  1. Govinda-dharma is a religion practiced by

the devotees of Lord Krishna since time

immemorial. The ancient people of India

in fact placed their own impress on what

    they received and developed linga-worship

(bhakti) devotion to Vishnu, a god incar-

nate of Krishna, known as Govinda, a popu-

lar legend at Mathura, whom they described

as the romantic lover of 1000 herd girls

and warrior in the west coast. Second only

to Krishna is Rama, an Avatar who is consi-

dered as the symbol of conjugal devotion.

When both (Krishna and Rama) are linked,

they are known as Hari-Hara, which formed

the basis of chanting the Hare Krishna maha

mantra. Equate them with an element, a per-

son in Lord Brahma, and what you get is a

Trimurti, or the so-called Holy Trinity.

    Brahmanism therefore followed Hinduism at

various periods of time, imported from the

Ganges Valley and patronized by the local

rulers, but met opposition from the Jain

    follower named Vardhamana Mahavira(c.540-

468 B.C.) who elaborated the doctrines of

an earlier prophet, Parsya, who vowed not

to injure any life, to be truthful, not to

steal and to possess no property, adding in

turn chastity and asceticism as a means ro

free man`s soul from the bondage of the ma-

    terial world.

Every religion of the world speak some truth

but nothing can compare if one speaks about

the Supreme Personality of God, Govinda, who

is known as Krishna. All other talks about

this and that person means nothing to pure

devotees like Srila Narada and Parvata Muni.

  2. Govinda-dharma according to the scriptures

is man`s eternal occupational duty which

is to serve God with love and devotion re-

gardless of the nature and status of his

present life. Ambarisa Maharaja for example.

Although he was a king still he made a vow

to come to the Ashram on weekends just to

clean Govinda`s temple. It was his religion

    and that`s why it`s called Govinda-dharma.

Note: The temple I`m referring to is your

    name@indiadivine.com.

    Similarly, the Dravidians(ancient people of

India) in fact worshiped Brahma as the uni-

fying element that make up the Trimurti or

Trinity with Siva( god of destruction) and

Vishnu(god of sacrifice) as the other two.

    That is not Govinda-dharma.

Note: Please visit a Christian Church.

In Hinduism, Rudra a minor Vedic divinity

was exalted as Siva from whom the cult of

    Vairochana(6th cent. A.D.) was established

in northwestern India, a ritual called Tan-

trism that uses magic spells and charms to

captivate a victim or benefactor or lover.

    That is not Govinda-dharma.

    Card.

  3. Maitreya was a disciple of the

    Saravastivadin Buddhist Sect in

    Kashmir(100 A.D.) I fell he is

    the boddhisattv of Jesus Christ.

It is just a hunch. There is a

    link somewhere between Christ

    and Krishna(Vishnu). The Hari-

    Hara. Add one element, Brahma

and you have the Trimurti or

    Trinity. Siva, Vishnu and Brahma.

    Or Rama/Govinda/Brahma. So, where

does Radha fit in the scheme of

    things? Just asking.

  4. I have been on a roller coaster ride about

3 months ago when I filed on March 12, 2001

a case against my boss for graft and corrup-

tion before the Visayas-Ombudsman. I`m not

anymore reporting for work when this issue

took place and have surrendered my life from

then on to my Lord Sri Krishna Chaitanya

Mahaprabhu. He can do whatever He wants from

me for I believe He caused it to happen. There

    is no doubt about It.

That`s why, for better or for worse, I will

always remember Lord Visnu and try to glo-

rify Lord Krishna`s holy names whenever I

    could by chanting Hare Krishna.

    everything. take care and

how i wish i were with

    you regularly to discuss

    between ourselves about

You know, my friends, here beside me is my

elder brother, Manav( sanskrit name). It`s

the first time that we came over to see our

forum. You see, he`s also in to devotonal service, being a devotee of Lord Krishna.

In fact, he inspired me to take up devotio-

nal service to help me improve my life. My

brother, Manav, is a fine artist. And we as

a token of friendship greet you a pleasant

happy holidays to all the universal friends

    out there. Good cheers!

The Bible attest to Jesus as the Great

Physician. For how can he cure the blind,

the leper, bringing the dead back to

life, turning water to soma rasa, fee-

ding thousands of people with just a few

pieces of fish and bread, etc? Jesus

death on the cross and his resurrection

was in fact a drama just to make his dis-

ciples believe in the existence of the

eternal soul and the Supreme Soul, Hari.

