What would be the influences of Saturn when it passes over one's lagna (rashi, navamsa and dasamsa) and how different would it be from Saturn's transit over one's moon.Namaskar,
In my opinion, it will greatly depend on the position of the Saturn at the time of birth. The view is very general. For example if it is exalted compared to in its enemy's house (Scorpio for example), results would be different. Then, the house in which it is there at the time of birth. The lagna represents ones, physical strength to achieve something in the life (for example, efforts) where as Moon represents one's mind /thinking. Thus, the results will be based on these factors if taken in to account. I have seen the negative effects of sade sati are not as much as when saturn is in its exalted or in its own sign compared to other signs (again a general view without considering the house in which it is there).

Most days I do want to die. I am not suicidial, but I wish God would end this nightmare. And what is worse is I am realistic....I question the future and feel that nothing is going to really change until 2012...yet my husband has these unrealistic expectations that "soon, I will be well and can work and support myself". And I just do not even believe that is possible. And I try to tell him that it may not happen, and he cannot believe it. Because if that is true, then HIS life will also be awful until 2012.
I really do not know what to do. If I should change my thinking...or just accept my crappy fate. Or can my guru change it? Will She change it?

What I meant is that going to Ashram is for religious reasons for example to progress in spiritual life etc. if your liking is for something else then paying the negative karma one is postponing them and in time, one has to pass through them any way. There is then no choice.

It is interesting how I came to this conclusion. It is not only my experience but experience of several from years. One does not have to agree it only time and experience reveals it and one has to go through it to understand. Yes, in my opinion, when Jupiter comes, time may be better than this. Also, by end of this year, Jupiter will leave its debilition sign, you may try that time to best for your healing purpose.

Answer is one of the above. It requires lot of time and efforts to achieve this. An individual experience may not even be narrated accurately, one has to go through it to experience and even then it may not be same.

In my opinion, udh Maha dasa started last year. Budh is lord of 8th house (loss, death etc...) and placed with retrogade 12 th lord. Sun is with Kethu combinatio is not favourable for civil service. Moon amd Rahu combination in 8th house is not good for taking good or right decisions at right time. Mars is aspecting profession house lord Sun, mars is 6th lord. Thus, with lot of efforts will be requird to reduce some of these effects to clear civil service exams. House of learning lord is jupiter ans placed in 12th. You may like to do the following:
Offer surya dev water at Sun rise with some kumkum in it, recite Surya mantra.
Worship lord Ganesha and lord Shiva.
Wear a good unheated ruby in gold.
Married life: Some problems are indicated and will require adjustments on your part.

My life has been nothing short of misery.I am trying to figure out how to proceed. If I should just give up and proceed to an ashram for the rest of my life because there will be nothing but failure for me in the future. This is all I have known in the past. And even trying to get well is difficult. I have been unable to get the proper health care.
I have health problems that have kept me at home for nearly 5 years, but I have been sick my entire life. I am broke, and in a loveless marriage. I am also isolated in my husband's country where I do not speak the language and want to leave. Not even necessarily to leave the marriage, but to leave and look for work in a country that will hire me. If I can be well enough.
But I am scared. Because I am financially reliant on him. And if I leave, I will be trying to live on my own..and I am SOOOO in debt, nearly $200,000 US dollars and I will probably never get out of it because I have always been sick. I am not sure I can make it on my own...due to my past....I feel so powerless.
I just recently found out I have a Daridra Yoga which made me feel even more hopeless.
I feel so depressed, which I am coming to learn is a thyroid problem and is actually chemical. I begin medicine for that in 2 days, but am still not sure if that is really the source of all my problems.
I do not know what to do.
Can someone help to guide me? And try to make me feel a little better? Please?

In my opinion, the Rahu maha dasa is running since 1994 till March 2012. Rahu is not well placed in the house of Mars in 12th. It will be followd by Jupiter MD who is placed in 4th in his own house and also lagna lord. Saturn is in spouse house aspecting Lagna and Jupiter. Saturn is debilited in Navamsa and is with mars aspecting spouse/marrigae house. It makes Jupiter little weak but overall it is much better than what you are going through. I can expect change for good only when Jupiter dasa starts.
Spouse lord is in 6th, disease and enemies house indicating not a good marriage.
Coming back to going to Ashram, it is up to you to decide as it will depend greatly on your religious nature and thirst for divine knowledge and God. In my opinion, I do not see much strong planetary combinations till 2012 to do so as well as your real inclination for this. this may not necessarily cancels the Karmic effects from previous lives but rather pospones it. You have a choice to pay your dues now and get over it or in some other lives, it is your choice. I understandd it is extremely difficult go through it but we all do so. my point is do not loose hope and think it is for good and you are paying your dues very fast. Try your best to overcome this phase.
Thyroid is also very important problem and medicine may not help in 2 days to see the effects. It requires few weeks to feel the effects specially the depression part of the life and low in energy. Check your food habits, it may also be important to overcome this problem.
You may like to wear unheated yellow topaz in silver ring in first finger. Worship lord Vishnu along with Mata Lakshmi every day (without flowers).
If possible, donate clothes, shoes, umbrella, food to needy people (no animal associated items) on Saturdays. Be vegetarian if you are already not so.

