Hi all.I am a catolic,i was born as catolic,mean that my master is jesus christ.My question ...is this ok to worship hindu gods,do mantra japas,yoga,pranayama,and other things,and leave my original religion behind?Am i ignoring Jesus,when i worship hindu gods,instead of praying to him?thank you

I do not think you will be ignoring Jesus Christ if you find that another path is the better way of you trying to get to know the lord. Remember all gods lead to the supreme which ever way you choose to pray to him depends on you. In my opinion You should worship the supreme personality of god and that is Krishna(Vishnu) Because he is the ultimate god. There is no need to worship any other god. Just look at it this way..Jesus is a incarnation of Krishna. So don't feel like your abdoning or ignoring him.

I was also born a catholic and can only speak from my own experience. Since I have taken up the process of Krsna Consciousness my realisations about the nature of God have developed and grown. In fact I have not left Jesus Christ but have grown to love and understand him in a more deeper and personal way.

The process I am practicing involves japa and kirtana of the Holy Names of God. In fact one of the great teachers of this practice taught, "if you have the name of God, please chant it." So in fact there is no need to change religion at all. If you are very attached to Lord Jesus Christ then simply chant his names.

I chant several mantras with the main focus on the Hare Krsna Mahamantra which is: Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. By chanting either Krsna's names or Christ's names there will be no loss.

There is no need to worship any other god. Just look at it this way..Jesus is a incarnation of Krishna. So don't feel like your abdoning or ignoring him.

Yes They are incarnations.

If these are also incarnations then how can one say that Jesus is also an incarnation of Krsna. Obviously, if both are held to be incarnations of God, then Jesus would be as much an incarnation of Krsna, as Krsna would be one of Jesus.

When Sri Krsna advents in His original form, He manifests the same pastimes as He does in His most confidential garden in the Kingdom of God. He is therefore called Lord Krishna here too. But it is Sri Krsna who is the source of all incarnations and expansions of God, including the Lord Krishna incarnation who speaks the Bhagavad-gita to His friend Arjuna.

Rama, as the first expansion of Krsna is God complete too, and He can appear anywhere He likes, also having absolute dominion over all that is. He always incarnates with Krsna in some capacity or other. When the Vedas prescribe praising the names of Rama and Krsna, it is both the incarnations and the original Godhead, Sri Krsna that one addresses simultaneously, for They are inconceivably inseparable, yet different. Expansions and incarnations are like innumerable candles all lit by one original candle; that candle is Sri Krsna, Syamasundara. All are equal candles, but only One is the primal flame.

As far as types of incarnations - most are known as visnu-tattva or on the level of God, God Himself. However some incarnations known as empowered incarnations are jiva-tattva or perfected living beings from the Kingdom of God who are not God but who are empowered by God to perform a specific function for Him. Lord Jesus and Mohammad (PBUH) fall into this jiva-tattva empowered incarnation category. Rama and Lord Krishna incarnations are visnu-tattva with the very special attribute in the Krsna appearance that He comes as He is with His entourage and sports as He does in the eternal pastimes.

This is a crude metaphor but consider our own gHari here who will appear at a baseball game with a white striped uniform, ball cap and glove. Our whole team enjoys seeing gHari strutting so dressed, pitching his curve balls past the struggling batters. On Tuesdays however, gHari sits on the Board of Directors for the oil magnate dressed in vest and suit arriving in his limousine. On Saturdays, gHari relaxes with his girlfriend in the park, dressed comfortably, enchanting her with his clever flute playing, and romantic glances. These are all gHari. But he appears differently to different people at different occasions for different purposes. We all love him as we know him, at the baseball game or the business meeting. We love him for being the greatest baseball pitcher, and yet we love him for just being gHari - the one who is all these wonderful personalities all bundled into one unforgettable person. That original gHari manifests himself in so many ways throughout the city, and has become known as Homerun-gHari, Gorgeous-gHari and Chairman-of-the-Board-gHari. However, it seems it is only that one girl who truly knows him deep down inside.

After thirty-two years of following Srila Prabhupada, I am a better Christian than I could ever have hoped to be. Happy Easter. He is risen.

How do we know this about Jesus and Muhammad? Are they ascribed to have said such a thing?

Imran, I have seen various professed prophecies in the scriptures alluding to each of them, but I hold my opinions based solely on the strength of the direct words of the great Vaishnava guru, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

I do know that Jesus was reputed to have said that he was 'sent' to teach of the Kingdom of God. I assume he was 'sent' by God from the Kingdom of God. There is no God but God, and Mohammad is His prophet.
