Your best bet would be to telephone the nearest matha of your mission, and request to the TP to have these threads made in exchange for some reasonable donation. Otherwise your only options are India, or buying three six-stringed brahmin threads, seperate them into six 3-stringed brahmin threads, then combine them into 2 nine-stringed brahmin threads. If you don't know how to do this, you should start to learn this ASAP.

It wasn't my intention to make an "attack" on the US, I am merely questioning my birth country's international priorities, which affect everybody living here. The actions of the Sudan govt are deplorable, this goes without saying. The Muslim world's silence is also reprehensible. The USA is the only one with the military might to take a decisive stand against these demons, yet they only seem to intervene in situations where there is something impressive to gain. If they come out and say it this is their proprity, then it's no problem, but instead there is this sanctimonious talk of stopping dictators (which they supported 20 years ago, even with knowledge of their active chemical weapons) and terrorists (the occupation only seemed to increase Al Qaeda support in Iraq), when there are much worse activities going on in the Sudan.

I've known about this since the 1990's. It never makes mainstream news, but is in several journals specializing in that region of the world, plus the 700 Club does a special on it sometimes, I am told (only watched that show once, myself). Bush wanted to pursue phantom Al-Qaeda and a dictatorship relatively tame compared to the horrors that have been going on in the Sudan for so many years, and people wonder why the USA's motives are questioned so many times.

Who told you pleasing Guru is not "all in all"? Krsna is most pleased when we serve His devotees. Start reading that book; try to get an actual printed version if you can, unless you don't mind staring at a screen for hours on end (I just have the books on my hard disk for reference and quotational purposes, I can't stand to stare and read a heavy book like this onscreen for more than 15-20 minutes).

I went from Bombay to Rajamundary via the Konark express, and it took 24 hours more or less. That's from one coast of the Indian subcontinent to the other. 16 hours from Puri to Kolkata sounds a bit long if you ask me. Were there a lot of stops? Did you have to transfer somewhere?

It's obvious that ISKCON is way too lenient on those who make a mockery of what Srila Prabhupad brought to us, while irrationally creating witchhunts for those elderly Vaishnavas outside of the ISKCON institution who selflessly gave their entire lives to Sri Sri Radha Govinda without fall.

My personal theory is before this type of technology can be developed (whether it's 20 years or 2000 years from now), wars, famine, fuel, and water shortages, will cause technology to regress.