Like Sancarakarya(Siva), he made his dis-

ciples believe in mukti until such time

his immortal followers will be able to

understand bhakti through the mercy of His

Divine Grace Sri Krishna, the worshipable

God of Jesus Christ or Sambhudeva.

    Hare Krishna-Maha Mantra

    ----------------------------

    Hare Krishna Hare Krishna

    Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

    Hare Rama Hare Rama

    Rama Rama Hare Hare

According to the ancient Vedic literatu-

res of India, the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra

is the most powerful prayer that one can

    offer to God(Krishna).

Hare refers to the spiritual energy of

the Lord. Krishna means, " one who is all

attractive ", and Rama means " the source

of all pleasure ". By chanting this man-

tra, we are praying to the Supreme Lord

Sri Vasudeva Chaitanya to please engage us

in His devotional service. Thus, chanting

God`s names in the form of the Maha-Mantra

is the best means of uniting ourselves

    with Him.

  12. Sri Sri Gurvastaka

    -----------------------

    By Vaisvanatha Cakravarti Thakura

The spiritual master ie receiving benedic-

tion from the ocean of mercy. Just as a

cloud pours water on a forest fire to extin-

guish it, so the spiritual master delivers

the materially afflicted world by putting out

the blazing fire of material existence. I of-

fer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus

feet of such a spiritual master, who is an

    ocean of auspicious qualities.

Chanting the holy name, dancing in ecstasy,

    singing, and playing musical instruments,

the spiritual master is always gladdened by

by the sankirtana movement of Lord Chaitanya

Mahaprabhu. Because he is relishing the mel-

lows of pure devotion within his mind, some-

times his hair stands on end, he feels qui-

vering in his body, and tears flow from his

eyes like waves. I offer my respectful obei-

sances unto the lotus feet of such a spirit-

    ual master.

The spiritual master is always engaged in

the temple worship of Sri Sri Radha&Krishna.

He also engages his disciples in such wors-

hip. They dress the Deities in beautiful

clothes and ornaments, clean Their temple,

and perform other similar worship of the

Lord. I offer my respectful obeisances unto

the lotus feet of such a spiritual master.

The spiritual master is always offering

Krishna four kinds of delicious food. When

the spiritual master sees that the devotees

are satisfied by eating bhagavt-prasada, he

is satisfied. I offer my respectful obeisan-

ces unto the lotus feet of such a spiritual

    master.

The spiritual master is always eager to hear

and chant about the unlimited conjugal past-

imes of Radhika and Madhava, and Their quali-

ties, names, and forms. The spiritual master

aspires to relish these at every moment. I

offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus

feet of such a spiritual master.

The spiritual master is very dear, because he is expert in assessing the gopis, who at different times make different tasteful ar-

rangements forr the perfection of Radha and

Krishna`s conjugal loving affairs within the

groves of Vrindavana. I offer my most humble

obeisances unto the lotus feet of such a spi-

    ritual master.

The spiritual master is to be honored as

much as the Supreme Lord, because he is the most confidential servitor of the Lord. This

is acknowledged is all revealed scriptures

and followed by all authorities. Therefore

I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lo-

tus feet of such a spiritual master, who is

a bonafide representative of the Supreme Per-

sonality of Godhead, Shri Hari Krishna.

By the mercy of the spiritual master one re-

ceives the benediction of Krishna. Without

the grace of the spiritual master, one can

not make any advancement. Therefore, I should

always remember and praise the spiritual mas-

ter. At least three times a day.

Once upon a time, the people in a faraway

land, when the King died, opted to select

a successor to the throne. Since there

were two Princes qualified, both of whom

born from different mothers, the people

therefore decided to have an election to

find out which Prince deserved to be their

    next King. Unfortunately, however, after

all the votes were counted, the margin was

too close to call that the people decided

on a recount with the consent of the peo-

ple`s tribunal or court to include those

votes which were considered null and void.

Because the recount took so long to end,

the people of the land, the People`s Uni-

ted States, are lamenting because, until

now, they still don`t have a new King.

In our country, the Banana Republic of King

Philip, however, the people are protesting

and shouting because we still have a King.

