I remember hearing this Shloka (written by Poonthaanam Namboothiri - a great Krishnabhakta from kerala) in Sanskrit. It went something like

"....

ya tvara gajarakshane

mayyaarthe karunasindho

ka tvara ko gatha hare.."

I am not sure of the exact verse. can anyone help me out?

Ya tvara draupadithraane - That tvara (can be roughly translated into English as enthusiasm or even urge, i guess!) which You showed to rescue Draupadi..

ya tvara gajamokshane That tvara which you displayed to give moksham to Gajendra, the elephant...

mayyaarthey karunaasindho In my sorrow, o Ocean of Mercy...

sa tvara ko gathaa Hare Where has that tvara gone, Hare???
