Ahimsa

I've noticed how this email forum can work as a sadhana, how it can

cultivate ahimsa. If we practice gentleness in our delivery we wont

drive the knife deeper into the wound. Our words and tongue can be

sharp knives and we need to be careful to not wound with them.

If I have a wound with a knife stuck in there or more knives coming at

me, how can it heal? First we have to take out the knife if it's

still in the wound. Second, drop it. Third, clean it out, apply

medicine of Truth and bandage it. Fourth, keep it protected so it

can heal properly. If we keep hitting ourselves with our own knife,

the wound will never heal and we wont be practicing non-violence.

Also, if we stay in a situation where we are in the line of fire, we

cannot let our own wounds heal.

If we feel a need to deliver an arrow of Truth, hopefully it will be a

cupid arrow to inspire Divine Love. Maybe as a sadhana taking a deep

breath before we hit reply will be good tapasya. Just an idea....

Jai Ma!
