Hejje Pradakshine made easy in this Saibaba Temple at Mysore Road There is a Beautiful Shirdi Saibaba Temple at Hunsemaradahalli, Off Mysore Road, Bangalore known by the name "Shri Shirdi Sai Anandamayi Temple". The speciality of this temple is that the temple and the Dwarakamai is constructed just like the Original Shirdi Temple. More speciality about the temple is that There are Hundred and Eight (108) Stone Blocks erected starting from the left side of the temple in a clockwise manner and the Stone Blocks ends exactly at the right hand side of the temple from where you can enter the temple. This has been done to enable the sai devotees to perform "Hejje Namaskara" wherein a devotee is given the opportunity to Chant Saibaba's name hundred and eight times (108) or utter Sai Astothara before entering the temple. 3. Om Sai Ram. Dear Rohit ji and Sai Bandhus, Kindly beware of such articles "IS SHIRDI LOSING ITS SUFI TRADITIONS ?". I know Yogindra Sikand personally. A left-oriented intellectual, Sikand has made a career for himself by writing on communal issues in India. He has a very biased view against Hindus, and spares no chance to slight their religion, traditions and places of worship. He has published scores of explicit and implicit anti-Hindu articles and books in recent years. As far as Baba's Sufi tradition goes, it was neither pro-Muslim nor pro-Hindu. He did not belong to any religion, nor did He decry worshipping Him in Hindu ways. Even in His time, He had more Hindu followers and only a handful of Muslim disciples. There was strong opposition from some Mullahs to worshipping Baba even then, and to building His Samadhi in the wada built by Buti Sahib, though that was Baba’s own wish. The reason behind that opposition is simple: Islam prohibits worshipping anyone or anything except Allah. Worshipping God in human form is not at all acceptable in this religion. So, when people complain about current practices in Shirdi, it is possible that Muslims themselves have lost interest in Sai Baba's heritage. We must not forget that after the post Islamic Revolution in Iran in late 1970s, Islam has attained a fundamentalist hue, and has thus greatly lost its syncretic tradition among most of its followers. It is no wonder then that Islamic militants have included Shirdi temple in their hit-list recently. In Kashmir, which was once the hot-bed of Sufism, all sufi shrines have either been burnt down or have been reduced to mere artifacts where very few people visit. Islam in Baba's time had syncretic character, which was more inclusive of other traditions. Things have drastically changed in this religion in recent decades. However, we still have some followers among Muslims who hold Shirdi sacred, and worship Baba as God. But, their number is indeed very small as compared to Hindu followers. I’m sure that Shirdi Sansthan would not object if Muslims come forward to celebrate their festivals alongside Hindu festivals. Let us not criticize this Sansthan, and learn to appreciate them for whatever work they are doing. And, please do not criticize the followers who should be given the freedom to worship any photograph of Baba that appeals to them. There are millions of us who love the original pictures of Baba in tattered clothes, including me. When we criticize Baba’s followers and His Shirdi, we go against Baba’s teachings. Please be careful not to join the bandwagon of critics of Shirdi, for they are not the followers of Baba. They like to criticize everything and everyone. Let us learn to appreciate the glass half-full, rather than complain about it being half-empty. Om Sai Ram. Regards, The DwarkaMai Team.
  4. "SHIRDI IS LOSING ITS SUFI TRADITIONS" By Shiv Kumar Source - http // infochangeindia org/200604045525/Human-Rights/Features/Shirdi-is-losing-its-Sufi-traditions.html InfoChange News & Features, April 2006. In the temple town of Shirdi, Moharrum is no longer celebrated alongside Ram Navami, a practice begun by the Sufi saint Sai Baba. A stone’s throw from the bustling shrine of Sai Baba in Shirdi, 200 km from Mumbai, priceless chronicles detailing the life and sayings of the Sufi saint are crumbling to bits. More than 200 pages of hand-written manuscripts written by Haji Abdul Baba between 1895 and 1918 -- the year Sai Baba passed away -- are lying at his former cottage which has been turned into a shrine by his descendants. “Abdul Baba used to write down the utterances of Sai Baba that dealt with the unity of the Hindu and Muslim faiths,” says his grandson Hameed who manages the shrine. The text of Abdul Baba’s manuscripts draws parallels between the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and the Hindu legends associated with Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma. Sai Baba’s discourses, as chronicled by Abdul Baba, also dealt with the prevalent Sufi traditions of the time, in parts of Deccan Maharashtra and northern India. According to Hameed, his ancestor’s notes are a blend of Deccani Urdu and the now-extinct Modi script that was widely used in Maharashtra until the mid-1950s. With little assistance from the Shirdi Sansthan, Maharashtra’s richest shrine, which has annual revenues touching Rs 100 crore, Hameed has been forced to dump the precious notes into a cupboard along with the tattered effects of Abdul Baba. “It would help if the authorities helped preserve these documents,” he says, showing the papers encased in ordinary polythene bags. Only a small fraction of Sai Baba’s devotees who throng the magnificent shrine next door make their way to the still-humble cottage of Abdul Baba. But Hameed dutifully allows everyone to handle the parchment and other effects of his ancestor, regardless of the resulting wear-and-tear. The managers of the Shirdi Sansthan are disinterested in Sai Baba’s chronicles. “It is the private property of his descendants,” says Bhausaheb Watchure, government-appointed administrator of the shrine. Hameed himself is reluctant to hand over the manuscripts to the trust, saying he is worried about their safety. “It would help if private bodies came forward to preserve these papers,” he says. Delhi-based researcher Yoginder Sikand, who has studied the evolving worship of Sai Baba, warns that Maharashtra’s politicians who control the shrine are uncomfortable with the saint’s Muslim origins, as depicted in the chronicles. “The Sai Baba shrine is completely Brahminised and all traces of Islam are being erased from here,” Sikand says. For instance, says Sikand, the trust has abandoned the practice, started by Sai Baba, of celebrating Moharrum along with Ram Navami. Now only Ram Navami is celebrated in Shirdi though the trust’s museum clearly documents the two festivals being celebrated together here. As he emerges from the little mosque, 85-year-old Ghulam Habib Abdul Rehman Pathan seems an unlikely candidate to sing paeans to Bollywood. A devout Muslim sporting a luxurious beard, Pathan remembers a time when Sai Baba’s shrine at Shirdi was humbler and devotees came in tongas and bullock carts to pray. “After Manoj Kumar made his movie on Sai Baba, life changed entirely here,” says Pathan. The cult film of the 1970s has paid rich dividends to Shirdi’s residents. With pilgrims flocking from across the country, the simple mud huts of Sai Baba’s early devotees have transformed into brick-and-mortar structures housing small businesses. Even the dilapidated mosque that Sai Baba made his home has given way to an elaborately carved stone structure. “The mosque gradually crumbled and the place got several facelifts in subsequent decades,” recollects the wizened Pathan who, as a boy, earned Rs 1.50 a month as a watchman. Working on a project for the National Foundation for India, I am eager to find traces of the legendary amity that saw groups of Hindus and Muslims worshipping side-by-side here. Instead, I find middle-class India swaying to tunes from tinsel town. “You will identify the Muslims in the queue as they usually donate a chador at the mazaar,” says Razzaq Shaikh, a local leader. On the face of it there is little discernible difference between the worshippers clad uniformly in western-style shirts and trousers for the men, and churidars for the women. Eastman Colour has touched up even the images of Sai Baba sold at wayside stalls. “Few people buy photographs of the real Sai Baba clad in tattered robes leaning against the walls of his mud hut,” admits the owner of a local photo studio. “People have forgotten that Sai Baba lived a simple life,” says Shivaji Bhaskarrao Shinde, an employee of the Shirdi Trust. His family heirlooms include coins, notes and photographs of his great grandmother Laxmibai with the Sufi saint. Old-timers say Sai Baba used to hold langars, or community kitchens, where Hindus and Muslims were served food out of the same pot. “Baba himself used to serve non-vegetarian food to his devotees,” says Shinde. Now, the Maharashtra government has banned the sale of meat near the shrine, to the consternation of local Muslims and dalits. Even the Moharrum procession at Shirdi has been abandoned, in sharp contrast to the opulent Ram Navami celebrations, even though Sai Baba himself insisted on observing the rituals of both communities. The Maharashtra government’s move to placate the rich mercantile Hindu castes has paid off, with the Shirdi Trust earning Rs 90 crore last year. As murmurs of discontent grow in Shirdi, the trust has come up with a brainwave. “We have enough land in this town to recreate a model of old Shirdi to educate and entertain pilgrims,” says Bhausaheb Watchure, the bureaucrat who manages the Shirdi Trust. 6. Without Doing Much, Achieve Much. The word “DAAN” or "DONATION" has a very wide definition & doesn’t necessarily relate to Material Things only i.e, giving Money. It also has Subtle aspects to it like - "Giving your valuable Time to Help Others, Sharing your Valuable Knowledge to Guide Others, Praying for Others, & Utilizing your present Resources to the Maximum so as to Directly or In-directly Benefit Others." But most of it is usually for the benefit of Humans only...so what about the Animals & Birds. Sai Baba used to keep separate Earthen Bowls for feeding Food & Water to Birds and Dogs etc. The Hindu scriptures too, advice us to keep separate a portion of freshly prepared meal, everyday, of which a portion should be fed to the Cows, a portion to the Crows, and a portion to the Dogs. It is said that by doing so one wards off many adversities he/she might be facing or might face in the Future. It helps you not only Spiritually but also Astrologically for many a problems. But not many of us can or do keep aside a portion of freshly prepared food for any animals or birds, as on a daily basis it might not be possible to do this owing to the hectic lifestyle of this modern age. But.... There are a few things which "Without Doing Much, One Can Achieve Much." And that is - IF NOT FRESH FOOD, THEN FEEDING THE DAILY LEFT OVER EDIBLES / PEELS TO ANIMALS & BIRDS. 1. Put a Bowl of Water outside the Window or any Open High Space – For Crows or Sparrows & other Birds. 2. Put a Bowl of Water Outside the House – For Stray Dogs & Cats. 3. Left Over Food (Rice, Bread, Chapatis, Vegetables) – Feed the Crows or Cows. 4. Vegetable Peels / Fruit Peels / Raw Stems or Soggy Leafs of Spinach, Coriander, Fenugreek – Feed the Cows. 5. Soggy Salty Snacks / Unwanted Sweetmeats – Feed the Crows, Dogs or Cows. 6. Left Over Curd / Milk – Feed the Dogs or Crows 7. Millets / Grains - Feed the Pigeons or Ants. 8. When Eating Out, always get the Left Over Food packed for the Needy or Stray Animals. Q) Feed the Animals / Birds Left Overs or Peels ? It is Better than Not Feeding them Anything at all. And Much Better than the things they have to Eat from the Garbage. And Much Much Better than leaving them to Starve!!! Have Penned a few lines – “LEFTOVER....NO ONE ATE, THERE ARE MANY NOT PROVIDED BY FATE, SOMEDAY,YOU TOO COULD BE THE BAIT, WELL, WHO KNOW`S THE DATE ? SO, WHY WAIT… BEFORE ITS TOO LATE, MAKE LOVE CONQUER HATE, FOR THE HUNGRY OPEN GODDESS ANNAPURNA`S GATE, BY FEEDING ANIMALS & BIRDS OF WHATS LEFT ON YOUR PLATE, AND BABA WILL SURELY BLESS YOU, AT AN UNBELIEVABLE RATE. SO, JUST IN HASTE, DON`T LET ANY FOOD GO WASTE, AS, IT COULD BE THE ONLY MORSEL, SOMEONE WOULD EVER GET TO TASTE !!!" SAIRAM, ROHIT BEHAL