Note: This joke is real. It`s happening in

the USA and in the Philippines.

Correction, please: An error is spotted, "

making this up. It actually happened when

I visited the Hare Krishna Paradise in Pag-

lippines, yesterday, between 8-11 am, 11-12-

A visitor-devotee of Hare Krishna is in the

Temple`s receiving room waiting for its

    caretaker to come.

A few hours later... An old maidservant came

to inform the visitor, " I`m sorry, the Mas-

ter can not see you because he has a terrible

headache. Well, " the Temple visitor re-

plied, " ... the more he should me. " The

old maidservant was curious, and she faced

him to ask why. The visitor`s answer was, "

    Because I`m a doctor!"

King Pracinabharisat was advised by Narada

Muni to stop using his body for sense gra-

tification but instead engage it for Krsna`s

satisfaction. Narada knew the King`s disease

and how it could be eased. Narada Muni had

the prescription and it was only up to the

King to administer it on himself. Devotees

of Krsna, like Narada, have no other busi-

ness why he visits a householder or a King

because his only concern is to remind them

to go home, back to God, Krsna. Sri Narada

is not visiting us for the money.

  17.

" Stop playing God!", was the Voice that

I heard, unexpectedly when I took my regu-

lar afternoon bath yesterday, Nov. 7, 2000,

    around 3:15 pm, Asia-Pacific time.

It was a command which made me realize

the futility of playing the role of God, as

if having the illusion that one is empowered

to do only God, in His transcendence, can

accomplish without much ado. Thus, in the

final analysis, in accepting that I am not

God is a step towards realizing the Divine.

Hiranyakasipu, a demon, thought he was God

and therefore more powerful than Krishna,

but at the last moment of his life, when he

attempted to kill his son, Prahlada, for be-

ing a devotee of God, demon Hiranyakasipu

was killed by Lord Nrsimha, the half-man,

half-lion incarnation of God with His sharp

nails. To consider therefore himself as God

    is demon-Hiranyakasipu`s nature.

Srila Prabhupada, the founder of the Hare

Krishna movement, didn`t consider himself as

God. So was Srila`s spiritual master, Bhak-

tisiddhanta Saravasti Guru Maharaja, and the

    great spiritual masters like Bhaktivinoda

Thakur and Hari Dasa Thakur, who are Hare

Krishna devotees of Lord Chaitanya, the gol-

den Avatar-incarnation of God in the Age of

    Kaliyuga.

    Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, although,

He was God didn`t even consider Himself

that way, claiming to His pure-devotees that

He is the most insignificant, like a straw,

eternal servitor of Sri Krishna, the Supreme

    Personality of Godhead.

In other words, there is only one God, and

He is Krishna, the primeval Lord whose name

is Govinda, the greatest Lover and Cowherder

of the Surabhi cows in Goloka Vrndavan. He

is present in this web site`s E-mail.

That is what I meant of the www.harekrishna.

com article I wrote which if handled with

care and devotion can accomplish the mission

    of the Hare Krishna movement.

May the Lord in His Vasudeva form give His

full support on this wonderful Science of

    attracting everyone in Transcendence, making

everyone want to go back home, back to God.

benefit all who are in Krishna conscious-

ness, meaning, those who are interested in

this science of God awareness. All, there-

interested in knowing the art of rendering

devotional service to Sri Krishna, the Sup-

    reme Personality of Godhead.

It`s(www.harekrishna.com) a web page in cy-

berspace whose members can interact and ex-

changes their views about the Hare Krishna

movement, organized in 1966 in the USA by

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

    Prabhupada.

All the discussions that took place, shall

be properly documented and archived for pos-

terity, which I believe will be the founda-

tion by which all arguments about the Hare

Krishna movement and its judgements are

made, precedents of which shall be made the

basis for which a solution to a difficult

problem regarding such a sensitive issue is

    made.

All these discussions, in other words, shall

be carried out with diplomacy so as not to

commit vaisnava aparadha to a devotee, pure

    or mixed, of Hare Krishna.

Finally, this beautiful web page( http://

    www.harekrishna.com ) shall be incoordina-

tion with the other Krishna cybersites,

which is, by the way, simultaneously one but

different from. And true to Its ultimate

goal in the devotee`s spiritual life; TO

CARRY OUT SRI CHAITANYA`S MISSION OF INUNDA-

TING THE WHOLE EARTH WITH KRISHNA CONCIOUS-

NESS IN THIS AGE OF QUARREL AND HYPOCRISY.

