    Dear experts,

     

    Could you please take a stab at my case and help me? please let me know if I am missing some information. I have always been excellent academically and getting a job was a cake walk few years ago. Now I just feel my mind is not co-operating with me. It just blanks out sometimes. I am failing in securing a job and also in trying to do further studies. I feel I am not as intelligent as I used to be, probably I have gotten really dumb!

    I am losing confidence in myself.

     

    If not anything else, is there a way I can become strong mentally and have the confidence to face no matter what happens?

    Experts, is there any particular prayer that would benefit me? Nothing is working out for me. They say period of planets in 12th house give material losses but help one grow spiritually. So even if all my efforts yield nothing, I hope to become stronger mentally and emotionally so that I have the strength to make the best of everything and have the courage to face what ever comes. I want my mind to be calm and stable and devoid of unecessary thoughts. I have started doing yoga and meditation regularly.

    Quick question(Please pardon me if it looks like I am trying to fish for the answer I want).

     

    You mentioned Rahu dasa and Sun antardasa wont be so good. But sun is the 2nd lord in 11th house which is a type of dhana yoga and it is with moon and mars which form chanda mangala yoga in 11th house which is also a dhana yoga. Would it be fair to assume that Sun antardas will be atleast relatively better than the Venus antardasha? This is for my original post.

    Just out of curiosity, the below horoscope has saturn and sun exalted and opposing each other. The native is doing very very well with good higher education and a very lucrative job and settled in united states.

     

    Could it be something else in his chart that bestowed these successes?

    Dear experts,

     

    I read up about the maturity of planets. It would be greatful if any of you help me understand what exactly maturity means. Does it mean ill effects will be less or generally effects will be less?

    For eg: Mangliks are advised to marry after 28 because mars matures at that age. Does it mean effect of mars decreases. In that case, for a non manglik, if Mars is a yogakaraka ie lord of 5th and 10th house , does it mean after 28 the good effects will be less?

    Dear Nisha,

     

    Yes, your Moon is too close to the Sun (combust to say) in fact less than 2 degree almost. This makes your mind weak and a lot of like that of Mungerilal, a character who dreams all day long, but this is quite common and people tend to think too much for no reason. The only remedy is to do yoga, meditation, exercise, walking etc. This will help your mind stay calm and focus. But Moon is in its own nakshtra called Rohini and thus not much to worry about. In navamamsa chart Moon is in Taurus again making it vargottama and giving it some good strength, this means that if you make up your mind you can rule the world. Still Moon being in Taurus it has not lost all of its power so stop worrying.

     

    Moon is also very important for you as it is the lagna lord the center of your universe. Another planet very important and beneficial to your Cancer lagna is Mars. The Moon and Mars combination is really yog karaka for Cancer lagna people, but in your chart it is in the 11th house thus losing a great deal of its power to give you great results, but this is not the end of the world.

     

    Your 5th lord Mars aspects its own sign ie Scorpio in the 5th house, so you can study more if you want. Jupiter also aspects Mars from the 3rd house and this is also a good sign.

     

    Your 4th lord Venus the lord of the house of further education is in the 12th with Mercury, if you want to go abroad for studies then please do so.

     

    Right now you are running Rahu mahadasha (MD) and Rahu is placed in a nakshtra called Pushya owned by Saturn which is placed in the 3rd house, which is 12th to the 4th house, the house of residence and native country. Have you recently changed your residence from one city to another or within the same city?

     

    Your current antar-dasha under the major Rahu MD is Venus which started sometime in Oct-Nov 2006 and after that you must have lost the job as Venus is in the 12th house which is 12th to the 1st house where Rahu is placed. Venus is placed in a nakshtra called Mrugshirsh which is owned by Mars. Mars is in the 11th house which is 12th to the 12th house in which Venus is placed. Your current time does not seem to be too favourable to you.

     

    Around Oct-Nov 2009, you will start Sun antar-dasha (AD) under the major Rahu MD and this will be of mixed results. This will last about 11 months.

