But there are so many conceptions of God. And it is unfair to judge others who never had the chance to learn what we know.

But here again, such conceptions do not challange the human mind. We hide behind a very subjective contentment, one that is not valid for every human being.

I think that there is no such thing as "Good" or "Bad" really. Our conception of Bad and God originally comes from the sensations of pleasure and pain. Like Epicurus explained. So I believe that your friend must first question the way he sees things before he can make judgements on the nature of anything.

But what if I don't understand? Or I get it wrong?

Hello everyone, Philosophy makes us think about, I would say, everything important to human being. It gives answers, more likely to be logical and convincing. It doesn't semm though to be satisfactory, that is why we turn to religions and spirituality. I'm wondering if it isn't enough? Why do we need spirituality if philosophy gives more logical answers, ones that the mind can easily accept most of the time? Thank you.

I shall also ask myself these questions again.
