We fall truly... madly.... deeply..... in love with the Divine......every moment becomes passionate worship at the same time, it is worship that creates the living relationship with the Divine Mother....it makes Her Real, by tuning our hearts and minds to Her Vibration....we draw Her attention..... It is through worship and the love from the Guru that the Divine Mother awakens Herself from Her own dream of being us. Please h-u-r-r-y Mother!!!! By knowing deep down inside that there is a reason and wanting as much as possible to play our role for Mom's sake alone. By seeing ourselves for who we really are and wanting to grow beyond the box we encase ourselves in. By witnessing the miracle of those who are succeeding in these goals and those who set the example. By developing a Bhava, a right intent, to become one with the source. By surrendering to all that life has to offer and saying "Thank you Maam, may I have another." By playing an active role in increasing the positivity of the world. By setting an example for others to follow. By doing our best and expect nothing from others. By connecting all that we see with our inner reality and allowing the two to merge. By letting go of thought when ever possible and recognizing the holiness in silence. I could go on and on... I love you Swamiji. Some thoughts and self-direction, which I am using to examine my own practice: Ask oneself this very question. Think of the Divine as an actual person you have a relationship with. If you do not feel the presence of God, cry out "God! Where are you!" This sounds like small thing, but it breaks you out of the egoic mode and puts you into a direct query to the source of all your goals and aspirations of the heart. Be completely dissatisfied with routine and method alone. Think of someone like Ramakrishna or Maa. Know them, imagine them. This enters their qualities into your mind stream. Look at the picture of Durga. Regard her tranquility, as well as the weapons that destroy confusion, etc. You become that which you contemplate. Imagine yourself becoming Hanuman ... feel his physical presence, as if you are morphing into him. Know his service to Shiva. Go deeper, until you can feel even his motivation, his heart, his attitude. Cry out to the Goddess! Know that she will hear you! Cry out! See all others as manifestations of the Divine. Namaste, Swamiji, In my experience, we keep passionate about our worship when we begin to understand and experience directly that there is no difference between our "own" inner Self, the Devi, the act of worship and the world around us. As this begins to happen, worship is the natural way to respond to being embodied. Every thing we encounter during the day can be a teacher to us; everything can be a moment of awakening. Guest guest Report post Posted April 1, 2004 I think the truest answer is surrender. But complete surrender is difficult to accomplish. For me at this time it is faith in the gurudeva. If I believe the guru loves me, cares about my progress, or lack of it, is aware of my practice and supports it, I am inspired to worship with greater intensity and faith that I will progress. The briefest of seconds when ...I was bursting with so much love and peace in my heart , ...I gave up trying to control my life ...I felt a complete and perfect acceptance of life The moment I had tuned into a different wavelength and all I felt was an overwhelming happiness. And then I came back to this reality. All the Asuras of this world take over ... Maybe I was just hallucinating Maybe I am just overly emotional Maybe I just need a break ... Maybe ... I just need to get a life and get out more. Maybe ... Maybe not ! All the wise sages across the centuries and spanning the globe cannot be wrong ! They say , over and over ... Your real nature IS Ananda - Bliss It is your TRUE HOME - to live in it for longer periods, do the Sadhana and cultivate the relationship with your beloved. Pave the road to back home and one day you will be in that state permanently ! So how do we keep passionate about our worship? Relive and relish and savor as vividly as I can that precious first moment I KNEW without a shadow of doubt that I had finally come home. I am wondering if the group would care to respond to the following question: Do you use kirtan as part of your regular sadhana, and if so, what experiences do you derive from, and what value do you put upon the practice? I would like to publish the answers in my magazine on kirtan, Time and Space, so please keep your answers to three or four sentences, and thank you for thinking about this. It can be so heartening to those participating in it, for spirit de core keeps the wheels of spiritual aspiration rolling. The absence of sanga kirtan can be toxic, even lethal.