  7. "MUKH-DARSHAN" FOR DEVOTEES WHO WANT TO JUST HAVE A DARSHAN OF BABAS SAMADHI IDOL FROM FAR, THEY CAN ENTER THE TEMPLE FROM A DOOR- MARKED AS "Q" ON THE SHIRDI GUIDE MAP ABOVE. THIS ENTRY IS JUST AT THE BEGINNING OF MAIN GATE NO.3 ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE. AND AS ONE ENTERS BY THIS DOOR, HE / SHE STANDS BETWEEN A STEEL BARRICADED PASSAGE BETWEEN THE FRONT & BACK SIDE OF THE TEMPLE, LIKE AN AISLE, SO, ONE CANNOT GO FROM THIS PLACE OF MUKH DARSHAN FORWARD FOR SAMADHI DARSHAN. HE WILL HAVE TO EXIT FROM THIS "MUKH DARSHAN" ENTRY DOOR AND GO AND STAND IN THE DARSHAN QUEUE IF HE WANTS TO DO SO. DARSHAN WAITING HALLS. THE HALLS WHERE THE QUEUES LINE UP SPIRALING ACROSS THE STEEL BARRICADES HAVE WATER COOLERS AND ADEQUATE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE COMFORT OF THE DEVOTEES.ALSO, PRESENT ARE TELEVISION SETS FOR DEVOTEES TO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON INSIDE THE SANCTUM WHILE THEY WAIT IN QUEUES FOR HOURS. AND MOSTLY ALL THE TIME DEVOTEES ARE CHANTING BABA`S NAME WHILE WAITING WHICH TOO IS VERY DIVINE. DAKSHIN MUKHI HANUMAN TEMPLE. ( MARUTI MANDIR ) THE DAKSHIN MUKHI HANUMAN TEMPLE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY DEMOLISHED AND A NEW TEMPLE IS BEING CONSTRUCTED IN ITS PLACE. THE IDOLS OF HANUMAN & OTHER GODS HAVE BEEN TEMPORARILY SHIFTED TO THE GROUND FLOOR OF A BUILDING OPPOSITE IT, ADJOINING THE "SHREE CHAVADI". IT IS BEHIND THE SIGNBOARD OF SOME "ANAND GUEST HOUSE'. "SHREE CHAVADI" BABA`S "SHREE CHAVADI" HAS NOW BEEN DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS. THE LEFT PORTION IS "FOR LADIES" ONLY WHILE THE RIGHT HAND SIDE ONE IS "ONLY FOR GENTS" WHERE NO LADIES ARE ALLOWED AS WAS BEFORE, SINCE LONG. "SAIBABA MUSEUM" PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO VISIT THE "SAIBABA MUSEUM" JUST BESIDES THE DIXIT WADA. IT HAS MANY ITEMS WHICH WERE ACTUALLY USED BY BABA HIMSELF i.e, HIS UTENSILS, KAFNI, GRAMOPHONE RECORD`S & PLAYER, HIS CHILLUM, A BIG PALAQUIN WHICH WAS GIFTED TO BABA BUT NEVER USED BY HIM , ALL THE PALKHI PROCESSION THINGS, BABAS PADUKAS, HIS WHEAT GRINDING STONE, TWO POTS WITH WHICH HE COOKED & FED THE HUNGRY, THE COT ON WHICH BABA`S LAST BATHING TOOK PLACE AFTER HIS DEMISE, BABA`S ORIGINAL CHIMTA, THE EARTHEN WARE WITH HE USED TO ASK FOR FOOD etc. THIS MUSEUM IS SPREAD ON THE GROUND AS WELL AS THE FIRST FLOOR. LADU PRASAD. THE SWEET LADU PRASAD SALE COUNTER IS NOW LOCATED TO THE NORTHERN SIDE OF "SAI PRASAD" BUILDING NO.2 NEAR THE CAR PARKING. THE TIMINGS FOR THE SALE OF THESE LADU PRASAD IS 06:00Am TO 10:00Pm.(22:00Hrs) UDHI DISTRIBUTION ROOM. THE OLD UDHI DISTRIBUTION ROOM WHICH WAS BANG OPPOSITE THE MAIN ENTRY OF THE SAMADHI TEMPLE AND ADJOINING THE DONATION OFFICE IS NOW CONVERTED INTO AN "ANNOUNCEMENT SECTION" ROOM. THE NEW PRASAD / UDHI DISTRIBUTION ROOM IS NOW LOCATED RIGHT NEXT TO TATYA KOTE PATILS SAMADHI, OPPOSITE SOUTH GATE NO.4. THE TIMINGS FOR UDHI DISTRIBUTION ARE - 07:00Am To 11:30Am 13:00Pm To 18:00Pm 19:00Pm To 22:00Pm (AFTER DHOOP AARTI) THE LINE FOR TAKING UDHI ALSO GOES TO QUITE A STRETCH AND ONLY ONE SMALL PACKET OF UDHI IS GIVEN TO EACH DEVOTEE SO REFRAIN FROM ASKING FOR ANOTHER. NANDADEEP. DEVOTEES CAN MAKE WISHES & LIGHT CANDLES OR DIYAS IN FRONT OF NANDADEEP, ON THE GRILL FENCING OPPOSITE IT. AS, BABA TOO EVERY EVENING WOULD LIGHT A DIYA HERE. ALSO, THERE ARE TWO TREES - NEEM & PIPAL TREE, BESIDES THE PLACE WHERE BABA USED TO LIGHT A DIYA...ONE OF WHICH DUE ITS HEIGHT OR GROWTH, HAS BEEN CHOPPED OFF BY THE TRUNK ITSELF FROM THE TOP AND ALL THAT'S LEFT IS A HUGE LOG (TREE TRUNK) WHICH WILL BUT NATURALLY TAKE SOME TIME TO GROW BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL FORM. MY VIEW - WONDER WHAT HAVE THEY DONE WITH THE CHOPPED PORTION OF THE TREE AS, I THINK WE DEVOTEES WOULD HAVE TREASURED EVEN ONE LEAF OR TWIG OF BABA`S BLESSED TREE. SHOE STAND. THERE ARE SHOE STANDS JUST OUTSIDE THE TEMPLE WHERE ONE CAN KEEP THEIR FOOTWEAR FOR A VERY NOMINAL CHARGE, IN EXCHANGE FOR A TOKEN. BUT MANY DEVOTEES REMOVE THEIR FOOTWEAR INSIDE THE TEMPLE PREMISES ITSELF IN ANY CORNER OR BELOW SOME STRUCTURE. IT IS CONVENIENT BUT NOT CORRECT TO DO SO AS THESE PLACES ARE NOT MEANT TO PARK ONE`S FOOTWEAR, SO THEY MIGHT BE BRUSHED ASIDE BY ANYONE OR EVEN MIGHT GO MISSING FROM THERE. SO REMOVE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK INSIDE THE TEMPLE PREMISES. TELEVISION - LIVE DARSHAN. TELEVISION SETS TELECASTING LIVE IMAGES FROM THE SAMADHI SHRINE`S INNER SANCTUM & DWARKAMAI DIRECTLY, HAVE BEEN PUT IN THE ENTIRE TEMPLE PREMISES, INSIDE & OUTSIDE THE SAMADHI SHRINE ALSO, FOR DEVOTEES WHO CANNOT MAKE IT INSIDE ...AND BELIEVE ME WATCHING THE KAKAD AARTI ON THE TV SETS ESPECIALLY IN THE OPEN AIR THEATER IS MORE FUN AS YOU GET GOOD CLOSE UPS AND BETTER VIEW SITTING COMFORTABLY RATHER THAN FROM INSIDE WHERE DUE TO THE RUSH ONE HARDLY CAN GET A CLEAR VIEW OF BABA WHILE THE AARTI OR MANGAL SNAN GOES ON. OPEN AIR THEATRE. THE OPEN AIR THEATRE, IS A OPEN SPACE STANDING FROM WHERE DEVOTEES CAN HAVE A VIEW OF BABA`S SAMADHI IDOL THRU A WINDOW. ALSO, PRESENT HERE IS A TELEVISION SET FOR DEVOTEES TO ENJOY THE LIVE DARSHAN OF BABA WHILE ANY AARTI / PROGRAMME GOES ON INSIDE THE SAMADHI SANCTUM. THIS OPEN AIR THEATRE WAS ONCE A RAISED PLATFORM WITH A GARDEN & FOUNTAIN BEHIND IT, HAS NOW CHANGED TOO. THE RAISED PORTION HAS BEEN REMOVED LEAVING BEHIND A FLOOR LEVEL TILED GROUND MINUS THE GARDEN, FOUNTAIN & THE WATER FALLS. MY VIEW - THERE SHOULD BE A COUPLE OF BENCHES TO SIT IN THIS OPEN AIR THEATRE AS THIS IS THE ONLY OPEN SPACE IN THE TEMPLE PREMISES WHERE ONE CAN SIT BUT AS IT IS GROUND LEVEL SO A BIT DIFFICULT FOR AGED/SENIORS TO SIT DOWN. THAT`S WHY NOW ONE CAN FIND DEVOTEES SITTING ON THE TWO LONG STRETCH OF STAIRS IN THE GURUSTHAN AREA AND ALSO, OPPOSITE NEAR THE DIXIT WADA GIVING THE PLACE A VERY CROWDED LOOK. THE SMALL COVERING WALL OF THE TWO TREES OPPOSITE THE DONATION OFFICE ARE ALSO ALWAYS FULL OF DEVOTEES SITTING. SHOPS IN THE TEMPLE PREMISES. "SHREE SAI SANSTHAN EMPLOYEES CREDIT CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY LTD, SHIRDI" ( APPROVED BY SSST,SHIRDI) HAS A STALL INSIDE THE TEMPLE PREMISES FOR SELLING COLD DRINKS / ICE-CREAMS / MINERAL WATER / MASALA MILK / LASSI / PRASAD PEDHA / NAVGRAHA DHOOP ETC.AT VERY NOMINAL PRICES. IT IS SITUATED NEXT TO GATE NO.2 OUTSIDE THE DARSHAN QUEUE HALL. ALSO, THERE IS A SHOP NEAR THE THREE TEMPLES OF LORD GANESHA, LORD SHANIDEV & LORD MAHADEV. THIS SHOP SELLS SOME PRASAD & LOTS OF DIFFERENT POOJA ITEMS INCLUDING MUSTARD OIL FOR POURING IT ON LORD SHANIDEV. "SHREE SAI SATYAVRAT POOJA HALL". THE "SHREE SAI SATYAVRAT POOJA HALL" IS THE PLACE WHERE ON THE 1st FLOOR BABA`S ABHISHEK POOJA IS DONE BY DEVOTEES AND ON THE GROUND FLOOR DEVOTEES PERFORM THE "SATYANARAYAN POOJA" AFTER REGISTERING THEMSELVES FOR IT AT A VERY NOMINAL CHARGE OF Rs.101/- ONLY & IT`S TIMINGS ARE - THE ABHISHEK POOJA TIMINGS ARE AS : 1St Batch 7.00 am to 8.00am 2nd Batch 9.am to 10.00 am 3rd Batch 12.30pm to 1.30 pm "SAI COMPLEX" AT A PLACE, JUST BESIDES THE TEMPLE COMPLEX, THERE WAS A PRIMARY SCHOOL WHICH NOW HAS BEEN MOVED AWAY AND IN ITS PLACE "SWASTIK GROUP" IS COMING UP WITH AN COMMERCIAL COMPLEX CALLED "SAI COMPLEX" JUST 20 FEET FROM THE GATE OF SHIRDI SAIBABA TEMPLE STARTING FROM OPPOSITE GATE NO.2 STRETCHING RIGHT UP TO THE END OF THE DAKSHIN MUKHI HANUMAN TEMPLE OPPOSITE GATE NO.3. MY VIEW - "WE LOVE SHIRDI IN IT`S SIMPLICITY BUT SEEMS SOON SHIRDI WILL BECOME SIMPLY A CITY" !!! "MOBILE CLOAKROOM" BESIDES GATE NO.2 & IN THE LANE LEADING TO THE GATE NO.3 FROM THE PIMPALWADI ROAD IS "THE SHREE SAIBABA SANSTHAN TRUST MOBILE CLOAKROOM" WHERE DEVOTEES HAVE TO DEPOSIT THEIR MOBILES AT A NOMINAL CHARGE OF RS.2/- PER MOBILE. THEY GET A TOKEN IN RETURN AGAINST WHICH THEY CAN GET THEIR MOBILES BACK, AS MOBILES / CAMERAS ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE TEMPLE PREMISES. SAI-PRASADALAYA. THE FACILITY OF PRASAD BHOJAN OF THE "SHRI SAI PRASADALAYA" WHICH WAS SITUATED NEXT TO THE SAMADHI TEMPLE, HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY SHIFTED ON 08th JAN`2009, TO A NEW BUILDING CONSTRUCTED BY THE "SHRI SAIBABA SANSTHAN TRUST" & IS LOCATED AT - "SHRI SAI PRASADALAYA" BEHIND POLICE STATION, SHIRDI, NIMGAON SHIV ROAD, NIMGAON KORHALE, SHIRDI "DWARAVATI" BHAKT NIWAS. SHRI SAIBABA SANSTHAN, SHIRDI HAS BUILT A NEW BHAKT NIWAS CALLED "DWARAVATI" WHICH WAS INAUGURATED ON THE MAKAR-SANKRANTI - 14TH JAN`2009 BY SRI SRI RAVISHANKARJI. SHIRDI SANSTHAN HAS SPENT Rs.19 CRORES ON THIS "DWARAVATI" PROJECT WHICH CAN ACCOMMODATE 1600 DEVOTEES CONVENIENTLY. IT HAS 334 SELF-CONTAINED INDEPENDENT & WELL VENTILATED ROOMS, SPREAD OVER FOUR FLOORS AND PACKED WITH ALL THE BASIC AMENITIES. ON THE FOURTH FLOOR THERE ARE 80 ROOMS, ALL OF WHICH ARE AIR-CONDITIONED. THERE IS A LARGE WAITING ROOM FOR DEVOTEES ON THE GROUND FLOOR. THERE IS A BIG PARKING SPACE & BOARDING FACILITIES FOR DRIVERS TOO. "DWARAVATI" HAS FOUR LIFTS WHICH HAVE A CAPACITY OF CARRYING 10 PEOPLE AT A TIME. LATEST TECHNOLOGIES LIKE SOLAR WATER HEATER SYSTEM & RAIN WATER HARVESTING FACILITIES ARE ALSO IMPLEMENTED. "DWARAVATI" HAS A BIG GENERATOR FOR A 24 HOUR UN-INTERRUPTED SUPPLY OF ELECTRICITY FOR DEVOTEES RECREATION THERE IS A BIG GARDEN ON THE FRONT SIDE. CLOSE BY ONLY, IS THE "BHOJAN-SHALA" WHERE THE FOOD IS COOKED USING SOLAR HEATERS & SO, THE FOOD SERVED IS AT VERY NOMINAL RATES. ALSO, LIKE THE OTHER ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES PROVIDED BY THE SHIRDI SANSTHAN IN SHIRDI, THERE IS NO ADVANCE BOOKING FOR ROOMS AS ACCOMMODATION IS AVAILABLE ONLY ON FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. IT IS SITUATED ON THE MANMAD / NAGAR MAIN ROAD, NEAR THE "SHRI SAINATH HOSPITAL". MESSAGE BOARDS WITHIN THE TEMPLE PREMISES - DONATION BOXES AND WATER DRINKING FACILITIES ARE PLACED EVERYWHERE AROUND THE TEMPLE PREMISES. WHEELCHAIR`S ARE AVAILABLE FOR HANDICAPPED DEVOTEES...FOR WHICH ONE CAN CONTACT THE SANSTHAN`S P.R.O. NEAR GATE NO.1 AND NANDA-DEEP. FOR PRESERVATION OF BABA`S IDOL, MILK, ROSE-WATER, HONEY ETC IS NO MORE USED FOR THE SACRED BATH OF SAIBABA AS PER EXPERTS ADVICE. PLEASE HANDOVER FLOWERS, GARLANDS TO TEMPLE STAFF BEFORE OR IN THE SAMADHI SHRINE ITSELF. OFFERING OF GARLANDS, PRASAD, OR ANY OTHER ARTICLES SHOULD BE DONE BY DEVOTEES AFTER 07:00Am AND BEFORE SHEJ AARTI. HANDLING THE RUSH OF DEVOTEES - OWING TO THE HUGE RUSH OF DEVOTEES IN THE SAMADHI TEMPLE ESPECIALLY DURING KAKAD AARTI & BABAS MANGAL SNAN, TO ACCOMMODATE MORE & MORE DEVOTEES INSIDE THE TEMPLE SANCTUM DEVOTEES ARE NOW REQUESTED TO REMAIN STANDING THROUGH OUT WHILE THE AARTI / MANGAL SNAN GOES ON, AS STANDING OCCUPIES LESS SPACE THAN SITTING SO MORE DEVOTEES CAN BE PULLED INSIDE THE TEMPLE DURING AARTI ETC. INSIDE THE TEMPLES SANCTUM, GENTS SHOULD TRY TO STAND ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE BARRICADES WHILE IN A QUEUE WHILE THE LADIES SHOULD TRY TO STAND ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE BARRICADES WHILE IN THE QUEUE, SO AS TO GO AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO BABA`S IDOL DURING DARSHAN AND THEN MOVE OUT FROM THE REAR DOOR EXITING TOWARDS THE GURUSTHAN RATHER THAN STANDING TOWARDS THE AISLE AS THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO TAKE A "U" TURN AFTER DARSHAN & THEN FROM THE AISLE (CENTRE) PASSING THE NANDI`S IDOL, HE WILL HAVE TO EXIT FROM THE DOOR OPPOSITE THE PRESENT "ANNOUNCEMENT ROOM" WHICH WAS THE FORMER UDHI / PRASAD DISTRIBUTION ROOM. MY VIEW - AS FIRST STANDING FOR HOURS IN DARSHAN LINE QUEUE / SPIRALING DOWN A FEW HALLWAYS & THEN STANDING THROUGH OUT THE KAKAD ARTI & MANGAL SNAN, CAN BE VERY TIRING, MY PERSONAL ADVICE IS TO AVOID TAKING SMALL KIDS AND AGED PEOPLE WHO ARE UNABLE TO STAND FOR LONG PERIODS. EVEN BABA WOULD NEVER WANT THIS AS HE TOO COULD NEVER SEE HIS DEVOTEES BEAR PAIN FOR HIM. AS THERE ARE THREE OPENINGS FOR BOWING DOWN TO DO PRANAM ON BABA`S SAMADHI i.e., ONE FOR LADIES, ONE FOR GENTS AND ONE IN