The incarnations Varah and Narsimh of Vishnu are similar to the

names of Shakti (Narsimhi & Varahi)are they one and the same

relating to the story of Hiranyaksh and Hiranyakashyap trying to

kill Prahlaad? How do they relate?

They are male and female counterparts of the avatars. They work in

much the same way.