Your Lagna is kumbha. The description you gave is of planets in different Rasis rather than houses and thus is misleading. For example, Rahu is in Aries and not in the first house and so on...
Business or job: Finance and gains lord is in 12th showing that it is from travel or away from birth place. Both are good for you as well as have some negative effects. Overall, business is good.
Abroad: Either abroad or away from birth place as indicated above.

In my opinion,
"Moon Subperiod in Kethu Dasa is from March till October 2009, Moon is profession lord but placed with Rahu. With hard efforts it is possible to get the job, it may not be that you desired. Worship lord Shiva (no flowers), be vegetarian if you are already not so."
"The period might have started at least at the start of kethu Mahadasa. Kethu is placed in Jupiter's sign and thus giving spiritual results, meaning not the materialistic results as most of the people may like to get these days. It is Karmic planet and results are due to karma of previous lives. I have seen several charts where people have hard work not for only 1 or 2 years but all the life, these people could have changed the life on this earth for good but it never happened as they did not get the opportunities to do the work. It does not matter if they are in western hemisphere or in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">India</st1:place></st1:country-region> or somewhere else. Lastly, we can reduce the effects of unfavourable placement of planets but many times it is not easy to remove all such effects otherwise Karma may have no role to play. We all have go through it. either we take it now or postpond for some other time.

Lord Shiv pooja may be very helpful.
The period of Rahu in Kethu will be over by June/2009 and it will be followed by Jupiter subperiod and this may be better than the present.
Also,
Worship lord Vishnu (without flowers).
Be vegetarian if you are already not so.
Wear yellow topaz (not yellow sapphire) may be helpful

In my opinion, period of Jupiter with subperiod of Rahu is running till March 2011. When Jupiter moves/transits to Aquarius sign by end of Dec 2009, you may experience the change for good. But, the concern is of the next period of Saturn for 19 Yrs who is in 8th (death....). Wear a good quality unheated yellow Topaz in gold (not yellow sapphire as many may give you).

In my opinion, I do not think one can nullify the effects, soon or later one has to go through it, one may postpond the results. You may reduce it by worshiping lord Shiva along with Mata Parvati everyday (no flowers). Be careful with your elder (if you have) brothers or sisters in matters relating to property and wealth.

In my opinion, your Jupiter dasa has started from march 2009 who is lord of the property etc. The time has started. The concern is of Mars who is 8th lord (death, ....) is with Jupiter and be careful with fire hazard in the house you purchase. Saturn as a 6th lord is aslo not sa comfortable place to have in Lagna. Focus your thoughts and try to take correct decisions as you may be your own decisions may prove to be wrong later on.

In my opinion, Mangal subperiod in Kethu Mahadasa till Sept 2009 and it will be followed by Rahu subperiod. Mars is 12th lord is aspecting Lagna by placement in 7th. Thus, chnage is still indicated for good as Rahu is in 8th (death...) and its subperiod after Sept 2009 may not be beneficial for you. Neelam is good for you as indicated before.

Your Lagna is Dhanu and is on margin. How accurate is your birth time? Based on this, you are having Mercury Dasa with Jupiter subperiod. Jupiter is Lagna lord and has been recently left deblited position for a short time period. Exalted saturn is aspecting 5th house may give back problems but healing is slow but possible. Mercury is lord of profession, is in 12th, thus with some efforts you may be able to get it.

In my opinion, I would not suggest either neelam, diamond or emerald at this time. You rae having saturn period with Moon sub period. Your Lagna is on margin and comes to be Leo, and if there is some difference in time, the results will be different. There are many concerns in the chart.

In my opinion, the Rahu, Saturn (with Moon) are in Lagna aspecting spouse house. Mars is also aspecting. You have Mangal dosha. These factors delays marriage. Mars indicates after 28, Saturn indicates 30 to 36, where as Rahu delays it further. The involvement of Saturn delays the process itself in general and thus requires lot of efforts. Wait till Jupiter transists to 7th house (spouse) by end of December. Although it is 8th lord may cause some set backs but with your efforts it may be possible in that time. To reduce the negative effects of these combinations you may like to do the following:
Be vegetarian if you are already not so.
