will be offended as Hinduism teaches us that different people might have different views on various subjects and all of them might be right. Hinduisn teaches its followers to believe in the goodness of all human beings as everybody is God's child.Hindu thoughts are generally not understood by many people and this gives rise to confusion in their mind. Your questions and my answers are not painful for me. I only intended to find out the purpose behind your questions. Now when you have clarified that you have always been fascinated by Hinduism and wanted to know more, the purpose is known. You can communicate with me freely at (suresh@betterlife4all.com) As far as being slaves for so many centuries to muslims and others there is nothing to feel ashamed on this account.Rather the people who attacked Hindus and made them slaves should feel ashamed of themselves.Where will you find people who embrace their attackers and treat them as their family members. These Hindu views, as I have said earlier, might look strange to you but a deeper understanding will make them crystal clear. This is the beauty of Hinduism. Hinduism is based on eternal principles of love and compassion for all the mankind. Hinduism is not started by a person or persons. It does not associate with individuals but with all human beings as a family. Being a follower of such religion can only be a mater of pride. So many attacks but Hinduism is still strong.Hinduism has never attacked any other religion.Attacking others or hating others is not a part of Hinduism.
  2. Is there any specific reason for asking such questions? You asked me if I am a Hindu. I told you that I am a Hindu and I am proud to be a Hindu. Is this statement very difficul to understand? Now tell me about yourself. Probably then I amy be able to remove any misundersanding or doubt you have.
  3. Let me ask you a question. Why one should feel ashamed of his religion? I am a Hindu and I am proud to be a Hindu.
  4. I am a Hindu, a follower of the Eternal Religion, which over the time came to be known as Hinduism.
  5. Talking of Americans waking up from the illusion they have about themselves, one can say that it is asking too much from them. The systhetic superiority complex they have about themselves has made them incapable of recognizing the reality at ground level.
  6. regarding the subject of the message - All humans and other living beings are the creation of God. By calling America, God's Nation, do we say that only people living in America are God's people? The text of the message, I agree with.

  8. I believe that all Hindu-Muslim clashes are engineered by vested interests. These interests can be anyone or more out of across-the-border-agencies, politicians,Hindu/Muslim fundamentalists, anti-social elements. No common Hindu or Muslim wants to fight each other but in the frenzy of spread hate in the name of religion they are sucked in to the clashes. It is therefore becomes necessary to properly guide these people to beware of these hate mongers and trouble creaors. This forum can be a medium for such guidance.
  9. You are right. It is a political game being played for survival. It is the continuation of British legacy of 'Divide and rule'. People of both India and Pakistan should tell these politicians to get lost. Let u vote for LOVE. Love is God and God is love.
  10. What wonderful relationships people have with Krishna! To someone He is a thief, stealing everything including his heart. For Mira Krishna was her Beloved. Surdas saw Him as a childhood griend. To Arjuna He was a friend. Brother of Draupdi, Krishna was the Son of Devaki and Yashoda. Kansa, Shishupal, Duryodhana, all saw Him as their enemy. And each one of these people received His love. May Krishna give His love to all of us.
  11. I agree that one should keep on asking himself if he has been sincere to himself, his guru (if he has one)and Krishna. The four regulations - No meat-eating, No gambling, No intoxication, No illicit sex. These are self-regulatory. One has to work for it.
  12. World does not hinder anybody's devotion to Krishna by giving him pain, arousing anger and similar emotions. In fact, there is no pain or pleasure in the world. It is our perception about the situations around us. We perceive some situations giving us pain and some giving us pleasure. We nurture various expectations. When our expectations are fulfilled, we experience plaesure. When our expectations are not fulfilled, we experience pain. And under ignorance we blame the world and the people around us for the pain. We become selfish and start blaming others for pain, but when when we feel pleasure we do not give credit to others. We must develop a positive attitude towards the people, the world and the situations around us.Becoming a sanyasi is not going to help. If our negative thought process continues then living in forests and mountains is also not going to help. Krishna is within us and we have to discover him within us.
  13. It is not correct to say that in Hindu society, every worldly activity is under the control of religion, and it orders ceremonies throughout a Hindu's life and gives instructions to his descendants, which they must follow in order that his happiness may be secured. Hinduism is a religion which is eternal, Sanatan Dharma. People have given it a name, Hinduism, but that does not limit it to an individual, a group, a sect or any community. It is universal. It treats the whole creation as a family. It is based on never-changing principles. It does not relate to any individual or group. It belongs to all and all belong to it. Hinduism, the eternal religion, is to be practiced with love, compassion and respect for others. This love and compassion extends not only to human beings but to animals, birds and entire nature. Women are respected under this principle. The customs and rituals followed in Hindu society are not a part of Sanatana Dharma. They are the practices, as understood by different people in different times, and have changed with time.Principles of Dharma never change.
