Is that also a mistake as I started it myself without any initiation. Latha :- Swamiji has said that it is OK to recite any mantra as long as it is done for self purification. For any other intention we have to consult a qualified Guru. Swamiji, please let me know if this is an accurate response for similar questions Swamiji's response : Yes, that is accurate. In this case, where there is so much effort for a specific purpose, he should make sure he is using an appropriate mantra and it is being pronounced correctly. Quote
Guest guest Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Thanks for providing me the answer as i wanna clarirify one more thing and that is-- While receiting the mantra i dont speak verbally as someone told me if you pronounce it wrong that is not good.So the chanting really doesnt means speaking.
