  1. sudszy, I have read Ramayana 20 times trying to figure out if it is a holy book, but can't comprehend! For me it is a fiction book that depicts the love, revenge, desires, defeat and triumph of Rama. It's not real.
  2. I was talking about the subject/person/place Nostradamus was predicted. Did he say it's a God? NO. So I just thought that he is an anti christ. Did I say so that God is an anti Christ? Well maybe...there are lots of false prophets who will arise in the latter times. Looking at Matthew 7:15-23, we find Jesus gives us the guideline for determining false prophets: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

  4. Thank you Yasodanandana. Much appreciated and God Bless. There are so many things we need to be aware of and not to be indulged in. So may the Good Lord will help you and will bring you closer to him. I can say that, the Paramatma is with you, visibly!
  5. Paramatma is the inner voice of God to the jivatma or the individual self, Paratma is God's spirit that tells us to do right and avoid wrong doings. It is pureness in us, the part of God which is from God. Angels are the warriors of God/disciples to remind us to do good and shield us from the karma and others and lead us towards light/God.
  6. Or maybe he is an Anti Christ? hmmmmm just a thought.

  8. Islam, Christianity or Hinduism Scriptures are God's words. Sad to say, they were mis-interpreted, and the practices are not of God. Bible, Quran and Vedas speak that there is only ONE GOD. But Hindus are not contented. They wanted more Gods. They chastised Christians for the 6th Commandment of God to Moses which is "Thou shall not kill, but IGNORE the rest of the commandments especially the first 2 of the 10: Deuteronomy 5:6-7 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Deuteronomy 5:8-10 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. I am open to any reactions. Regards.
  9. Hi theist.. Forgive me, I can't expalin throughly now for I have a time constraint here...need to attend my class... YES WE SHOULD TAKE SHELTER OF GOD'S NAME. Haven't you heard of the Prajapathi in Sanskrit? Why won't you believe? The Sanskrit name of God has a saving power if you are referring to the True God. What is the real truth about God? Jeremiah 24:7 says, And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart. If we are going to know God, we must give His Book and His Word the final authority over every issue in our lives. There has to be one way, and one standard for man to follow. Confusion results when one voice is saying, This is the way, and another says, No, this is the way. Each man has a different way -- his own way. The Bible tells us about this in the book of Proverbs. Proverbs 21:2 says, Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. In Proverbs 16:25 we find, There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. We must study the record of Jesus' life as recorded in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. John 14:1-9 records this account of Jesus words: " Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also; and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it'sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father....". The way to see God is by looking at Jesus. This does not mean to look at His physical appearance because God is Spirit, and He says in John 4:24 these words: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Therefore, we must have spiritual eyes to see God since He is Spirit. John 12:44-46 tells us; Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. John 14:12 goes on to say, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:13-21 continues: And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. In I John 4:7-16 we find these words: Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
  10. "Yes he is the most merciful, Most caring and most loving etc. Thats why he wants you to not care about your body and care about yourself." Hmmmmmmm well, For me He is not a partial God. Body is the temple of yourself and the soul. If you can't take care of the body that he has intrusted you, how can you take care of yourself? They are all interconnected to each other. And God wants us to be systematic and clean (inside and outside). Sometimes, we are so literal in interprating God's words. Everytime we read whatever books or writings concerning faith..better Pray to the Lord first, that you will understand the words according to what God wants you to know, not of what you want to know.
  11. Reply/Comment for: _________ "Remember, God has nothing to do with our physical bodies, but has relation with our soul." _________ Are you serious sbout this? Let's say I painted my own image in a canvas. Are you only after of the idea that you created a masterpience and won't take care the image of the painting? Are you going to allow, that somebody will crushed it? Or if any foreign object will fall into it that will ruin it? I am saying this becasue of the truth that we are the image and likeness of God. We are created because we are dear to him. We were given a chance to go back to Him in due time. If He has nothing to do with our physical body, what kind of God He is? He is the Most Merciful, MOST Caring, MOST Loving, MOST Understanding, MOST High...And if you say, he doesn't care at all of his physical creation, why are you still here? But He is Indeed a Loving GOD, giving us food, giving us air, letting the climate change and making the sun set and rise again, becasue he cares about you my friend. And of course, He is missing our SOUL too much, to be with Him again forever to be in His Kingdom..that's why He careth for you, for he even cares for least bud of plants in the nowhere...
  12. theist quote" Then does it follow that after the resurrection Jesus once again became the Father in full?" Looking and speaking about the other side of a coin doesn't mean you have seen the whole coin. You are only reading the Vedic Literature, please give some time to read the Bible the old and new testament. It has been said in the bible: Mark 14:62 - And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Mark 16:19 - So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. Luke 22:69 - Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. John 5:17 - But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. John 5:18 - Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. John 5:19 - Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. John 5:20 - For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. John 5:21 - For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. John 5:22 - For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: John 5:23 - That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. John 5:26 - For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; John 5:30 - I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. ohn 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:7 - If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 1 John 2:22 - Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
  13. Proverbs 18:10 - The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Praise be the name of Jesus now and Forever! The Bible speaks of Jesus and even predicted more than a thousand years before He was born. The Quran mentioned Jesus' name 97 times than Mohammed that only mentioned 25 times. The Reg Veda mentioned Jesus (indirectly) by the quote PRAJAPATHY...but Krishna and Mohammed were not mentioned in the bible. So even the Quran and Bible will vanish I can still find Jesus in Reg Vedas and even the reg Vedas will vanish..there is the Quran that prove Jesus is the Son of God...and most of all, even I will lost everything in this material world....there is no such possession than having Jesus inside my heart! I am the richest person in the world! John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
  14. Bravo! I agree with you prapbu ! The greatest illusion or maya is thinking that the wooden doll would bring the feeling of lust to the person. I am not a devotee but I salute your community for behaving strictly to avoid the presence of lust. Lust actually strikes on a deeper level and will make us more addicted to it. On the other hand, the idea of not touching the wooden doll becasue it is in the form of a woman legs.. Geeeeeeeeeee that's what we call paranoia!!! Instead pray to the Lord to remove all the unpleasing characters in us. He even hear the crying of the birds, why can't he hear you if you ask His mercy with all your heart?