BETWEEN, DEVOTEES BOW DOWN AND TAKE TIME TO GET UP AND MOVE FORWARD THUS DELAYING OTHER DEVOTEES BEHIND, THEREFORE ON THURSDAYS, SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, OTHER FESTIVALS / OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAY SEASONS WHEN THERE IS A HUGE FLOW OF DEVOTEES IN SHIRDI, THE THREE OPENINGS ON BABA`S SAMADHI ARE ALSO ENCLOSED WITH GLASS SHIELDS, SO ONE CANNOT BOW DOWN OR TOUCH THE SAMADHI AND SO MOVES ON FASTER. BUT ONE CAN SURELY TOUCH THE OUTER SIDE OF BABA`S SAMADHI WHILE PASSING BY AS BABAS PRESENCE IS EVERYWHERE ! LIKEWISE, SOMETIMES THE DHUNI-MAA PORTION OF DWARKAMAYI, REMAINS CLOSED FOR DARSHAN SO THE DEVOTEES ENTER DWARKAMAYI AND HAVE DARSHAN OF DHUNI MAA AREA WITHOUT CLIMBING THE STEPS AND MOVE AHEAD TOWARDS THE SACRED STONE ON WHICH BABA SAT. THIS ALSO SPEEDS UP THE DARSHAN QUEUE WHICH NOW-A-DAYS GOES ALMOST ALL OUT TO THE MANMAD / NAGAR MAIN ROAD ! THE NEW GURUSTHAN, NANDA-DEEP ARE ALSO ENCLOSED IN STEEL BARRICADES TO SPEED UP THE HUGE RUSH OF DEVOTEES. THE TEMPLE GUARDS MIGHT SOUND RUDE WHILE ASKING YOU TO KEEP MOVING FORWARD IN THE DARSHAN LINE BUT REMEMBER THE THOUSANDS OF DEVOTEES WHO ARE STILL WAITING BEHIND YOU FOR THEIR TURN OF DARSHAN..AND THE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE / PATIENCE THE GUARDS HAVE TO KEEP UP WITH WHILE KEEPING THE FLOW OF DARSHAN GOING SMOOTHLY FOR HOURS & HOURS. MY VIEW - EVEN THOUGH ANY AARTI OR BABAS MANGAL SNAN IS GOING ON,THE QUEUES OF DEVOTEES SHOULD BE KEPT MOVING FORWARD CONSTANTLY FOR DARSHAN & THEN MOVE OUT SO THAT THE WAITING TIME IN THE LONG QUEUES GETS REDUCED AND MORE PEOPLE GET A CHANCE TO HAVE DARSHAN SOONER THAN BEFORE. AND THEN, THE TIME MADE UP IN KEEPING THE QUEUE MOVING ON CAN BE UTILISED BY ALLOWING DEVOTEES TO BOW THEIR HEADS ON THE SAMADHI FOR SOME TIME WHICH AT PRESENT IS ACTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE. HOLY TIPS ON KAKAD AARTI & MANGAL SNAN - THE HOLY BATH OF BABA NOW ONLY LASTS FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES WITH A BUCKET OR TWO OF HOLY WATER ON THE SAMADHI FIRST FOLLOWED BY A BUCKET ON BABA`S IDOL. THAT'S IT...AND AS SOON AS THIS GETS DONE...DEVOTEES ARE ASKED TO START MOVING AHEAD FOR DARSHAN, EVEN WHILE BABA`S IDOL IS BEING PAT DRY...SO MAKE SURE AS YOU REACH NEAR THE SAMADHI, FEEL THE WATER OF BABA`S MANGAL SNAN FROM THE TOP OF THE SAMADHI OR THE GROUND NEAR IT WHERE SOME WATER USUALLY SPILLS WHILE THE HOLY BATH IS ON. MY VIEW - FOR THIS ALWAYS LADIES & GENTS WHILE IN QUEUE INSIDE THE TEMPLE SANCTUM SHOULD TRY AND STAND ON THEIR RIGHT AND LEFT RESPECTIVELY SO AS TO REACH THE SIDES OF BABA`S SAMADHI AND GET A CHANCE TO TOUCH THE HOLY WATER OF BABA`S MANGAL SNAN WHICH USUALLY FALLS DOWN ON THE SIDES WHILE THE SNAN GOES ON. NOW FOR A VERY BLESSED TIP...WANT TO TAKE A SIP OF BABAS MANGAL SNAN`S (HOLY BATH) WATER...THEN READ ON... IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT INSIDE THE TEMPLE FOR THE KAKAD AARTI & BABA`S MANGAL SNAN OR IF YOU DO MAKE IT INSIDE THE SAMADHI SHRINE FOR KAKAD AARTI BUT ARE PUSHED OUT SOONER THAN YOU THINK, DON'T WORRY AS IT MAY BE A BLESSING IN DISGUISE ! AS JUST BESIDES THE OPEN AIR THEATRE ( TO THE EAST OF DIXIT WADA ) AND JUST OPPOSITE THE REAR EXIT OF THE SAMADHI TEMPLE, ALSO KNOWN AS THE GURUSTHAN EXIT IS AN EMPTY WATER COOLER WHERE THE BLESSED WATER AFTER BABA`S MANGAL SNAN IS POURED IN, FOR THE DEVOTEES TO DRINK. NOT MANY GET A CHANCE TO HAVE A SIP OF THIS BLESSED WATER ALSO, AS BY THE TIME DEVOTEES START COMING OUT AFTER DARSHAN THIS HOLY WATER IS ALREADY OVER. SO, THE SOONER YOU CAN MAKE IT TO THIS COOLER, BETTER IT WOULD BE, AS YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE A SIP OR TWO OF THIS BLESSED WATER. BUT MAKE SURE THIS HOLY WATER IS NOT SPILLED DOWN AS MOST OF IT USUALLY DOES BECAUSE MANY DEVOTEES JUST PICK THIS COOLER UP AND TILT IT DOWN SO AS TO FILL THEIR BOTTLES ETC BUT IN DOING SO MOST OF THIS HOLY WATER SPILLS & IS WASTED & OTHER DEVOTEES ARE LEFT BEHIND FROM A CHANCE OF GETTING A SIP OF THIS WATER ALSO. ALSO, JUST AFTER THE KAKAD AARTI IS OVER THERE IS PRASAD MADE OF WHITE BUTTER MIXED WITH SUGAR BEING DISTRIBUTED AT THE PRASAD / UDHI DISTRIBUTION ROOM LOCATED RIGHT NEXT TO TATYA KOTE PATILS SAMADHI, OPPOSITE SOUTH GATE NO.4. SO MAKE SURE, YOU MAKE IT HERE ALSO, AFTER DRINKING THE HOLY WATER OF BABA`S BATH. THIS WHITE BUTTER PRASAD LIKE THE HOLY WATER OF BABA`S BATH IS ALSO VERY LIMITED SO ONLY THE FIRST LUCKY FEW DEVOTEES MAKE IT HERE. HOLY TIP ON DWARKAMAI. WHEN ONE GOES FOR DARSHAN TO DWARKAMAI, DO NOT FORGET TO HAVE THE BLESSED TEERTH (WATER) FROM THE BLACK COLORED EARTHEN POT KEPT ON A HIGH STAND. THIS POT HAS NO TAP SO WHAT ONE HAS TO DO IS TO USE THE BIG SPOON KEPT ON TOP OF THE POT TO TAKE SOME TEERTHA AND DRINK IT. ONE HAS TO HAVE THIS TEERTH HIMSELF AS NO ONE SERVE`S IT OVER HERE SO, NOT MANY PEOPLE ARE AWARE ABOUT IT SO GO AWAY WITHOUT HAVING A SIP. BABAS DEVOTEES HOUSES IN SHIRDI VILLAGE GUIDE MAP. LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST - DO NOT FORGET TO GO THE SHIRDI VILLAGE AND VISIT BAIJAMAA`S HOUSE, LAXMIBAI`S HOUSE & HER SAMADHI WHICH IS JUST OUTSIDE OF HER HOUSE, SHYAMAS HOUSE, ABDUL BABAS KUTI & MAHALSAPATIS HOUSE WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE PADUKAS / 3 COINS / SATKA GIVEN BY TO MAHALSAPATI BY BABA HIMSELF....ALL ARE JUST A FEW STEPS STRAIGHT AHEAD OF DWARKAMAI. ALSO, DO NOT FORGET TO SEE THE 5 BLESSED HOUSES THAT BABA TOOK BHIKSHA FROM. WHAT ONE CAN DO, IS TO ASK ANY LOCAL PEOPLE / KIDS THERE TO GUIDE THEM AND THEY WILL MORE THAN HAPPY TO DO SO ...THAT'S IT...IN A FEW MINUTES THEY WILL SHOW YOU ALL THE HOUSES, THE NINE COINS GIVEN BY SAIBABA TO LAXMIBAI, THE PLACE WHERE BABA`S SOUL LEFT HIS BODY FOR 3 DAYS, THE SHOP OF THE MAN WHO HAD REFUSED TO GIVE BABA OIL TO BURN DIYA'S IN DIWALI etc etc. THEY ALL ARE CLOSE TO EACH OTHER...JUST WALK STRAIGHT IN THE LANE BANG OPPOSITE THE DWARKAMAI ENTRANCE. TRY NOT TO VISIT THESE HOUSES IN THE MORNING AS THEY ARE USUALLY CLOSED AT THAT TIME...KEEP THIS VISIT IN THE LATTER PART OF THE DAY. ALSO, FEEL FREE TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS HERE, AS PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE MAIN TEMPLE PREMISES BUT OUTSIDE IN THE SHIRDI VILLAGE YOU CAN ACTUALLY TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS... (BUT THE DO NOT FORGET TO SHARE IT WITH US ALL Hmmm !!!) "KHANDOBA TEMPLE" ONCE YOU FINISH OFF WITHIN & AROUND THE TEMPLE PREMISES DO NOT FORGET TO HAVE DARSHAN OF LORD KHANDOBA AT THE KHANDOBA TEMPLE, JUST CLOSE BY NEAR THE "SHRI SAINATH HOSPITAL" ON THE MAIN ROAD ITSELF. IT HAS THE IDOLS OF LORD KHANDOBA , BANAI & MHALSAI. Source - Personal Visit to Shirdi / Info on Temple Premises Sign Boards / Conversation with Temple Guards. CANDLES - PLACE IN NANDADEEP WHERE DEVOTEES CAN MAKE WISHES & LIGHT CANDLES. MAIN GATE NO.1 ON THE WEST SIDE IS "GATE NO.1" ON THE MANMAD / NAGAR MAIN ROAD AND IS USED ONLY AS AN ENTRY GATE INTO THE TEMPLE PREMISES AND OR FOR BABA`S MUKH DARSHAN i.e., DARSHAN OF BABA`S FACE FROM A DISTANCE ( FROM, NEAR THE RAISED PLATFORM BEHIND IN THE TEMPLES SANCTUM). AFTER, ENTERING THRU GATE NO.1, ONE CAN FREELY ROAM IN THE TEMPLE PREMISES i.e, CAN TAKE UDHI, SEE ABDUL BABA`S / TATYAS & NANAVALIS SAMADHI, SAIBABA`S MUSEUM AND CAN GO STRAIGHT UP TO DWARKAMAI BUT CANNOT GO TO LENDI BAGH OR BABA`S WELL. THIS GATE NO.1 IS OPPOSITE THE TEMPLES P.R.O OFFICE AND BESIDES NANDA-DEEP. ONE CANNOT MAKE AN EXIT FROM THIS GATE. MAIN GATE NO.2 ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE TEMPLE, ON THE PIMPALWADI ROAD, IS MAIN GATE NO.2 WHICH WAS EARLIER USED AS AN ENTRY & EXIT GATE BUT AT PRESENT IS CLOSED & NOT IN USE. INSTEAD, JUST BESIDES IT ON THE PIMPALWADI ROAD ITSELF IS THE ENTRY GATE FOR ALL DEVOTEES WITHOUT ANY PASSES. THIS ENTRY TAKES ONE DIRECTLY INTO THE FIRST WAITING HALL FROM WHERE THE DARSHAN QUEUES, AFTER MOVING ALONG THROUGH SPIRALING LONG STRETCH OF STEEL BARRICADED HALLS & BY STAIRS UP & DOWN, FINALLY LEADS UPTO THE SAMADHI OF BABA. MAIN GATE NO.3 ON THE EAST SIDE, IN THE LANE GOING INSIDE FROM THE PIMPALWADI ROAD IS "GATE NO.3" WHICH IS USED MAINLY FOR EXIT OUT OF THE TEMPLE PREMISES TOWARDS DAKSHIN MUKHI HANUMAN TEMPLE & BABA`S SHRI CHAVADI. IF ONE ENTERS THROUGH THIS GATE, ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE COMES THE "MUKH DARSHAN" ENTRY WHILE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE IS AN ENTRANCE USED FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS SPECIAL ENTRY DURING PEAK PERIODS. THIS GATE IS ALSO USED AS AN ENTRY FOR SENIOR CITIZENS / PHYSICALLY DISABLED & AGED DEVOTEES WHO ARE UNABLE TO WALK. LUCKY TIP - ONE NORMAL ADULT IS ALLOWED TO ESCORT THEIR AGED / HANDICAPPED DEPENDENT FAMILY MEMBER BY THIS GATE & A DEPENDENT KID CAN ALSO GO ALONG IF HE / SHE HAS NO ONE ELSE TO ACCOMPANY HIM / HER. IF LUCKY ENOUGH, THEN N.R.I & FOREIGN NATIONALS CAN TOO MAKE AN ENTRY BY THIS GATE IF THEY SHOW THE GUARDS THE PROOF OF THEIR NATIONALITY OR NRI STATUS i.e., PASSPORT COPIES etc MAIN GATE NO.4 ON THE SOUTH SIDE IS "GATE NO.4" WHICH IS MAINLY USED FOR SOUTH EXIT OUT OF THE TEMPLE PREMISES. TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THIS EXIT THERE ARE SHOPS WHICH LEAD UP TO DWARKAMAI WHEREAS THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THIS EXIT THERE ARE SHOPS WHICH LEAD UP TO THE MANMAD / NAGAR MAIN ROAD. THIS GATE NO.4 IS ALSO USED AS AN ENTRY, WITH A STEEL BARRICADED PASSAGE SEPARATING LENDI BAGH AND NANDADEEP IN SUCH A MANNER THAT IF DEVOTEES ENTER BY THIS GATE THEN THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY MOVE TOWARDS LENDI BAGH, BABAS WELL AND THEN STRAIGHT OUT OF THE TEMPLE PREMISES TO THE MANMAD / NAGAR MAIN ROAD. SO, IF FROM LENDI BAGH IF ONE WANTS TO GO TO NANDADEEP, THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO GO STRAIGHT OUT OF THE TEMPLE PREMISES AND THEN AGAIN ENTER THE TEMPLE FROM GATE NO.1 FOR NANDADEEP. THIS GATE NO.4 IS BANG OPPOSITE THE SAMADHIS OF NANAVALI / ABDUL BABA / & TATYA PATIL. "DARSHAN PASSES" DURING OFF-PEAK PERIODS. AT NORMAL TIMES, WHEN THERE IS NOT MUCH RUSH OF DEVOTEES IN THE TEMPLE... THE N.R.I`s / FOREIGN NATIONALS & THE V.I.P`s CAN APPROACH THE P.R.O. OFFICE DIRECTLY TO ARRANGE FOR THE DARSHAN PASSES FOR WHICH THEY WILL HAVE TO SHOW THE ORIGINAL OR COPIES OF THE PROOF OF THEIR NATIONALITY i.e, PASSPORT / GREEN CARD OR ANY OTHER PROOF OF RESIDENCE TO THE SANSTHAN'S P.R.O OFFICER (FOR SAFETY REASONS THEY SHOULD CARRY COPIES OF THEIR ORIGINAL PROOF OF RESIDENCE DOCUMENTS). WHEREAS, THE V.I.P`s WILL HAVE TO SHOW A REQUEST FOR DARSHAN PASSES LETTER FROM ANY GOVERNMENT OF INDIA AUTHORITY OR ANY HIGH RANKING INDIAN OFFICIAL etc. DURING OFF PEAK PERIODS, NORMALLY, THE N.R.I`s / FOREIGN NATIONALS TOGETHER WITH THE SENIOR CITIZENS / AGED / DISABLED ARE ALLOWED ENTRY DIRECTLY INTO THE SAMADHI SHRINE BY THE SPECIAL GATE BANG OPPOSITE THE FORMER UDHI DISTRIBUTION ROOM (MARKED AS "R" IN THE ABOVE TEMPLE MAP) . WHILE THE V.I.P`s HAVE TO ENTER BY THE REAR EXIT DOOR OF THE SAMADHI SHRINE (MARKED AS "W" IN THE ABOVE TEMPLE MAP) IF THE V.I.P IS A SENIOR / DISABLED THEN EVEN HE /SHE CAN GO FOR DARSHAN WITH THE OTHER SENIOR CITIZENS FROM THE SENIOR CITIZENS ENTRY GATE. ALSO, APART FOR DARSHAN PASSES, ONE CAN CONTACT THE SANSTHAN P.R.O. OFFICE FOR ANY GUIDANCE AND OTHER INFORMATION TOO. DURING PEAK PERIODS. WHEN THERE IS A HUGE INFLOW OF DEVOTEES IN THE TEMPLE.... DURING FESTIVALS & OCCASIONS / SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS / OTHER PEAK PERIODS NO DARSHAN PASSES ARE ISSUED WHAT-SO-EVER, DUE TO THE HEAVY RUSH OF DEVOTEES. SO, ONE WILL MOSTLY FIND THE DEPARTMENT WHICH ISSUES DARSHAN PASSES, IN THE P.R.O OFFICE, CLOSED. SO HOW DO THE N.R.I`s OR FOREIGN NATIONALS OR V.I.P`s GET AN ENTRY DURING PEAK PERIODS? WELL, THE TEMPLE GUARDS ARE QUITE UNDERSTANDING, SO IF THE N.R.I`s / FOREIGN NATIONALS SHOW THEM THEIR PROOF OF NATIONALITY, THEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE TEMPLE NOT DIRECTLY, BUT BY A SEPARATE ENTRANCE BY WHICH THEY WILL BE CUTTING OUT QUITE A LARGE PORTION OF THE DARSHAN QUEUE. THE V.I.P`s TOO CAN SHOW THE SPECIAL PASSES REQUEST LETTER OF ANY GOVERNMENT OF INDIA AUTHORITY / ANY HIGH