  1. I disagree with you.A country is known by the way its cities are maintained. Have you ever been to any Indian city?. Its easy to stay abroad and sing praises of India ,but the ground realities are different my friend. A country is also known by the leaders ,and lets face it my friend, our leaders are a PATHETIC breed. They are representative of our population. Why do you talk about sex .Thats somebodys private affair and a natural urge. I am talking about corruption, indifference,GROSS INDIFFERENCE and GREED!
  2. Its better not to repress ones desires. Do you want that guy to become a lunatic or something. Sorry but there is limit to everything. People who become too religious become cranks thats all... In Kaliyug it is enough if one remains a good human being(not a conservative fanatic) with reasonable devotion. You dont have to retreat into a cabe or cut yourself from the rest of the world..Enjoy life and do your duty to humanity
  3. Dont be a snob Kulapavana. The Mayans were no doubt cruel but they were very intelligent people too. At the rate at which India is moving I would so say that it is Indians which have become a decadent race what with corruption, mindless procreation, indifference etc.
  4. Hey you guys ought to be happy that there is a chance of the world ending by 2012! . Who wants to live in this demonic world so full of unhappiness ,suffering and pain . Especially in the 21st century which i feel is the WORST century!! Just wait and watch!!
  5. Thanks for your posts . Dear guest you say one should be happy with what one has,but the fact is that even if one obtains something that one has longed for,one is not happy. I am sure you agree with me that nothing can bring happiness in todays world! Am i the only one to feel this way or are any you feeling exactly the way i do. I am not a depressive, but all the same i cant call myself a happy person anyway. Happiness is an elusive thing which one can never hope to attain these days!
  6. Thanks for your posts . Dear guet you say one should be happy with what one has,but the fact is that even if one obtains something that one has longed for,one is not happy. 7. Sometimes i wonder why we continue this charade. What is the purpose in living on this planet?. At the end there is only suffering and death. Sorry to sound so pessimistic, but people these days are more unhappy than happy,as materialism and worship of mammon has assumed primary inportance in todays horrible world. At least in the 1960;s'70's 80's and even in the early '90's life was slow paced.I strongly feel that the 21st century is the WORST.It has made life practically unlivable.People have lost their character ,there are so many new diseases,so many conflicts, overpopulation, terrorism, pollution, cruelty etc... Truly Kaliyug at its PEAK!
  8. The desire is there in some people to leave everything and run away. Kulapavanam if your wife and childern are capable of looking after themselves without your presence then by all means leave, but otherwise your primary respnonsibilty is towards your family! I dont understand why you married in the first place! I too plan to leave, but only aftermy parents leave this world. I am single and unmarried and i intend to stay that way,as I have my task cut out for me,but in your case the situation is completely different!
  9. Dear Guest I think in every sphere you have good and bad people. You have good engineers, bad engineers, good doctors, bad doctors etc. In the same way, you have good astrologers and bad astrologers. That does not mean that astrology is imperfect or a pseudo-science
  10. Are all of you saying that Astrology is a pseudo science. Then how come some of the predictions come true?. But you are right I dont think they can predict ones death.
  11. I would like to know if astrology can predict whether a person will attain moksha(salvation) or not. My astrologer told me that this would be my final birth and that i should refrain from worldly pursuits like money, marriage career etc... I would like to invite other people who have also been told that this is their final birth to debate on this topic
  12. Dear Guest and theist ,thank you for your posts. Yes what you both said did allay my fears for now,but nevertheless i feel a strong attachment towards my loved ones,i cannot think of leaving them even for swargaloka. Also ,the mention of different types of hellish planets have begun to scare the daylights out of me!! I know i have done no wrong and done no harm to anyone(as i am a hermit) but still the fear haunts me....
  13. Death is a always scary simply because we know nothing about it.It also involves loss of identity and loss of our beloved ones, that is why it is so feraful, not beacuse we are attached to our worldly possesions.
  14. Its ridiculous to imagine that someone who fought an epic war 5000 years back is still alive. Wonder what his heart and disgestive systems are composed of? Maybe he has cold blood in his body as no warm blooded animal can survive for sooo long!!!
  15. What life can there be after death dear theist? After death there can be only darkness and we end up losing our identity and our loved ones. What happiness is there in existing in a void?. Think logically, where you go during sleep is where you go after death, a void, a horrible void, of never ending darkness.... HELP!
  16. Hey I feel its better to enjoy and live for the day ,at the same time we need to be kind ,caring and loving human beings. I have seen many seemingly devoted people who are extremely conservative ,stupid and close-minded. Remember, God would not have created the world if he did not want humans to enjoy life