     

    Then Moon AD will begin followed by Mars AD and this is the period (Mars AD) when you need to be very careful. If you have a software, (which I do not and thus I have used only certain sites to do my manual dasha calculations) then you can do it and see the exact dates of these ADs. I am sorry.     I have been an ardent reader of this forum and have immense respect for the kind of help the experts have been offering to the needy.

    I humbly request you to answer few questions regarding my career.

     

    Here is my birth details.

     

    2nd June 1981

    time:10:30 AM

    Place: karwar, karnataka.

     

     

    1. I have been trying for a job for a long time since 2007. Things have not worked out despite lot of hardwork. Can I hope to see some good news starting november when my sun antardasha starts? Venus antardasha has been extremely dissappointing and grueling. Things were good before that.

    2.I have a very weak mind, extremely sensitive,moody and fearful of everything. Is it because my moon is badly combust?(exalted though).

    3. How will the efforts to do my higher education work out?

     

    I have been good at studies right since childhood and also before 2007 was working with a reputed company.

     

    What are the remedies that can be done in terms of prayers? I am already wearing coral and pearl.

    Dear ips,

     

    If you think you are not compatible with the person you are enganged to, you might want to think over your decision,still not too late.. if you don't enter the wedlock with a positive and good feeling with a belief that things will work out well, it is very likely that both of you will feel miserable going forward.

    Dear all,

     

    I agree that trying to fix a birth date and time is not something that we humans should do. But since Mr google12 has been asked by the doctor to choose a date and if he anyway has to give a date, there is nothing wrong in trying to choose an auspicious date in my humble opinion . Offcourse choosing a date may not really mean delivery will happen on the same date.

     

    However , while giving a date, wanting to give an auspicious one is only natural.

     

    Again I am a novice in astrology and neither am I spiritually at a high place, I just felt a genuine concern for the queryer.

    Thank you so so much sir! I am really really happy to receive answers for my questions..

    One last question sir, what does 12th lord moon debilitated in 4th house mean? This is in my newly born nephew's chart . Would this mean that there would be some distance between the mother and the child? More so since he is vishaka nakshatra 4th pada which also indicates the mother will be unavailable to him.

    Exaltation of Mars for Kanya lagna is very unfavourable for the children. Affliction to Venus(9th lord) and/or Jupiter(Karaka) could add to this and can cause delays and even denial of children.

     

    Exaltation of malefic planets may be good as lagna lords (Sun in 9, Mars in 10th, Sat as 9/10) - but as dusthana lords they will bring in malefic results.

    I have one more question, so does this mean debilitation of a malefic is better? Does debilitation of a malefic only weaken the malefic power or does it also add to it ?

    Dear experts,

     

    As a learner of astrology , I have a question. When a strong malefic is exalted, does it make it more powerful to do its malefic job? Or does it make it less malefic?

     

    For example, in a chart, with kanya Lagna, if Mars is exalted in 5th house, is it harmful for the child? Because Mars is by nature a malefic and for kanya lagna it lords 3rd and 8th lords which makes it a functional malefic. But with exaltation, it is happy. Does it make it better?

     

    If the experts could throw some light on this, I'd be greatful.

    I am neither married nor hav not started working till now .. I am abroad since jan 2008 to study and now hav to search for a job . will i get it soon or do have to struggle and wait...faced gr8 problems during my foreign stay

    You have a good chart , not to worry! You were undergoing Venus dasa earlier who is the badhaka lord(11th) . You are currently running Sun Dsa, sun is also mildly afflicted with 8th and 6th lords in 3rd house. From november 2009 you will have excellent period , moon dasa starts and moon is exalted in 11th house .... Your lord of profession is a yogakaraka and well placed in 2nd house.

     

    You may have love cum arranged marriage,since jupiter aspects the 7th lord and also rahu aspects 7th house. Chances are that your partner will be tall and a good person.

     

    I am still a beginner, but I think that you should not wear diamond since Venus is 11th lord and badhaka.