RANKING INDIAN OFFICIAL etc TO THE TEMPLE GUARDS SO AS TO BE ALLOWED A SPECIAL ENTRY. P.S - THE ONUS LIES WITH THE GUARD TO ALLOW OR REJECT ANY DEVOTEES REQUEST FOR ENTRY THROUGH THE SPECIAL GATE. MOSTLY, THIS SPECIAL GATE FOR THEM IS THE GATE OPPOSITE THE THREE TEMPLES OF LORD SHANI / LORD GANESHA & LORD MAHADEV (MARKED AS "H" ABOVE IN THE TEMPLE MAP). HOWEVER, THIS GATE MAY DIFFER DEPENDING UPON THE DEVOTEES RUSH AT THAT GIVEN PERIOD. BUT IF THE N.R.I / FOREIGN NATIONAL OR THE V.I.P IS A SENIOR / AGED / HANDICAPPED THEN THEY ALSO DO NOT NEED ANY SPECIAL PASS AS THEY CAN ENTER THE TEMPLE BY THE SPECIAL ENTRY GATE MEANT FOR SENIOR CITIZENS (MARKED AS "K" ABOVE IN THE TEMPLE MAP). THIS GATE MAY ALSO DIFFER DEPENDING UPON THE DEVOTEES RUSH AT THAT GIVEN PERIOD. FOR DARSHAN PASSES / GUIDANCE ONE CAN CONTACT THE P.R.O OFFICE DIRECTLY : IN SHIRDI - Executive Officer, Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi Post. Shirdi 423 109 Tal. Rahata, Dist. Ahmednagar (Maharashtra) Phone : +91-2423-258500 ( I.V.R ) Fax No. Office:+91-2423-258870 & P.R.O.Office : +91-2423-258770 IN MUMBAI THEN - (AT PRESENT SHIRDI SANSTHAN`S MUMBAI BRANCH DOES NOT ISSUE DARSHAN PASSES BUT IN TIME TO COME, THEY MIGHT ALSO DO SO) Executive Officer, Shri Sai baba Sansthan Trust, (Shirdi) 'Sai Niketan', 804-8, Dr. Ambedkar Road, Dadar, Mumbai - 400014 Tel : +91- 22 - 24166556/ 24161293 Fax: +91- 22 - 24150798 DARSHAN PASSES PROCEDURE : ALL N.R.I`s / FOREIGN NATIONAL`s / VIP`s OR THE ONES REGISTERED FOR A PASS AT THE P.R.O OFFICE, CAN HAVE DARSHAN WITH SPECIAL PASSES ALSO CALLED THE V.I.P PASSES. THESE PASSES CAN BE OBTAINED FROM THE P.R.O.OFFICE IN THE SHIRDI TEMPLE PREMISES ITSELF FOR WHICH ONE HAS TO GO IN ADVANCE ( SOONER THE BETTER...ATLEAST A DAY IN ADVANCE ) & GET HIS / HER NAME REGISTERED FOR THE PASS WHILST SPECIFYING WHICH AARTI PASSES ARE NEEDED BY HIM / HER i.e, KAKAD AARTI, MADHYAN AARTI, DHOOP AARTI OR SHEJ AARTI. ALSO, TO BE SPECIFIED IN ADVANCE, IS THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS GOING TO ACCOMPANY HIM / HER ON THAT PASS, AS ACCORDINGLY ONLY THOSE NUMBER OF DEVOTEES WITH THAT MEMBER WILL BE GIVEN ENTRY FOR DARSHAN IN THE TEMPLE. ANY EXTRA MEMBER OF THE PASS HOLDER IS REFUSED ENTRY FOR DARSHAN, IF NOT REGISTERED BEFORE HAND AT THE P.R.O. THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS ACCOMPANYING ONE SINGLE PASS DIFFERS DEPENDING UPON THE RUSH BUT IS USUALLY BETWEEN 6-10 MAX. IF THE N.R.I.`s WANT TO ARRANGE FOR PASSES BEFORE THEY TOUCH DOWN IN INDIA, THEY CAN CONSULT THE SANSTHAN P.R.O.FOR THE PROCEDURE IF POSSIBLE OR THEY SHOULD HAVE SOME REPRESENTATIVE IN INDIA OR SHIRDI TO ARRANGE FOR THE SAME BEFORE HAND. P.S- THE P.R.O. IS NOT OPEN THE WHOLE DAY BUT HAS SPECIFIC TIMINGS, SO PLEASE ACCORDINGLY BE THERE TO ARRANGE FOR YOUR PASSES IN ADVANCE. MY WISH - THE SYSTEM OF ALL DARSHAN PASSES SHOULD BE ABOLISHED WHAT-SO-EVER AND BE IT POLITICIANS / ACTORS / V.I.P`s / N.R.I`s / FOREIGNERS ANYBODY SO TO SPEAK, LET EVERYONE STAND IN THE NORMAL QUEUE FOR DARSHAN...AS PASSES IS DISCRIMINATING BETWEEN SECTS OF PEOPLE...A THING WHICH BABA NEVER PREACHED. SO "DON`T GIVE PASSES BUT GIVE PREFERENCE" ALL PHYSICALLY DISABLED / TERMINALLY ILL / AGED & SENIOR CITIZENS SHOULD BE GIVEN FIRST PREFERENCE FOR DARSHAN. MY VIEW - KARMICALLY SPEAKING, THE PASS HOLDERS EAT AWAY SOME OF THEIR GOOD KARMAS BY ARRANGING A SMOOTH-n-EASY DARSHAN FOR THEMSELVES UP AGAINST THE OTHER DEVOTEES STANDING FOR HOURS IN QUEUE`S ONLY TO BE BACK-DROPPED DURING DARSHAN IN THE MAIN SANCTUM. SENIOR CITIZENS / AGED / PHYSICALLY DISABLED. ALL SENIOR CITIZENS / PHYSICALLY DISABLED & AGED DEVOTEES NOW DO NOT REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL PASSES FOR DARSHAN AS THEY ARE GIVEN DIRECT ENTRY TO THE TEMPLE FROM A SEPARATE GATE BY WHICH THEY CUT OUT THE LONG STANDING IN QUEUES. THIS SPECIAL ENTRY GATE FOR SENIORS / AGED DEVOTEES CHANGES DEPENDING UPON THE INFLOW OF DEVOTEES. IN NORMAL PERIODS, WHEN IT ISN`T MUCH CROWDED, THE SENIOR CITIZENS ARE ALLOWED DIRECTLY INSIDE THE MAIN TEMPLE BY THE ENTRY OPPOSITE THE FORMER UDHI DISTRIBUTION ROOM, NOW THE ANNOUNCEMENT ROOM. BUT DURING HOLIDAY SEASONS / FESTIVALS & OTHER PEAK TIMES WHEN A LARGE NUMBER OF DEVOTEES TURN UP FOR DARSHAN, THE ENTRY GATE FOR THE SENIOR / DISABLED DEVOTEES CHANGES TOO i.e, AT PRESENT IT IS A GATE JUST BENEATH THE WIDE GATE NO.3 STRUCTURE ITSELF AND OPPOSITE A BLACK COLORED GRANITE NOTICE BOARD. WHEN ONE ENTERS THROUGH GATE NO.3, ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE FALLS THE "MUKH DARSHAN" GATE & ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE WAS THE FORMER SHOE STAND AREA...AND JUST ADJACENT TO THIS FORMER SHOE STAND AREA IS THE SENIOR CITIZENS ENTRY GATE. DURING PEAK PERIODS,HOWEVER, EVEN AFTER GETTING A ENTRY FOR DARSHAN FROM THE SPECIAL ENTRY GATE, THE SENIOR CITIZENS / AGED HAVE YET TO WALK DOWN A FEW STAIRS WHERE THEY JOIN THE PASS HOLDERS & THE REST OF THE OTHER DEVOTEES, WITH WHOM THEY THEN CLIMB UP A FEW STAIRS TO FINALLY REACH BABA`S SAMADHI SANCTUM. AND THE QUEUE FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS DEVOTEES STARTS FROM JUST OUTSIDE THE SQUARE WINDOWS (FROM WHERE ONE CAN SEE THE DARSHAN QUEUE GOING DOWN-STAIRS) OPPOSITE THE DONATION OFFICE. IF THE SENIOR CITIZEN IS UNABLE TO GO ALONE DUE TO ANY DISABILITY OR ILLNESS OR IS ON WHEEL CHAIR THEN ANY ONE FAMILY MEMBER (YOUNG OR OLD) IS ALLOWED TO ACCOMPANY HIM /HER THROUGH THIS SENIOR CITIZENS GATE. AND, IF THIS RESULTS IN ANY DEPENDENT MINOR WHO IS WITH THEM TO BE LEFT ALONE, THEN THAT MINOR TOO IS ALLOWED TO GO WITH HIS / HER FAMILY THROUGH THIS ENTRY. BUT MIND YOU, THE GUARDS ARE QUITE SMART TO CATCH ANY SENIOR CITIZEN FAKING ANY DIFFICULTY TO WALK OR GO ALONE SO AS TO TAG ALONG A FAMILY MEMBER WITH THEM. MY WISH - IRRESPECTIVE OF THE SEASON / TIME AND THE AMOUNT OF DEVOTEE INFLOW, ALL SENIOR CITIZENS / AGED / PHYSICALLY DISABLED DEVOTEES SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO ENTER BY THE GATE BANG OPPOSITE THE ANNOUNCEMENT ROOM (FORMER UDHI ROOM) LIKE BEFORE.

  11. SAIRAM, Let me differ to my own views and share what i have learnt down through these years into spirituality...REGARDING MARRIAGE & SPIRITUALITY. Marriage is not an obstacle to moksha or any spiritual dharma or else many Lords/Saints would yet be on this worldly plane trying to attain moksha. First..the greatest yogi according to indian scriptures is Lord Shiva...who himself is married to Mata Parvati and has 2 kids- Lord Ganesha & Lord Kartikeye. So, the question about following Spirituality and avoiding your worldly duties does not arise at all. Even Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna were married. Many other saints too led a happy married life together with their spiritual life. Lord Rama,King Janak all were too married. You will have to comeback to fulfill any left over duties you were bound to complete. Second, Now as one has to fulfill his duties & responsibilities for which he has taken birth, and if one avoids it or if for some reason fails to fulfill his present lifetimes mission...he will Definitely take a RE-BIRTH and come back to this world to complete his present and previous pending responsibilities...so one may avoid getting married, like myself but if i am bound to united with someone, i will definitely be united...if not in this lifetime..then the next for sure...now you tell me who wants to come back again and again to this world...& that even to get married ? As long as you enjoy everything without being bonded by it...the Karmic significance is nullified ...and you are not re-born for it nor can Maya touch you then. Third, you cannot term marriage as Maya...as if so then all our relations are Maya too ! The food you eat, water you drink or the air you breathe is also all Maya then...now can you leave any of those to avoid Maya..., NO..you cannot right...so marriage is also a necessity , its one of the basics of life...You have to learn to live with Spirituality and the worldly Maya, hand in hand. Now how can one achieve that....its Simple...follow the doctrine of "NON-ATTACHMENT". You can live a luxurious life, Marry..go to discos etc etc but do it all without any attachment as attachments create Karmas for which one is Re-Born. Raja Janaka had all the luxuries in life, whcih he didnt abandon..but enjoyed every bit of it but yet remained non-atached. There are many such more examples of great saints who were married but yet Renunciates. So, if you see Baba everywhere and you know that Baba dwells in all and in all forms then how can you avoid anything in life...as then you will be avoiding Baba in some form or the other !!! Now that doesnt mean to adopt any or all vices in life as here the role of Discrimination arises...you have to discriminate as to what you consciousness guides you. Thats why, in many indian scriptures they say that one should have 'VIVEKA" & " VAIRAGYA"... thats Discrimination and Non-Attachment as explained above. So my brother, sit calmly with a relaxed mind and go in touch with your deep consciousness and contemplate/discriminate what is right or wrong and then carry it on with Non-attachment. CONTROL YOUR MIND WITH YOUR SOUL RATHER THAN YOURMIND CONTROLLING YOU WITH YOUR SOUL ITSELF !!! By discriminate i mean...to draw a line between what your Maya driven "MIND" tells you & what your Soul driven "Consciousnees" guides you. As there is a very very thin subtle line between ones Mind and Consciousness..thats why people often get confused as to whats right and whats wrong leading to wrong decisions in life. (Like Me)..we often take our minds advice as the correct one as mind is driven by Maya and it makes us do whats good for it and not for us...if it finds comfort in vices ..it will make you dive into it and if it feels to enjoy freedom and not to be tied down in any restrictions ..it will make you a LONER under the garb of being a celibate or not getting along with others or Fault finding in others and then avoiding them.... I have so much more to say...my god...that if i do and if you do read all of it...your marriage age might be over by the time you understand what i am trying to say haha..so i am signing off now....let me know if anything else Moral - PHYSICALLY ENJOY THE WORLD BUT CONSCIOUSLY BE A RENUNCIATE. SAIRAM, ROHIT BEHAL

  13. Miraculous Messages from Water How Water structure reflects our Consciousness by WellnessGoods.com From Dr. Masaru Emoto, says that human thoughts are directed at water before it is frozen, images of the resulting water crystals will be beautiful or ugly depending upon whether the thoughts were positive or negative. Emoto claims this can be achieved through prayer, music or by attaching written words to a container of water. Since 1999 Emoto has published several volumes of a work titled “Messages from Water”, which contains photographs of water crystals next to essays and "words of intent". After seeing water react to different environmental conditions, pollution and music, Mr. Emoto and colleagues decided to see how thoughts and words affected the formation of untreated, distilled, water crystals, using words typed onto paper by a word processor and taped on glass bottles overnight. The same procedure was performed using the names of deceased persons. The waters were then frozen and photographed. How the molecular structure of water is affected... From Mr. Emoto's work we are provided with factual evidence, that human vibrational energy, thoughts, words, ideas and music, affect the molecular structure of water, the very same water that comprises over seventy percent of a mature human body and covers the same amount of our planet. Water is the very source of all life on this planet, the quality and integrity are vitally important to all forms of life. The body is very much like a sponge and is composed of trillions of chambers called cells that hold liquid. The quality of our life is directly connected to the quality of our water. Water is a very malleable substance. Its physical shape easily adapts to whatever environment is present. But its physical appearance is not the only thing that changes, the molecular shape also