- Reverence to the Guru

I admit I have not read all of the posts related to this one from

Nanda, but would like to share a bit - offer that in recent

years/months I have had some pretty surprisingly strong feelings toward

the Divine Mother, and those that channel her energy. I am grateful

that thus far I have had enough awareness to do a lot of watching of my

process....and watching things shift and change. There are many things

I have not shared with anyone because I was shocked by my own process.

 

I do not mean to be too vague. I would offer that I have had feelings

of love, devotion, and surrender that have really surprised me. I have

not had to talk about them much. There seems to be more at work than

the surface play. Whether it is a photo of Durga, a Murti, a Sadhu

chanting the Mother's songs, our Gurus, each in its own time can serve

as a focus for my devotion, a way to cultivate my love for the Mother.

This brings me closer to HER. I love and respect the human messengers,

but as Shree Maa says, it is God's message that matters.

 

Lastly, there is no faking being in love. I am SO grateful to have

found my Gurus. They point the way for me. Jai Maa!

 

 

A side track .. hopefully illustrating my point ...

 

and then one day I fell in love..

.... and understood why those folks couldnt stop looking at each

other or have trouble keeping their hands off each other.

 

Until we really walk in another's shoes, we cannot know why they

feel the way they do...we can intellectually understand, infer from

others experiences, but ....we are only observers...not the

experiencers...

 

I believe that is true in most any situation and relationship.