  19. Radha-Damodara

    --------------

Why Radha-Damodara is called as such can be

traced to the Lord`s playing the part of a

    subordinate in His transcendental sporting

where he puts Himself under the care of

Yasodamata for His protection. But sometimes

for being naughty, His mother ties Him with

a rope. This transcendental lila therefore

is called Damodara, the rope tying punish-

ment Lord Krishna received from His Mother,

Yasoda, for stealing together, with His bro-

ther, Balarama, and His monkey friends,

Their neighbors clarified butter hidden in-

side the jar placed on the shelf where the

two naughty cowherd Boys of Vrndavana could

    not reach.

Damodara, in other words, is that basic

    principle of transcendental exchange between

the Lord and Radharani, or with His Mother,

Yasodamata, so Both can enjoy the transcen-

dental bliss derived from this pastime, to

which there`s no comparison, even up to, say

    the level of brahmananda.

Imagine, Lord Krishna, the wonderful actor

crying and trembling in front of you, as a

mother, while tying Him with a rope for be-

ing a naughty Boy. This transcendental feel-

    ing therefore is called Damodara.

It is our joy that the month of October, in

Vaisnava Almanac, is dedicated to Sri Damo-

dara who is no other than Lord Krishna Him-

    self.

    Hare Krishna!

  20.

There`s no one more dear to Krishna than

Srimati Radharani. When They become sepa-

rated, a gloomy atmosphere follows, of

sadness and grief. It`s called Mohana. And

when They again are re-united, the world

rejoices, the gopis of Vrajabhumi sings

and dances, bountiful prasada are offered,

brahmanas and their students go back to

the classrooms to study Srimad Bhagavatam

    and the Bhagavad-gita. Hence, everything

is auspicious. Thus, it is called Madana.

In Radha-Krishna there`s joy and bliss.

But in Their separation there`s sadness.

Whichever we may want Them to be is a

choice we alone is responsible. Either you

love Radha-Krishna to dominate your life,

    or Krishna-Balarama your guide. It`s a mat-

ter of choice. In other words,we can`t have

the cake and eat it, too.

That`s why chanting the Hare Krishna mantra

is the most logical choice in this age of

    duality and quarrel.

Hare Krishna is transcendental and the wor-

    ship of Radha-Krishna, or Krishna-Balarama,

is made perfect when Hare Krishna is sung

    with pure devotion and love.

There`s no other way, really, to please Sri

Govinda but chant with devotion the Hare

    Krishna maha-mantra.

  21.

    Dear Gaurachandra,

At first, I thought negative of you. I`m

sorry. I should have answered your views

but because of pride, I did not join you.

But you are never lost to me because I

think I know you. Not because we have

met in person but because of the books.

You see, when I got interested in the

    Krishna consciousness movement 12 years

ago, it was made complete when a child

hood friend, Mr. George Martinez, talked

me into joining ISKCON. But I refused

because of my Catholic upbringing. Cecil,

my wife would have none of it either

since she is a devout Catholic. Thus, I

just kept this to myself, not involving

my family, resulting to living a double

    life.

Mr. Martinez, in short, lent me his books,

Srimad Bhagavatam. His spiritual name is

Gaurasundara das. Thus, those books I have

with me( Mr. Martinez is in New York) carry

the names Gaurasundara das, books which I

always treasure until my next life. Your

name I`ll never forget because of the books.

May you be my best friend.

  22.

Of worship and devotion, Radha-Krishna is

    the best. Why?

I`ve came to realized this when I became

a frequent visitor of Sri Sri Radha Mandir

Temple in Washington DC. USA. From Dec.1999

to the present, I had been contributing

my points of view on the Temple`s message

    board.

On June 2000, when I started contributing

    to Indiadivine.com`s discussion forum, I

realized that this web site is in fact Sri

    Krishna`s Temple.

Hence, there`s no difference between con-

tributing your points of view to the Sri

Radha Mandir and Indiadivine.com for if

a devotee visits Both, it as as good as

devoting your time to the service of

Radha-Krishna. Isn`t it? That is the

    realization Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has

been trying to tell His devotees to