changes. The energy or vibrations of the environment will change the molecular shape of water. In this sense water not only has the ability to visually reflect the environment but it also molecularly reflects the environment. Mr. Emoto has been visually documenting these molecular changes in water by means of his photographic techniques. He freezes droplets of water and then examines them under a dark field microscope that has photographic capabilities. His work clearly demonstrates the diversity of the molecular structure of water and the effect of the environment upon the structure of the water. Discover how each source has an effect on the visual photographed structure... Snow has been falling on the earth for more than a few million years. Each snowflake, as we have been told, has a very unique shape and structure. By freezing water and taking a photograph of the structure, as Mr. Emoto has done, you get incredible information about the water. Mr. Emoto has discovered many fascinating differences in the crystalline structures of water from many different sources and different conditions around the planet. Water from pristine mountain streams and springs show the beautifully formed geometric designs in their crystalline patterns. Polluted and toxic water from industrial and populated areas and stagnated water from water pipes and storage dams show definitively distorted and randomly formed crystalline structures. With the recent popularity in music therapy, Mr. Emoto decided to see what effects music has on the structuring of water. He placed distilled water between two speakers for several hours and then photographed the crystals that formed after the water was frozen. Energized water has had its molecules returned to their original life-giving, super moisturizing state. This allows maximum moisture absorption into the cells of your body, pets and plants; a major key to healing, and the maintenance of health and vitality. Dr. Emoto has revealed to the world the power of water's vibration. Take the next step and bring this transformation into your life and into your part of the world by naturally structuring your water. These photographs show the incredible reflections of water, as alive and highly responsive to all our Emotions & Thoughts. It is quite clear that water easily takes on the vibrations and energy of it's environment, whether toxic and polluted or naturally pristine. Water from clear mountain springs and streams has beautifully formed crystalline structures, while the crystals of polluted or stagnant water are deformed and distorted. • Distilled water exposed to classical music takes delicate, symmetrical crystalline shapes. • When the words "thank you" were taped to a bottle of distilled water, the frozen crystals had a similar shape to the crystals formed by water that had been exposed to Bach's "Goldberg Variations" - music composed out of gratitude to the man it was named for. • When Elvis Presley's "Heartbreak Hotel" was played to water, the resulting frozen crystals were split in two. • When water samples are bombarded with heavy metal music or labeled with negative words, or when negative thoughts and emotions are focused intentionally upon them, the water does not form crystals at all and displays chaotic, fragmented structures. • When water is treated with aromatic floral oils, the water crystals tend to mimic the shape of the original flower. Effect of "You Fool" labeled to a container of distilled water, interestingly, the pattern made by "You Fool" was almost identical to the pattern that emerged when heavy metal music was played. Masaru Emoto wonders in his book whether perhaps heavy metal musicians look upon people as fools. Another instructive set of pictures showed the amazing difference between the crystalline patterns evoked by the words "Let's do it" and the patterns produced by "Do it!" The "Let's do it" crystals were like beautiful snowflakes. The "Do it!" water did not crystallize at all. Messages in Water - The Spirit of Ma'at interviews Dr. Masaru Emoto by Reiko Myamoto Dewey REIKO: You mentioned in your book how you would type out words on a piece of paper and paste these written words onto a bottle, and see how the water reacted to the words -- what kind of crystals were formed from the words. From your research, are you able to discern whether the reaction of the water came from the vibration of the actual words that were pasted onto the bottles, or whether the intention of the person who was pasting the words onto the bottle influenced the experiment in any way? DR. EMOTO: This is one of the more difficult areas to clarify. However, from continuing these experiments we have come to the conclusion that the water is reacting to the actual words. For example, for our trip to Europe we tried using the words "thank you" and "you fool" in German. The people on our team who took the actual photographs of the water crystals did not understand the German for "you fool", and yet we were able to obtain exactly the same kind of results in the different crystal formations based on the words used. REIKO: Have you found that distance made any difference when people were praying over water? For example, if people in Japan were to pray over water in Russia, would this be different from people praying over water that is right in front of them? DR. EMOTO: We have only experimented once with that in the book. But from that experiment, distance did not seem to matter. The intention and prayers of the person still influenced the water. We have not yet tried further experiments from a long distance. However, my feeling is that distance would not make much of a difference. What would make a difference is the purity of intent of the person doing the praying. The higher the purity of intent, the less of a difference the distance itself would make. REIKO: Have you seen any difference between one person praying over water versus a whole group of people praying over water? DR. EMOTO: Since the water reflects the composite energy of what is being sent to it, the crystalline structure reflects the composite vibrations of the group. So one person praying reflects the energy or intention of that one person. In terms of how powerful the effect can be, if you have one person praying with a deep sense of clarity and purity, the crystalline structure will be clear and pure. And even though you may have a large group of people, if their intention as a group is not cohesive, you end up with an incohesive structure in the water. However, if everyone is united together, you will find a clear, beautiful crystal, like one created by the prayer of a single person of deep purity. In one of our experiments, we had some water on a table, and 17 participants all stood in a circle around a table holding hands. Then each of the participants spoke a beautiful word of their choice to the water. Words like unity, love, and friendship. We took before-and-after shots and were able to obtain some beautiful crystalline structures as a result of this. I have some slides that I will be showing of these crystals in my upcoming European tour. REIKO: Is the water influenced immediately, or is there a time lag? DR. EMOTO: In these cases we would freeze the water right away, so we could say that the water is changed instantaneously. REIKO: Have you ever tested other human body fluids, such as saliva, blood, urine etc? DR. EMOTO: Yes, we certainly have. However, fluids with other elements in them, like seawater, blood and urine, do not form crystals. However, we can dilute them with distilled water to something like 10 to the power of -12 or -20 or so. This dilutes the component of other elements in the fluid to the point where we can freeze the sample and obtain crystals. REIKO: If we could imbue water with the energy of various words, for example, with the word, "health", could we then use the water that has that vibration in it and use it to do things like grow food, water plants, etc? DR. EMOTO: We have not tried this, but some people who have read the book are experimenting with bottling tap water and taping words like "love" and "appreciation" on the bottle and using that water to water their plants, or to put cut flowers in. They are finding that their cut flowers are lasting much longer, and that the plants in the garden are much more radiant. REIKO: Once a certain vibration is introduced to the water, how long does the water "remember" that crystalline structure? DR. EMOTO: This will be different depending on the original structure of the water itself. Tap water will lose its memory quickly. We refer to the crystalline structure of water as "clusters." The smaller the clusters, the longer the water will retain its memory. If there is too much space between the clusters, other information could easily infiltrate this space, making it hard for the clusters to hold the integrity of the information. Other micro-organisms could also enter this space. A tight bonding structure is best for maintaining the integrity of information. REIKO: What kind of words would create smaller clusters and what kind of words would create larger clusters? DR. EMOTO: Slang words like "you fool" destroy clusters. You would not see any crystals in these cases. Negative phrases and words create large clusters or will not form clusters, and positive, beautiful words and phrases create small, tight clusters. REIKO: You say that some negatives do not form clusters, but we see from your photos that they do still form characteristic patterns. How would you classify these patterns? DR. EMOTO: Think of it in terms of vibration. It's easy to understand that language -- the spoken word -- has a vibration. Well, written words also have a vibration. Anything in existence has a vibration. If I were to draw a circle, the vibration of a circle would be created. Drawing a cross would create the vibration of a cross. So if I write the letters L O V E, then these letters put out the vibration of love. Water can be imprinted with these vibrations. Beautiful words have beautiful, clear vibrations. But negative words put out ugly, incoherent vibrations which do not form clusters. Language is not something artificial, but rather is something that exists naturally. I believe that language is created by nature. REIKO: Does that mean that every word has its own signature vibration or cluster that is unique to itself? DR. EMOTO: Yes. During our evolution, we learned what sounds were dangerous, what sounds were soothing and safe, and what sounds were pleasurable, and so on. We slowly learned about various vibrations of the laws of nature. We learned this through instinct and through experience. We accumulated this information over time. We started out with some simple sounds like "a" or "u" or "e," which evolved into more complex sounds like "love." And these positive words create "natural" crystalline structures -- which are all based on the hexagon. In fact, the structure of all evolution in nature, from an informational perspective, is based on the hexagon. The reason hexagons are formed has to do with the chemical reaction of the benzene ring. I believe that anything that lacks this basic hexagonal structure is out of accord with the laws of nature and holds a destructive vibration. So when we look at things that do not exist naturally -- things that have been created artificially -- many of them lack this hexagonal structure and so they have, I believe, a destructive vibration. This principle is what I think makes swearing and slang words destructive. These words are not in accordance with the laws of nature. So, for example, I think you would probably find higher rates of violent crime in areas where a lot of negative language is being used. Just as the Bible says, first there was the Word, and God created all of Creation from the Word. So words actually convert the vibrations of nature into sound. And each language is different. Japanese has its own set of vibrations that differs from American. Nature in America is different from nature in Japan. An American cedar is different from a Japanese cedar, so the vibrations coming from these