Guru's desire vs. your will.

 

I would do as the Guru desired.

 

My only example was a couple of years ago I asked my Guru (Amritanandamayi of

Kerala) about dealing with the anger and resentment I had toward a previous boss

for an unwanted transfer that I felt was unfair. The answer came back to accept

what had happened give any anger I felt to Ammachi and not to look for another

job. Now mind you I hadn't even thought of changing jobs,but who knows

considering the mood I was in.The first few months were rough going at work due

to my bad attitude, but now considering the events of this last year (having to

evict a destructive room mate & the fact that my old department is

dissolving)staying in this new position was the best "decision" ever. I'm also

looking at the possibility of a promotion.

 

The Guru knows best in the mundane as well as the spiritual.
