Question from Kalidas:

I was told, and have read, that the Savitri Gayatri mantra is a

solar mantra and can cause overheating, so should not be

chanted without proper instruction. Is that true? I like that

mantra,but now I feel nervous to chant it.

 

Swamiji's response :

 

Every mantra is pure if your intentions are pure. Do not be afraid

to recite mantras for self purification. The Gayatri is a prayer for

greater wisdom.