words are different. In this way, nothing else holds the same vibrations as the word arigato. In Japanese, arigato means "thank you." But even when there is this mutual underlying meaning, arigato and thank youcreate different crystalline structures. Every word in every language is unique and exists only in that language. REIKO: Have you come across a particular word or phrase in your research that you have found to be most helpful in cleaning up the natural waters of the world? DR. EMOTO: Yes. There is a special combination that seems to be perfect for this, which is love plus the combination of thanks and appreciation reflected in the English word gratitude. Just one of these is not enough. Love needs to be based in gratitude, and gratitude needs to be based in love. These two words together create the most important vibration. And it is even more important that we understand the value of these words. For example, we know that water is described as H2O. If we were to look at love and gratitude as a pair, gratitude is the H and love is the O. Water is the basis that not only supports but also allows the existence of life. In my understanding of the concept of yin and yang, in the same way that there is one O and two Hs, we also need one part yang/love to two parts yin/gratitude, in order to come to a place of balance in the equation. Love is an active word and gratitude is passive. When you think of gratitude -- a combination of appreciation and thankfulness -- there is an apologetic quality. The Japanese word for gratitude is kan-sha, consisting of two Chinese characters: kan, which means feeling, andsha, apology. It's coming from a reverential space, taking a step or two back. I believe that love coming from this space is optimal love, and may even lead to an end to the wars and conflicts in the world. Kan-sha is inherent in the substance H2O -- an essential element for life. And so I believe that the people who are following a spiritual path are promoting peace for the planet and for other people. If we could only unite on this level of consciousness, then we will be there. REIKO: Do you believe that water itself is conscious and is reacting to the words? DR. EMOTO: I understand that many of your readers are people interested in spiritual matters, and I would like to answer this question from that perspective. I believe that prior to Adam and Eve water itself held the consciousness of God -- that God's intention was put into the medium of water, and that this was used in the creation of Earth and Nature. In other words, all of the information needed for God's Creation was reflected in the water. And then we -- Adam and Eve -- were placed on Earth to be the caretakers for this Creation of God. I believe that water held the consciousness of God until then, but that after the caretakers were placed on Earth, water became an empty vessel to mirror and reflect what was in the heart. It became a container to carry energy and information. Therefore, since this time, I think water has taken on the quality of simply reflecting the energies and thoughts that it is exposed to; that it no longer has its own consciousness. Water reflects the consciousness of the human race. REIKO: Would you tell us your philosophical thoughts about what you believe these water crystals really are? DR. EMOTO: After the book was published, I was wondering about this, and I came to the realization that these crystals are spirits. There are many parallels. When ice melts, the crystalline structure becomes an illusion. It's there -- and yet it's not there, because you can no longer see it. Similarly, when a person dies their body loses several grams of weight -- what some people think of this as the weight of the soul. But then we can often visually see them. I think that the soul has mass, and that it returns to water molecules. And because it has mass, it is affected by the gravitational pull of the earth. And so sometimes the soul cannot transition over to the other side. In Buddhism, we talk about attaining sattori, or reaching enlightenment. People who attain sattori do not become ghosts. They are able to achieve a certain stage of development at the soul level and return to God for a while before they move on to their next assignment. We traveled here to Earth on the water crystals of spheres of ice [Editor's Note: You will hear more about this amazing phenomenon in an upcoming issue of the Spirit of Ma'at on the subject of water.] Earth is not our native home. There was nothing here. So these souls can return to their native homes for awhile. That is sattori, or enlightenment. However, most people on the planet are not able to attain enlightenment. To reach enlightenment means to be able to completely let go of the ego and our worldly attachments. REIKO: So when a person dies, if they are unable to attain sattori at that time, their soul remains on this planet as water? DR. EMOTO: That is what I believe, yes. The Japanese character for spirit is a combination of the words "rain" and "soul." People who have seen ghosts report seeing them in water or in places where there is a lot of humidity. It's as if the imprint of the soul, which is in the form of water, suddenly takes form when surrounded by water or moisture -- much like a mirage. And so, looking at the pictures of the water crystals and the impact they are having, I came to the realization that these themselves are ghosts. Up until now, I had thought of ghosts as something to be frightened of, something that we could do nothing about. But watching these crystals, I realized that by simply projecting beautiful music and words onto them, the crystals or ghosts become beautiful. If that's the case, there's nothing to be frightened of. We need to let everybody know about this, and all use beautiful words and offer beautiful music, and create beauty in the environment. By receiving beautiful thoughts and feelings and words and music, our ancestral spirits get lighter and are now able to make the transition "home." When we consider this, we can see the importance of traditions like Obon [a Japanese summer tradition where ancestral spirits are invited back to spend time with the family, and the ancestors are taken care of and respected]. When we are alive, the human body is at approximately 36 degrees Celsius. This is the temperature of the fluids in the body. When we die, this goes to zero degrees Celsius. When we die and go to the other side, crossing the river, we are no longer able to move our bodies. But the crystalline structure of our soul emerges. It's like water. When water turns to ice, the crystalline structure becomes visible, but it also becomes immobile. So "crystal" equals "spirit." Conclusion - Sometimes, when we cannot see the immediate results of our prayers and affirmations, we think that we have failed. But, as we learn through Masaru Emoto's amazing photographs, that thought of failure itself becomes represented in the physical objects that surround us. We can begin to realize that even when immediate results are invisible to the unaided human eye, they are there. When we love our own bodies, they respond. When we send our love to the Earth, she responds. For our own bodies at birth are 70 percent water, and the percentage of water in our bodies remains high throughout life (depending upon weight and body type). Also, the earth's surface is 70 percent water. And now we have seen before our eyes the proof that water is far from inanimate, but is actually alive and responsive to our every thought and emotion. Perhaps, having seen this, we can begin to really understand the awesome power that we possess, through choosing our thoughts and intentions, to heal ourselves and the earth. If only we believe. 14. "YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT" A healthy body needs adequate alkaline reserves to neutralize the acidic levels in our body which are the main cause of all diseases & when the human body doesn’t get enough alkalinity from our diet it absorbs our alkaline reserves from our bones/skin/hair & other body organs thus weakening them resulting in hair fall/skin problems/joint pains/ from common cough/cold to cancer. An acidic balance will: decrease the body's ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients, decrease the energy production in the cells, decrease it's ability to repair damaged cells, decrease it's ability to detoxify heavy metals, make tumor cells thrive, and make it more susceptible to fatigue and illness for eg, Circulatory system: In excessive acid conditions, bacteria, fungi or viruses can attach themselves to the inner wall of the arteries. This can cause plaque to form, narrowing the artery and restricting blood flow, which in turn restricts the flow of oxygen and nutrients to tissues. Heart attack and even cancer can result. * Nervous system: When brain cells are too acidic they dysfunction and communication between brain cells and throughout the spinal cord is cut off, which can result in dysfunction in other body systems. In the nervous system insomnia, anxiety, depression, neurosis, psychosis and impaired memory can result from over acidity. THE EFFECTS OF AN ACIDIC BODY ARE: * Cardiovascular damage, including the constriction of blood vessels and the reduction of oxygen. * Weight gain, obesity and diabetes. * Bladder and kidney conditions, including kidney stones. * Immune deficiency. * Acceleration of free radical damage, possibly contributing to cancerous mutations. * Hormone concerns. * Premature aging. * Osteoporosis; weak, brittle bones, hip fractures and bone spurs. * Joint pain, aching muscles and lactic acid buildup. * Low energy and chronic fatigue. * Slow digestion and elimination. * Yeast/fungal overgrowth. Alkalinity creates. . . Sense of oneness & harmony Allows for friendly bacteria Healthy organs & glands Decreased body aches Diminished illness Relaxed behavior Mucous less body Cellular health Well-being Happiness Acidity creates. . . Irritability Depression Mucous build-up Auto intoxication Anxious behavior Increased diseases Cellular degradation Increases body aches Allows for bad bacteria Sense of separation & pain SO MAKE SURE NO MATTER WHAT YOU EAT…BALANCE IT WITH 80% ALKALINE AND 20% ACIDIC DIET REGIME. Alkaline minerals include calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, chromium, selenium, and iron. The most effective instant alkaline is Baking-soda...take a pinch of it when too acidic/headache/cold/sneezing/body aches etc or when needed with water. 15. USING/ WEARING LIGHT COLOURS IS BENEFICIAL FOR OUR AURA AS COMPARED TO DARK COLOURS. OUR AURA IS CONSTANTLY IN ACTION INTERACTING NOT ONLY WITH THE COSMIC AURA BUT ALSO WITH THE AURA OF OUR SURROUNDINGS ESPECIALLY THE PEOPLE AROUND US. WHEN ANY NEGATIVE ENERGY FLOWS INTO OUR AURA IT STAYS THERE FOR SOME TIME BEFORE IT ENTERS OUR PHYSICAL BODY AND HARM US IN ANY WAY...DISEASES,DEPRESSION,STRESS OR OUR LUCK TOO. NOW CONSIDERING THAT ONE USUALLY IS SURROUNDED MOSTLY BY PEOPLE HAVING MORE NEGATIVE ENERGY THAN US OR HAVING LESS POSTIVE ENERGY THAN US BECAUSE THEY EMIT NEGATIVE ENERGY THRU THEIR THOUGHTS OR ACTIONS,SO WHEN THEIR AURA INTERACTS WITH OURS CAN CAUSE A LOT OF DISTURBANCE IN ONES LIFE.AS THE RULE GOES THAT ENERGY ALWAYS FLOWS FROM HIGH TO LOW QUARTERS. SO, WEARING OR USING WHITE/LIGHT COLOURS IS BENEFICIAL AS THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO REFRAIN YOUR POSITIVE ENERGY FROM FLOWING OUTWARDS AWAY FROM YOUR AURA/BODY& ALSO DO NOT ATTRACT NEGATIVE ENERGY FLOWING OUTWARDS FROM OTHERS INTO YOUR AURA/BODY..THEREBY FORMING A PROTECTIVE SHIELD AROUND YOUR AURA...SO IN ALL KEEPS UR POSITIVE AND PROHIBITS OTHERS ENERGY'S FLOWING INTO YOUR AURA. WHEREAS BLACK/DARK COLOURS ATTRACT OTHERS ENERGY'S ( POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE ) INTO YOUR AURA AND ALSO ALLOWS YOUR POSITIVE ENERGY TO FLOW OUTWARDS... SO YOU MIGHT DEVELOP A LOT OF POSITIVE ENERGY AROUND YOU BY SPIRITUAL PRACTISES ETC BUT THEY CAN BE EASILY SUCKED AWAY BY OTHERS HAVING POSITIVE ENERGY LESS THAT YOU OR MORE NEGATIVE ENERGY. THUS DEPLETING YOUR POSITIVE AND INVITING NEGATIVE ENERGY. AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS NAZAR LAGNA - NOTHING BUT WHEN ONES TOO STRONG NEGATIVE ENERGY ( DUE TO JEALOUSY, ANGER OR ANY OTHER STRONGLY CHARGED EMOTIONS ) FLOWS FROM ONES AURA THRU THEIR SIGHT OR SPEECH INTO OUR AURA...IT CAUSES PROBLEMS FOR US AS OUR POSITIVE ENERGY IS AFFECTED..SO THEY SAY...NAZAR LAG GAYI HAI KISSI KI !! SO ALWAYS KEEP YOUR AURA CLEAN BY ADDING RAW SALT (PAHADI NAMAK) TO THE WATER YOU BATHE IN AS SALT HAS AURA CLEANSING PROPERTIES, BY SPIRITUAL PRACTISES, KEEPING POSITIVE ALWAYS AND LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE TOO....AS ALL THESE KEEP YOUR AURA STRONG ENOUGH. BURNING MUSTARD OIL DIYAS CLEANSES YOUR BOTTOM 3 CHAKRAS, BURNING SESAME OIL DIYAS CLEANSES TOP 4 CHAKRAS. BUT, BURNING GHEE DIYAS CLEANSES YOUR ALL 7 CHAKRAS. 