  16. Thank you for your thorough explanation Sir/Madam. I am happy to read all the explanations here about the Christian and Hindu belief. Before I proceed I am praying to the True God to enlighten the minds of His people especially here, that whoever read this column, may the Spirit of the True God will cover him/her and make her/him understand what God want him/her to understand..not what she/he wants to know. I confess that my faith is still weak. But I believe that through the mercy of the Lord, He will give me light and strength and wisdom and an open heart to understand and see the truth. I also pray that everyone of us, who is participating in this topic may share the light and promises of truth awaits for us. We were talking about Krishna and Jesus. So far, I am fortunate enough to read the topics about Christ which I do believe is very true. There are lots of findings, researches done by various people, believers and non-believers of Jesus, but there is only one result. He is indeed the Son of the True God, who came to the earth to give hope and peace and salvation. On the other hand, I am confused about the teachings of Krishna. There is no evident/factual basis of His appearance in this world. Unlike Jesus, History of the world is parallel to his existence. In the Bible, there are numerous names of ancient Kings that were mentioned and it is exactly named if we match it is world history. I don't have any knowledge about the proof/facts about Hinduism. Does really Hanuman ever lived? There are also lots of god to be worshipped. My idea is, if we can't please, follow, love with all our hearts only one God, why have more? For God is a jealous God, He don't want His people to praise other non-existent/mind created beings.... I have found a list of characteristics of a False religion. I know this is not 100% true but just as the guide to see if you are in the group... The following statements, compiled by Dr. Michael Langone, editor of Cultic Studies Journal, often characterize manipulative groups. (1) The group is focused on a living leader to whom members seem to display excessively zealous, unquestioning commitment. (2) The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members. (3) The group is preoccupied with making money. (4) Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished. (5) Mind-numbing techniques (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, debilitating work routines) are used to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s). (6) The leadership dictates sometimes in great detail how members should think, act, and feel (for example: members must get permission from leaders to date, change jobs, get married; leaders may prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, how to discipline children, and so forth). (7) The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s), and members (for example: the leader is considered the Messiah or an avatar; the group and/or the leader has a special mission to save humanity). (8) The group has a polarized us- versus-them mentality, which causes conflict with the wider society. (9) The group's leader is not accountable to any authorities as are, for example, military commanders and ministers, priests, monks, and rabbis of mainstream denominations). (10) The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify means that members would have considered unethical before joining the group (for example: collecting money for bogus charities). (11) The leadership induces guilt feelings in members in order to control them. (12) Members' subservience to the group causes them to cut ties with family and friends, and to give up personal goals and activities that were of interest before joining the group. (13) Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group. (14) Members are encouraged or required to live and/or socialize only with other group members

  18. That's what I am talking about. Every community claims that they are the true group and assigned others (such as Jesus and the rest) to be the avatar...But how would you know that your belief is true? For Christian - Bible, Muslim - Quran, and for Hare Krishna Community - SB which is part of the "epic" Mahabharata. How would you know that your scriptures are true? And not only based on "Literature"?