16. "SARVE DEVAAH STHITA DEHE SARVA DEVAMAYEEHI GAOU" The above shloka means that all the deities dwell in the body of a cow. Therefore the cow itself is as holier, as the deities. The cow symbolizes the dharma itself. It is said to have stood steadily upon the earth with its four feet during the Satyug (world's first age of truth), upon three feet during the Tretayug (the second stage of less than perfection), upon two feet during the Dwaparyug (the third stage of dwindling and disappearing perfection) and only on one leg during Kaliyug (the fourth and current age of decadence) The name for cow in the Vedas is known asaghyna which means invioable. Another name is "ahi" which means not to be killed and another is "aditi" which means never to be cut into pieces. KAMADHENU MATA In Hindu mythology, Kamadhenu (Sanskrit: ???????, pronounced [kam?ðenu]) was a divine cow who was believed to be the mother of all cows. Like her daughter Nandini, she could grant any wish for the true seeker. Kamadhenu provided Vasishta with his needs for the sacrifices. Kamadhenu (kama-dhenu, 'wish-cow'), was a miraculous cow of plenty who could give her owner whatever he desired. The cow stands for prosperity—as does Lak?m? (see Lak?m?), the wife of Vi??u (see Vi??u). K?madhenu is especially associated with brahmans (see Brahmans) and their “wealth,” because she is the producer of the milk and the clarified butter, the offerings traditionally placed on the sacrificial fire. Kamadhenu, the sacred cow which grants all wishes and desires, is an integral part of Hindu mythology. This divine cow, which lives in swargalok (heaven), emerged from the ocean of milk (ksheerasagar) at the time of samudramanthan (the great churning of the ocean by the gods (suras) and gemons (asuras). It was presented to the seven sages by the Gods, and in course of time came into the possession of Sage Vasishta. Kamadhenu's complexion is like the white clouds. Every part of cow's body has a religious significance. Its four legs symbolize the four Vedas, and its teats the four Purusharthas. Its horns symbolize the gods, its face symbolize the sun and the moon, its shoulders Agni (the god of fire), and its legs the Himalayas Kamadhenu is also well-known through its other five forms: Nanda, Sunanda, Surabhi, Susheela and Sumana. Lord Krishna states in Srimad Bhagavad-Gita: chapter 10, verse 28 "dhenunam asmi kamadhuk dhenunam" "Among cows I am the wish fulfilling cow." "One who gives in charity a bull becomes famous even in Swarga."- The Mahabharata "One who donates a cow (or bull) becomes free from sin and achieves liberation for himself and 14 generations of his family members". - The Mahabharata “The cows are the mothers of all living beings and the givers of all earthly pleasures.” - Atharva Veda In this verse Lord Krishna reveals that among cows He is manifested as the kamadhuk meaning kamadhenu the original wish fulfilling cows known as the surabhi cows - Anusasana Parva of the Mahabharata by Krishna Dvaipayana Vyasa. The surabhi cow descended from the spiritual worlds. The direct descendants of the surabhi cows are the sacred cows from the continent India which are uniquely distinguished the same as the surabhi by the beautiful hump on their backs and the wonderfully soft folds of skin under their necks. Cows are the mothers of all creatures. Cows are verily the mothers of the 33 crores of demigods that administrate creation in the material existence throughout all the universes.Cows represent sacred acts themselves and without cows there can be no performance of any sacred act. One should never show disrepect for cows in any way nor should one feel any repugnance towards the urine and dung of a cow because these things are also pure. Cows are also fragrant. The wonderful scent of the amytis agallochum emantes from out of their sacred bodies. To teach by example, Sri Krishna and Lord Balram show us when They descend into this world, how important is to protect, love and serve Cows and Bulls. Krishna is known as Gopala (protector of the Cows) or Govinda (one who gives pleasure to the Cows). Lord Balram represents plowing the land for agriculture and therefore always carries a plow in His hand, whereas Krishna tends Cows and therefore carries a flute in His hand. Thus the two brothers represent krisi-raksha (protecting Bulls by engaging them in farming) and go-raksha (protecting the Cows). 10.5.20 Lord Krishna says in Srimad Bhagavatam, "I can be worshiped within the Cows by offerings of grass and other suitable grains and paraphernalia for the pleasure and health of the Cows, and one may worship Me within the Vaishnavas by offering loving friendship to them and honoring them in all respects." IMPORTANCE OF COW-URINE & COW-DUNG : COW URINE which has a unique place in Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine. Commenting on the chemistry of gau mutra, Cow urine is used to produce a whole range of ayurvedic drugs, especially to treat skin diseases like eczema. Besides, gau mutra is a well known disinfectant. Anti-septic property is also the attribute of cow dung or gobar which is mixed with clay to form a plastering medium for mud huts. It is a proven fact that mud huts plastered with gobar keeps insects and reptiles away. This is the reason why people in the countryside still store grain in huge earthen pots plastered with gobar and gau mutra to keep it free from insect manifestations. In Mahabharat era Nakul was known as the famous cow urine therapist. Indians believe that cow urine enhances holiness and purity when spread in courtyard and home. Makes there is need to refocus, in a creative enterprise, on cow as a source of health, wealth and happiness. Cow urine has wonderful properties. It is used in purification of many strong poisons, sub poisons, metals, and sub metals, ras, maharas, and astrologist stones. Poisonous materials become poison less within 3 to 7 days if purified with it according to the Indian method. Many useful elements have been found in Cow Urine. Some of them are as below : Urea -Urea is a major element found in urine and is the end product of protein metabolism. It is strong antibacterial agent. Uric acid -Uric acid is similar to Urea and has strong antibacterial properties. In addition it helps to control cancer-causing substances. Minerals- Minerals from urine can be very easily reabsorbed as compared to those derived from food. Urine probably contains more different types of minerals than those derived from food. Urine becomes turbid if left alone for a while This is because when enzyme present in urine dissolve urea and change it into ammonia then urine becomes strongly alkaline making it difficult to dissolve rich minerals. Therefore stale urine looks turbid This does not mean that it has decayed Urine with a higher ammonical disorder content when applied to the skin plays an important role in beautifying it. Bioactive substance and hormones Urokinase : Dissolves blood clots, helps in curing heart diseases and improves blood circulation. Epithelium growth factor : Helps, repair and regenerate damaged tissues and cells Colony stimulating factor : It is effective for cell division and multiplication. Growth hormone : Shows different bioactive effects such as promotion of protein production, cartilage growth, fat decomposition. Erythropoetine : Promotes production of red blood cells. Gonadotropins : Promotes normalization of menstrual cycle and sperm production Kallikrin: -Releases kallidin that expands peripheral veins and reduce blood pressure. Tripsyn inhibitor : Effective for prevention and healing of muscular tumor. Allantoine : Heals wounds and tumors. Anti-cancer substance : Anti-neoplaston, H-11 beta-iodole-acetic acid, directine, 3-methyl gloxal, etc. differ from chemotherapeutic drugs, which kill or injure all kinds of cells. They strongly prevent the multiplication of carcinogenic cells and return them to normal. Nitrogen - It is diuretic & stimulates kidney naturally. Sulphur -It increases intestinal peristalsis and purifies blood. Ammonia -It maintains integrity of body tissues and blood. Copper -It checks excessive deposition of fat. Iron -It maintains RBC counts in blood and stabilizes stamina. Phosphate -It has litlhotriptic action. Sodium -It purifies the blood and checks hyperacidity. Potassium -It is appetizer and climinatcs muscle fatigue. Magnese -It is antibacterial and prevents gas gangrene. Carbolic Acid -It is antibacterial and prevents gas gangrene. Calcium -It purifies blood & provide nutrition to bones; helps in coagulation of blood. Salts -Antibacterial, Prevents Comma, and kctoacidois. Vitamin A, B, C, D, E -They prevent excessive thirst, infuses vigour, and increase potency. Lactose Sugar -Gives strength to heart, checks excessive thirst and giddiness. Enzymes -Improve immunity, and promote the secretion of digestive juices. Water -Controles the body temperature maintains the fluidity of blood. Hippuric Acid -Excrete toxins through the urine. Creatinine -It is antibacterial. Swama Kshar -Antibacterial, improves immunity, and acts as an antidote. Some hormones presents in 8-month pregnant cow which are very good for health COW-DUNG - In Chapter 1 of the Skanda Purana, Shri Vishnu explains to Narada as to how to perform the Satyanarayana Puja - "The place of worship must be anointed with COW DUNG first & then decorated with Rangoli (colorful designs made with rice flour) of five colors, and a new cloth must be spread, there after only the Puja can be done." Other uses are : 1. Fuel - cow dung patties (gootte) for cooking 2. Fertilizer - composting makes it even more powerful 3. Heat source - cow dung is naturally hot -compost makes hotter put in glass house to heat glass house or run pipes thru it to get hot water. 3. Purifier - natural antiseptic qualities 4. Floor coating - used mixed with mud and water on floors in mud houses. Improves water absorption of mud. Prevents muddy puddles resulting from spilt water. 5. Mud brick additive - improves resistance to disintegration 6. Skin tonic - mixed with crushed neem leaves smeared on skin - good for boils and heat rash 7. Smoke producer - smoldering cow patties keep away mosquitoes. Can also make smoked paneer over such smoke & Ash - from patties used in cooking. 8. Pot cleaner - used dry absorbs oil and fat wet as a general cleaner 9. Brass polisher - tamarind removes oxidation - wet ashes polishes 10. Fertilizer - alkaline - cow dung ash is basically lime with a few other mineral mixed in 11. Mud additive - dries up slippery mud puddles 12. Mud brick additive - mud and lime (cow dung ashes) becomes like cement 13. Pond PH balancer - thrown into pond neutralizes acid. 14. Tooth polish 15. Seed protector - covering seeds in dung before planting helps to protect against pests. In Sri Caitanya Caritamrita adi lila, chapter 17 verse 166 Caitanya Mahaprabhu confirms: "go-ange yata loma tata sahasra vatsara go-vadhi raurava-madhye pace nirantar." Cow killers and cow eaters are condemned to rot in hell for as many thousands of years as there are for each hair on the body of every cow they eat from. Cows are superior to all yogis and ascetics and because of this liberated divine being perform their austerities in the company and presence of cows. When the surabhi cows first manifested from the aroma of ambrosial nectar they performed severe penance for 100,000 years for the purpose of acquiring the spiritual merit to be the foremost of all things needed for the performance of Vedic rituals and ceremonies; thus only from cow milk exclusively is sanctified ghee produced for the performance of Vedic rituals. Whatever is produced from any and all other types of milk is not authorised by Vedic scriptures and thus not being sanctioned by the Vedas can never be used in any Vedic rituals or ceremonies. At the conclusion of the surabhi cows austerities Brahma himself appeared before them and granted their wishes blessing them with the benediction that cows would eternally be the sustainers of all creatures. The various parts of the body of the cow in which the deities, the revered sages, the various elements, are believed to dwell are given as follows: 1) Two Horns of the Cow The Creator 'Brahma' 2) The Head of the Cow The Deity 'Indra' 3) Forehead of the Cow The Deity 'Agni 4) Collar of the Cow The Deity 'Yama' 5) Brain of the Cow The Deity 'Moon' 6) Upper Jaw of the Cow The Highest world Dyuloka 7) Lower Jaw of the Cow The Earth 8) The Tongue The Lightening 9) The Teeth The Deity 'Marut' 10) The Throat The 'Revatee' Constellation 11) The Shoulder The 'Kritka' Constellation 12) Bones of the Shoulder The Summer Season 13) All the Organs of the Cow The Deity 'Vaayu' 14) The Heaven The World to which cow, belongs 15) The BackBone The Deity 'Rudra' 16) In the Chest The Eagle 17) Is the Power & Strength Of the Cow The Space 18) Hunch of the Cow The Sage Vrihashpati 19) In the bones of the Chest The Stanza by the name of Vrihatee 20) The Back Angels & Fairies 21) Bones of the Ribs The Hostesses of the Angels & Fairies. 22) The Shoulders The Deity 'Varuna' and Friend 23) The Forelegs The Sage 'Tvashta & the sage 'Aryama' 24) The Hindlegs The Destroyer 'Lord Mahadeva' 25) The Backside of the Cow The wife of the Deity 'Indra' 26) The Tail The Deity 'Vaayu' 27) The Hairs of the Body The Sage 'Pawamana' 28) The Buttock The Caste 'Brahmin' & The caste'Kshatriya' 29) Lies in the Thighs The Strength of the Cow. 30) Bones of the Knees The Deity Sun and the Creator 31) The Calf of the Cow The Celestial Beings 'Gandharva' 32) In the Smaller Bones The Celestial Beings 'Apsara' 33) Hooves of the Cow The Mother of the Sun, God, 'Aditi' 34) In the Heart The Mind 35) In the Liver of the Cow The Intelligence 36) The Nerve By the Name Of 'Puritat' The Religious Vow 'Vrata' 37) The Belly The Hunger 38) In the Intestines Goddess Sarswati 39) In the internal part of the intestines The Mountains 40) In the Ovum The sorrow (Manyu) 41) In the sense Organs The Subjects & the People (Praja) 42) In the Ovary The River 43) In the Breasts The Deity 'Varuna' 44) In the cells of the Breasts which produce milk The Thundering clouds 45) In the Skin The 'All-Pervasive power' 46) In the hairs of the Body,Of the cow The Various Medicines 47) The Anus The heavenly & Celestial Beings 'Devagana' 48) In the Intestine The Man 49) In the Stomach The Celestial being 'Yaksha' 50) In the Kidney The Anger 51) In the Blood The Demon 'Rakshasha' 52) The Appearance of The Cow The Constellation are 53) In the Stomach The Other living beings 54) Is the Grossness The sky 55) In the Bone-Marrow The Death 56) Is Like Fire The Posture while sitting 57) Is the Deity 'Ashwinee Kumar The posture while getting up 58) The Deity 'Indra' The Posture while standing and facing East 59) The Lord of Death 'Yamaraja' The Posture while standing and facing South 60) The Creator 'Brahma' The Posture while standing and facing west 61) The Sun God The Posture while standing & facing North 62) The Deity Moon The Cow while Grazing 63) The Friend The Cow while looking 64) Pure Joy The Posture of the Cow while turning it back dOnt jUSt rEaD mE, fEEd mE... 17. SCIENTIFIC ANALYSIS OF "MANTRA" The scientific analysis of a Mantra is given below, as to how it attracts power when chanted by someone. Everything has a particular vibratory frequency. Every thought, every word and every emotion. How we feel, think and speak defines our particular vibration. And we create our world based upon that vibration. Sound is an incredibly powerful vibration. “Man” means mind, “tra” means wave or projections. Therefore mantra is the projection of the mind through sound vibrations. The basic structure of the universe is the atom, and the basic structure of our bodies is the cell; each cell is made of billions of atoms and each atom is made of a positive nucleus and negative electrons rotating around it; because of this rotation, an electromagnetic field is generated similar to fields generated by an engine. Every single atom is vibrating in a specific frequency, whether this atom is part of metal, water, cell, or anything else. So every thing in this universe is vibrating, this is a given scientific fact. A small pebble thrown in a pond creates numerous ripples reaching quite far, in the same pond itself. Same way, the words, which we pronounce, creates vibrations and waves in our mind, which awaken subtle powers in us. Thus the Effects of whatever Words we speak, falls on our self, our society, and even on the universe. Realizing this fact, that SOUND is the most powerful element; our ancient sages developed the science of Music or Sound (SHABDA) Therapy, called Bio-waves or “Mantra” and a collection of Mantras called a “STOTRA”, which being related to Ether (which is very subtle), becomes very powerful as the power of SUBTLE (SUKSHAMA) is greater than the GROSS (STHOOLA). When atoms are isolated, it creates great energy & become more powerful, although it is so small that it is impossible to see it, with our naked eyes, likewise when a person focuses on every single syllable and letter emanating from the Shabda Brahma (Mantra) or the nada (the vibration) it is said to have profound effects on the psyche as well as one’s physical self. Mantra or Stotras are those scientifically made sound combinations that affect our subtle Nerves – “SHAT CHAKRAS” and “POWER CENTRES” directly in such a way, that it awakens our 'powers', which otherwise lie dormant. As a result these Nerves become active and the person chanting is blessed with different powers (SIDDHI). In fact, (STOTRA SADHANA) is nothing else, but the Power of Sound. These Sanskrit Mantra letters contain both Emotions and Meanings. The permutation and combinations of these letters have the power to create wonders. Sound being the base of the Mantra, makes it very powerful. "When a Mantra is pronounced repeatedly, like a dynamo the Sound waves are transformed into electrical energy or vibrations & if coupled with deep emotions, becomes more powerful. These vibrations are in the shape of a Ring which rises up with great speed, through the medium of Ether, moving directly towards the presiding Deity of that Mantra. When it reaches its Deity, it combines with the power of that Deity before bouncing back along with the subtle but now manifold powers of that Deity back to re-enter the source of its origin which is the subtle body of the one chanting the Mantra. The Stronger the Faith, Will-power and Emotion attached with the Mantra, the Stronger will be the attraction of the powers of the Deity. It’s like a Dynamo effect, the more who keep repeating a Mantra continuously the more you get charged up with Divinity .This phenomenon is so subtle & so fast that the person chanting the Mantra does not even realize it as these sound waves or vibrations moving in the air in about 340m/sec have their own frequency while humans can hear only from 20 frequencies per second to 20000 frequencies per second & not outside of this range." On the physically level the science of Sound works with the movement of the tongue in the mouth. The hard upper palate forms the roof of the mouth where there are 84 meridian points located. While pronouncing the Mantra, the movement of the tongue stimulates these meridian points which in turn stimulate the hypothalamus to secrete neurotransmission fluids. As these different chemical liquids are secreted to different parts of the brain, messages are transmitted throughout as well. Simultaneously, these Mantra sound vibrations are also received by the ear & are turned into electrical signals which move along the acoustic nerve towards the acoustic bark in the Brain, whose cells then correspond to these waves and move into the various parts of the brain especially the frontal part. All these parts work together corresponding to the signals and translating them to a language the human understands. And as, as our body is made up of at least 70 per cent water, our bodies become an excellent conductor of sound vibrations thus every cell in our body acts as a sound resonator. So finally, the brain analyses these signals and gives orders to the various parts of the body to correspond to these signals. The signs of this charged Mantra, re-entering the subtle body of the person chanting it, are in the different types of Vibrations or Emotions that can move one to tears, lift his spirits up, bring back beautiful memories, make him deliriously happy, or rouse violent emotions, sensations of energy flowing from the head to the base or goose bumps too. The mantra may be chanted out aloud, or repeated silently, or resonated in the mind (Japa) and should be recited from the base of the stomach which represents the seat of a person’s dormant power. There is a lot of hidden shakti here. It produces subtle vibrations in the fine nerves of the brain, thereby empowering the brain’s 108 centers and quelling their inactivity. If Mantras are pronounced correctly, following the rules and regulations, given in the Scriptures it can undoubtedly cure many a diseases. So, the Success of the Mantra lies in its correct pronunciation. Unless the pronunciation is correct, it does not have the desirable effects on our Nerves. JAPA and DHYANA, are similar to NAADA (Sound) and BINDU SAADHANA (Concentration on a point), which can pierce the greater or the subtlest particle. EXAMPLES - The “Gayatri Mantra” GAYATRI MANTRA when repeatedly chanted, creates ring shaped sound waves which rises up with great speed, through Ether and goes towards the Sun, and after touching the surface of the SUN, it returns back along with the subtle powers of the Sun, like Heat, Light, Electrical etc. Thus the Mantra combined with all these powers of the Sun re-enters the subtle body of the one chanting it. Who, therefore is regarded blessed by Gayatri Mata. POWER OF MANTRA Tansen the famous court-musician of Emperor Akbar, could make the clouds pour down by singing the Raga MEGH MALHAAR, and could lit the lamps by singing RAGA DEEPAK. POWER OF SOUND VIBRATIONS Two scientists by the name of GRAHAM and NEIL did a experiment in a crowded street, in Australia's Melbourne city. The experiment was done to show the 'POWERS OF SOUND'. The medium of the experiment was a Motor-Car. They wanted to move the car, according to their commands. The car followed their command when they said 'START' and again when they commanded 'GO', the car started moving and stopped when they said 'HALT'. People thought it to be a magic, which in reality, it was not. It was merely an experiment, which showed the 'Power of Sound'. But how did it happen? Graham had a Transmitter in his hands; the function of the Transmitter was to convert the command into a fixed frequency of electrical power, and send it to the control unit, which was fitted in the dashboard of the car. Another device named 'CAR RADIO' was fitted in front of the Control-unit. When the electro-magnetic frequencies transmitted by the Transmitter, dashed against 'CAR RADIO' the cars engine started and even began to move, and ultimately stopped. The source of all these happenings was the 'SOUND WAVES'. The causes and effects of the 'MANTRAS' and 'STOTRAS' could not be analyzed till date, because they are based on Ultrasonic Sounds, which, we can neither see, nor hear. But if these are pronounced with clarity and emotion, than it can do wonders. "In a Disco, your Mind makes you Dance, In a Satsang, you Make your Mind to Dance." sO which dO yOu preFer ?
